About NEW AMSTERDAM
New York City homicide detective John Amsterdam is cursed with immortality because he stopped the murder of a Native Indian girl in 1642 by stepping in front of a sword. Due to this act of kindness, the Indian girl rescued Amsterdam from the stab wound by making him immortal, but warns that it is a curse that will only be lifted when John meets his true love.

Now, Amsterdam is a homicide detective in the Big Apple where he shares his secret with Omar, a blues club owner with a few secrets of his own. John is partnered up with Eva Marquez and gets into a chase with a suspect. When he suffers what appears to be a heart attack and is revived by ER doctor Sara Dillane, he realizes that mortality may be closer then he thought.

Wow, LOST is really getting down to business in preparation for filming Season 4. Previously it was announced that Ken Leung was joining and now Lance Reddick will join as a intimidating Corporate Recruiter. You mean more so than Ethan and Richard? Scary…

If you watch HBO’s The Wire you may recognize Reddick. If you watched the homoerotic prison drama OZ, then you might remember his face too. I’m almost positive he was the undercover cop acting as a prisoner who got shanked and thrown down a flight of stairs or something? He was brought in toward the end of the run when there was all this fishy stuff going down… I’m not 100% sure.

If he dropped his pants I’m sure I’d be able to identify which character he was in a lineup. Those OZ boys loved being naked… and I loved them for it.

Chris Meloni, call me.

Big Brother 8

Love her or hate her, Amber from BIG BROTHER 8 is pretty damn good television.  From her hourly breakdowns, to her splotchy cry face, to her nasty drug-enduced pregnancy lies, to outing her family as anti-semites.  From nasty curly hair with cripsy bangs, to straight hair with nasty crispy bangs all the way to corn rows and back.  Amber is reality tv gold!

How do I know?  Because I can’t get enough of her whacked out self! Last night did not disappoint because Amber was so hysterical!

So as we know, Dani put Amber and Jameka up on the block for eviction. Amber spent a good amount of time crying and wondering why she was up on the block. Then she goes to the hammock and talks with Jameka, telling her that she had a VISION FROM GOD that she would win the Power of Veto and be safe for another week.

A VISION folks, and she’s dead serious. God spoke to her! It’s not like she saw the face of Jesus in her slop or that she saw Mary’s face in the fogged over bathroom mirror… she had a vision from God that she would win POV.

Regardless, girl so does not win POV and to see her asking why God gave her that vision had me rolling! Amber is obviously “that” girl, the girl sitting in Church who all the sudden breaks out in tongues. You know she is! She’s crazy.

I didn’t get the chance to see last night’s DAMAGES so I don’t have any thoughts for you, instead I bring you an interview with Anastasia Griffith (Katie Connor) that I participated in.

It’s an interview heavy day (Kyle XY’s Matt Dallas) folks, hope you enjoy.

Question: With growing up as the youngest child with a lot of older brothers, I was wondering growing up were they very over-protective of you or maybe too much so?

A. Griffith: Surprisingly, not so, actually. For people who don’t know, I’ve got six older brothers and I am the only girl and the youngest. I think secretly they were a lot more protective than they ever let on to me. You know, people have told me since, being an adult, that my brothers are fiercely protective of me, but they’ve never kind of let me know that, which I think is probably a good thing.

Question: In one of the interviews with your brother Jamie a few years ago he mentioned that your father was kind of very reluctant for him to go into acting. I was wondering if you met that same kind of issue?

A. Griffith: Dad has always been a businessman himself and he’s always just been a little bit cynical about the world of acting and I think for Jamie, Jamie is an incredibly bright guy and he had so many opportunities when he was younger and acting kind of grabbed his attention, as it did mine.

I think Dad is old school and he kind of, I think, thinks it’s more fitting for a daughter to go into acting than it is a for a son, but having said that, he’s done everything he can to encourage me to do other things. He’s got huge confidence in my intelligence and my ability to do things and also to act. But he just has no trust, I think, in the world of acting.

But, having said that, since Damages has taken off for me and it’s doing so well he’s actually written me a note recently saying congratulations and you, obviously, did the right thing.
