American Idol’s Final 3

Melinda Doolittle done come in third.  It’s shocking but I don’t know what to say.  She’s an unbelievable singer and a huge huge huge talent.  She’s probably the best singer this competition has ever seen but when it comes down to it, she had to go.

I won’t lie, I shed a tear.  She should be so proud of herself and so happy that she was able to let America see that she’s a star.  Love me some Melinda!

But, my man Blake and my girl Jordin will duke it out, face to face in the American Idol finale next Tuesday.  In what will surely be one of the most bloated television events this season, either the young marketable pop and/or R&B girl will take it or Blake will beat-box his way to greatness.

I think the choice is clear… don’t you?

My girl JASLENE!

 Jaslene Top Model

I don’t know if I’ve ever been this happy for a contestant to win America’s Next Top Model since crazy mush mouth Adrienne back in Cycle 1.  Jaslene had the heart, the drive, the looks, and as we heard a zillion times tonight… the girl was FIERCE!

I really grew to love Jaslene and her Drag Queen qualities but she really worked at being ANTM8.  She worked at changing her life and loving herself after being rejected from the Top 30 last season in Cycle 7.  She came back with a vengance and worked it out!

The runway show was great and both Jaslene and Natasha kicked Cycle 7 winner Cari Dee’s ass out there on the catwalk.  Both had amazing model walks with strong bitchy fierce poses and power steps.  Great great great runway show!

Natasha, girl you made me laugh for weeks and weeks and I’m happy you came to America as a mail order bride and can now live the American dream but you had to go!  This was all about my girl Jaslene!

Viva Laughlin
I’m so excited for VIVA LAUGHLIN to premiere and I’m happy to bring you some video clips to get you as excited as I am!

Viva Laughlin is Casino meets Push, Nevada meets Moulin Rouge. It’s a mystery drama with music about eternal optimist and freewheeling businessman Ripley Holden whose sole ambition is to run a casino in Laughlin, Nevada. VIVA LAUGHLIN will premiere this Fall, Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

CBS Upfronts

I was lucky enough to get to watch a simulcast of the CBS Upfronts Presentation for the Fall 2007 television season.

That means that A) I’m one lucky Ducky B) I so got to watch the pilot presentation clips for the new shows CBS picked up. We’re talking shows like Viva Laughlin (personal fave), Moonlight (personal vampire fave), Cane (Drama), Kid Nation (Reality/Educational), Power of 10 (Summer Show), and Swingtown (Mid-Season).

THE PRESENTATION

-It’s starting off with a big music video of CBS shows to the tunes of Silversun Pickups whom I love. Good way to start!

-Alright already with the clips and there is some random group of men singing and all I know is that its neither Silversun Pickups nor is it NSYNC so gets ta gettin’

-Okay so I just realized I was watching the video and listening to my Sirius account online. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Whoops

-Wow, the sound is whack on this…

-Ew some virtual woman/avatar talking…

-Just made a “WICKED” joke, what does that have to do with TV? Well, I guess the Tony’s might be on CBS…

-Yeah, Les Moonves

-Oy, the talent and the money are laughing at his jokes about selling…

-Carnegie Hall is echo-y

-stewmurray47 just got a major major bump for his CSI:Miami bad one-liner youtube video. What!

-CBS Interactive is getting a plug… NICE! I like to think that Quincy Smith is in part responsible for getting bloggers in on the action.

-They’re looking to take over online interactive content. Hells yeah!

-Did he just call Jennifer Love Hewitt, Joanne Love Hewitt… I think he did. Ouch

-joost, hello!

-Snow Patrol is the backing music to a real clip montage. I swear I’m on the right audio now! HAHA!

-Yeah the new shows are coming…

-Nina Tassler, go girl – announce those new shows! (yes, I know we already know what the shows are)

-They claim they really paired the new with the old and are compatible.

More after the jump

CBS finally announced the Fall Lineup today and amen, How I Met Your Mother is still on the hunt for a Mother!!!

I realize there is really NOTHING on CBS I watch. I thought ABC was my least watched network, but looking below at the lineup for the fall, I realized it’s the Eye.

What am I interested in NEW shows wise you ask? Let’s see…

Viva Laughlin
VIVA LAUGHLIN
It’s about a businessman wanting to open a Casino in Laughlin, NV. Too bad Hugh Jackman runs a rival Casino. Wait, Hugh Jackman? Hells yeah, he’s also Exec. Producer.

I like it. I love it! The singing to music that actually moves the plot forward but is still just music in an episode. It’s like watching Moulin Rouge but where the actors just sing along. What you ask? Oh yes, there is singing!

Did I mention Melanie Griffith shows up, President Palmer the 2nd chimes in also. Well that and the fact that Madchen Amick co-stars and she’ll forever be Shelly from Twin Peaks! “New Shoes *raspberry noise*” I’m soooooo there!

Moonlight CBS
MOONLIGHT
Vampires, enough said!

And the coolest show since Freaks & GeeksSWINGTOWN! Swingtown doesn’t start until mid-season but it is hands down the best new show besides Pushing Daisies on a rival network. Granted, have I seen the pilots? Not yet but I will and I’m making assumptions based on my keen sense of picking what’s awesome.

Yeah, that’s about it… Well, besides those pesky 40 kids without parents for 40 days trying to make a town successful again. Yes folks, reality TV took kids and left them to their own wits in KID NATION.

The Amazing Race was renewed but not until the Spring 2008 season and the other good thing is that Without a Trace is going back to Thursdays!
