PSYCH Recap
Season 2 – Episode 3: “Psy Vs Psy”
Recap by: Mel
In 1987, Henry is in Shawn Vice Principal’s office, who’s telling him that, yes, Shawn did have a signed permission slip to go on a field trip. They bitch back and forth, and it’s pretty boring, to be quite honest. So Shawn forged his Dad’s signature. Like everyone hasn’t done that a billion times. The VP does manage to mention Henry’s “N humps” which elicited quite an immature giggle from me.
Present day, where Gus and Shawn are called to the station where they run into Lou Diamond Phillips! Hi LDP! Call me!! His character’s name is Special Agent Lars (Hee!) Ewing, with the Federal Treasury Department. He’s super serious and sort of creepy and totally hot. On the way to Chief’s office, Shawn eyes a total hottie sitting on a bench, and tells Gus to go and save him a seat. His pick-up line to Total Hottie? “Waiting for Godot? Guffman? Waiting to exhale?” Heh. He introduces himself as the Station Psychic, and tries to impress said hottie, to no avail. In Chief’s office, everyone is introduced to Special Agent Lars Ewing, who seems to take quite a liking to Jules. Lassie obviously has a gigantic man crush on him, since he’s obviously everything Lassie aspires to in life. Agent Ewing apparently has his very own stenographer named Mildred. She’s a really cute little old lady who follows him everywhere and types everything he and anyone else he’s talking to says. I really want one of those. So does Lassie.

SUPERNATURAL Panel at Comic-Con
This post comes to you all by luck. I was having the hardest time trying to figure out how to do Battlestar Galactica and Supernatural because they overlapped on Saturday. That choice was made much easier when we were shut out of Battlestar Galactica. The gang gladly sat ourselves back down in 6CDEF for the SUPERNATURAL panel and some beauty that is Jensen Ackles. We had been told ahead of time by our Warner Bros. rep that Jared has missed his flight because they were shooting until the wee hours and as much as I hate to say it, I was gonna get a kick out of watching that be announced to the crowd of blood thirsty women in the first 10 rows.
So who was on hand if JPad was not? Producer Ben Edlund, Creator Eric Kripke, Jensen Ackles, and Writer Sera Gamble strutted on our and took their seats to a crazy loud crowd.
They started it off with some special features from the upcoming Season 2 DVD. It basically recapped my life on the set of Supernatural’s All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2 – you know without me in it or anything. This was the episode I saw them film back in April. It was great to see that the graveyard scene used in the finale was not their first choice. The first choice was a couple of real graveyards that they would shoot day for night but those fell through and that’s why they ended up using the soundstage and a buttload of manure you can see in the pictures I posted from the set visit.
So what did we find out at the Supernatural panel? Well, according to Kripke, Season 3 is Wartime and the writers are so excited. The boys have a fresh slate and everyone on the show is now presented with the same dilemma. Choose a side and prepare to fight!
More after the jump, including some mild SPOILERS.

So I’ve received way too many emails from some of you asking me where the hell the So You Think You Can Dance spoilers are for this week’s Top 8 performance. I’m getting to it, y’all! I just got home yesterday from Comic-Con after what was an unbelievably fun but incredibly tiring experience and sleep is of major importance.
I hate to say it, but I haven’t even watched last weeks results show yet. Yes, I know that Kameron Bink and Jaimie Goodwin were given pink slips but apparently there was some controversy about the Wade Robson Peace dance. The contro shouldn’t be about the message, it should have been about forcing us to listen to that John Mayer song 10 times in a row. Someone should take the time to call about that instead of a peaceful dance number of hope. And Mia’s jacket? Who the hell cares. Come on folks, get serious. It’s Mia Frakkin’ Michaels wearing a shitty outfit, nothing more.
Anyhow, here are the couplings and routines for this week’s Top 8 Performance of So You Think You Can Dance.

It’s quite obvious that my favorite show for the upcoming fall season is ABC’s new quirky yet emotional dramedy PUSHING DAISIES. Saturday, Comic-Con hosted a special early morning screening and panel discussion with the cast, Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Kristin Chenoweth, as well as the creator Bryan Fuller and Director Barry Sonnenfeld.
Kath from GMMR and I thought we were being real slick and arriving for the panel at 7am (started at 9:15) only to realize many people had the same idea and we were like 75th in line for all of Hall 6. Luckily most people were there for Avatar and there was a rabid pack of female fans there already for the 2:30pm Supernatural panel. Regardless, we got 2nd row center which happened to be about 15 feet from Lee Pace himself!
Saturday’s screening was my 4th time watching the pilot and I was psyched to realize that there are still so much more awesomeness to the show than I had originally noticed. With each viewing, the show gets more enticing, layered, emotional, sentimental, witty, and down right charming. And to be truthful, with each viewing I fall more in love with Ned The Pie Maker.
