I love this place !!
Finally I found some other unhappy folks daring to share their opinion.
I'm not gonna lie... I had a complete negative pre-judgement prior to premiere.

What is left after 3 eps... the same fear, maybe even more since some of my fears are coming true. I read the sides and they are not easing my doubts and believe me when I say I'd like it too be different. I did put all my faith and trust in MrK and his team. So far... i'm disappointed. It's like they are trying too hard, way too hard to make us accept the new girls. So like others said before it comes out cliché-style. 3 episodes is not enough to judge fully I know that and I will keep my hopes up but I lost the excitement I had the other seasons and that's never a good sign.

I'm not liking that Bela is being added some "scary" background... where's the need. She's an a$$... ok let her be an a$$ I don't have any problem with that, but why feel complied to have "incredibly terrible things happen to her"... do all thieves have that background ? Let us know how she first became aware of the supernatural world and that's enough for me.

About Ruby... WTF... seriously...
"in my opinion the introduction of Ruby in the season premiere proved that you can bring on kick ass female characters that add to the dynamic instead of taking away from it" : Dan/Ducky, really ?? the over-cliché "I'm the girl who saved your ass" line ?? does that comfort you ?? It was the worst line EVER given a character in this show... and that was supposed to impress me ? I know I'm not a professional caster/agent/actor/producer/whatever-in-the-biz-person but come on they surely could have come up with a better actress than that girl. What am I happy about so far ?? 3 eps gone, 2 with her that leaves only 10 more to endure with her... way to look up to the future. woohoo. And it's horrible but with everybody repeating that the fandom has been overreacting this summer I now feel complied to defend myself and my opinion. I have nothing against the Ruby character... I just am far from convinced by the actress. And for the record... I had nothing against Jo.
"the whole uprising was ridiculous"... who can tell what would have happened if the fandom hadn't reacted that way ??? How long did the CW/MrK take to make some PR about the Rubela thing ?? If really no love interest was planned from the beginning, why wait so long to face us and explain ? Plus if I recall correctly, MrK never ruled the love interest completely... he said that depending on the on-screen chemistry between the character who could tell what would happen... so i'm not sure our reaction was ridiculous.

And I'm all for more old recurring characters. Loved Ellen (and at least she was credible on screen)... hell they waited until 2 days ago to contact her for a "possible" gig ??? Waouh... I'm impressed... what was the point in bringing her back in AHBL2 do make her disappear completely and not even be mentioned for half a season !!! Not to talk about Jo who apparently was just erased from earth's surface. The writers seem to easily forget what happened in previous episodes... I get that you can't stay in touch with all the guest characters (Missouri/Sarah/Cassie...) but at least be logical with recurring ones... or just kill them off properly.

So yeah for all these reasons I'm so far disappointed and not specially excited for the future of my previously favourite show.

so, she's in 50% and Ruby's in the other half. Great.

Ruby's introduction was retarded.

Way to kill a cool show, show....

WTF is up with this interviewer is that he has attended Comic-Con where girls were ready to claw the eyes out of anyone who mentions the girls names. This interviewer is also someone who's had a great number of conversations with supernatural fans who also were so up in arms about the girls that he was shocked at all the vitriol being spewed.

Hi, I'm Dan aka Ducky and I'm a huge HUGE fan of Supernatural and lover of said "fandom". I don't think I was making assumptions in stating that people were wanting these girls heads on a platter. Read the comments, without seeing one single frame of film with either of these girls there's already so much backlash. My only hope is that people give it a chance and trust the writers enough to not ruin the show we all love.

True, no new promo shots of the boys have been issued to date and I will talk to my Warner Bros reps to find out if some are in the can. The two that were released for the girls have not been confirmed as real promo shots for SPN. There are the episodic shots of the girls but there are also ones of the boys. The reason the girls have been featured is to create buzz for their arrival. It's the same that would happen on any other show that was introducing new characters. Look at Grey's Anatomy, a completely different genre so you may not like it but front and center on every single promo is newbie Lexie Grey. You could make the same argument there.

My only issue is and has always been that we're pre-judging the girls and questioning the person who brought us such a killer show to begin with. Period. Faith is all I'm asking for.

As for bringing old characters back, I'm all for it! How about throwing AMY ACKER back in the mix! A Season 1 fave for me and the rest of the Angel fans out there!

you know, i think one of the main problems i have with this whole bela/ruby thing is: (sorry, i just slashed bela and ruby. oh well.)

they are billed ABOVE BOBBY AND ELLEN.

in my view, jury's still out on cassidy. i like the fact that lauren cohan seems to have a brain, but until i see her, i'm still wondering what the heck is so important about her that she is billed above two awesome recurring characters that are very important, imho, to the storyline. and have been part of the cast for over a year now!! just for reference, i liked jo --alot --but didn't think she was right for dean. however, i hope we get to see more of her. in fact, there were past several characters we'd like to see again: sarah blake, missouri, and btw... what really happened to Layla?

also, wtf about this interviewer making smartass remarks directed at fandom? doesn't he realize members of the SPN fandom ARE PROBABLY THE ONLY PEEPS WHO ARE GONNA READ THIS???

talk about biting the hand that FEEDS. we are not stupid, thank you. we'd like to see more support for credible characters who are already in canon. the way the CW is promoting these characters in the promo shots was insulting to Jensen and Jared --who didn't even get promo pix. we noticed. we support our show and certainly want Jensen & Jared to get some well-deserved rest, but are suspicious of the real reason for these particularly blatantly sexy new characters.

Brian (not the same Brian), thank you for such a thought out response. I don't understand the hatred for the girls because everything is speculation and uneducated. We've not seen the final plans for the show. We're currently heading into Episode 3... 3 out of 22 folks. That's a long way to go and I feel that the show has not steered us wrong yet, so why are we questioning their creative decisions now? People were evil about Jo and I for one really enjoyed Jo and her interaction with the boys. Have some faith folks, sit back and watch the show we love.

The sense of entitlement is mind blowing...

No one's saying they should only interact with each other and really I haven't seen that as the case in the last two years either. They're constantly on the road meeting new people. I don't think the women get any worse of breaks on this show than the other male characters whose names aren't Dean and Sam. We've seen their interaction with recurring characters like Bobby, John, Gordon, Ellen, Meg, etc too. I don't have an issue with them continuing to add recurring characters, it's that they added two people for up to 12 episodes each that I have an issue with. Maybe if they'd started out slower like perhaps 6 episodes each or something it would have created less problems for people because they'd be giving people time to get used to such a big change in the format and breaking them in slower. But instead, they're throwing these two new characters at us right away and having them alternately appear nearly every episode of the season. Also if they wanted to increase some screentime for a badass female, they could have given some more Ellen's way because she's great.
