I’m dying to see MAD MEN over on AMC when it premieres next week on July 19th. I remember opening either TV Guide’s summer tv issue or EW’s and seeing this, being blown away by the quaint period pieciness of it all (that period being the big advertising hey days “cash is cow” 1960s) and concept.

Plus, who doesn’t love that Connor from Angel is finally getting some tv action? I have a soft spot for January Jones too! Plus men in 60s business attire is kinda hot.

I don’t know any bloggers that got the pilot but if any PR company out there or anyone from the show wants some blogger love, send it on my way. Use the contact form and I’m your shill. I know that Ausiello loved it, so it can’t be all bad!

Your post totally sparked my interest. I have only heard of this show in passing and didn’t know anything about it. Plus, I like to support my Angel cast in their subsequent work…

    Soooo excited for this.
But since I work at an Advertising Agency, I might be a bit biased. Believe me, it is not as glamorous anymore as this “period piece” makes it seem - but interesting nonetheless.

Pass along anything you find on this show.

Oh Elizabeth Moss! I’ll watch just for her. One of the delights of the West Wing was watching her grow from an awkward kid into an accomplished actress. I wanted to throw something at my tv whenever she was on screen the 1st season but by the end of the 4th, when she and Charlie meet in the arboretum, I couldn’t get enough of her.
