It’s been a long couple weeks and a lot of really bad auditions but the time has finally come.  We’re finally finding out who American Idol will send to the thunderdome next week.  It’s do or die time for these singing hopefulls and I couldn’t be more excited to get this competition underway!

So far I’m rooting most for Lakisha Jones and Jack Osbourne look alike Chris Sligh.  Am I the only one that finds this time so nerve racking?  I mean, I guess I could care less about the kids but I’m always sick with anticipation for the performances.

Can they live up to last years singers?  Will it be as fun?  Will there be a Chris Daughtry type crush?  Will Paula be stable and boring?  Will Simon play with his tits?  Will Randy use real words to describe a performance?  Things like that!

Next week the competition heats up as our Top 12 guys and Top 12 girls perform and one of each goes home a loser.  I love that Idol is back!

American Idol’s had their share of closeted queers in various stages on various seasons but none of them have been loud out and proud while gracing its glittered stage.

One of the not so focused on contending Idol’s is a Harvard educated Brit named Tom Lowe.

He’s got the looks of an Idol, the smile of an Idol, the voice of an aspiring Idol but is he good enough to move on to the Top 24 tonight?  Better yet, is he going to be the first openly gay Idol contestant?

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

And if you’re in the northeast today, happy snow day!  It’s crazy out there.  For the first time all winter, our lovely city of Boston is getting snow!  It’s a wonderous sight.  Nothing like my family in Upstate NY have  been getting but still, it says winter.
