And I was pretty well entertained but then Patti LaBelle and her choir came out, and I realized I was bored up until that point. On top of that, why would a choir sing Bon Jovi when church songs like "He's Got the Whole World..." are MADE For things like this. I wished i was in the choir. Then I forced my annoyed husband to watch that performance, and even he was impressed! OK I was not planning on watching this at all but being the choir nerd that I am, I got sucked in. I loved this show for all of it's ups and downs. I am also Team Labelle all the way. Her choir was what I waited the whole night for. You know that as she sat there listening to some of the crap-fest choirs she was thinking to herself..."uh-huh..wait til' I show you how it's done!" And she did. You must, must watch all week!!!!
