  1. Ducky says:

Okay so scouring the web I found out that Mandy Moore (love you girl) choreographed Kourtni and Matt’s Jazz routine. Mia Michael’s choreographs Chelsie and Mark’s Contemporary routine! So excited that this show is back and in full effect.

  2. Alyson says:

Thanks, Ducky! I’d been looking around yesterday for the pairings and you’ve read my mind. These pairings seem so bizarre now; I can’t wait to see who clicks and who doesn’t. I’m a bit nervous that Twitch is with Kherington, who doesn’t have much personality. Jessica King and William Wingfield might be ones to watch, but they drew the tango, which can often come off kind of tacky. I’m excited for Chelsie and Marc’s contemporary routine; I loved Marc’s solo during Vegas week, and think Chelsie should be able to adapt to contemporary pretty well, especially if Mia’s choreographing. Also excited for the jazz routine.

im excited about chelsie and mark with the mia michaels contemporary routine. i can see chelsie really exceeding in this.

  4. Emily says:

Dan, I had forgotten about your routine spoilers every week. Now I’m even more pumped about tomorrow night! Except for the fact that I don’t know the kids by their names well enough yet to anticipate anything, good or bad, about their pairings or first routine. I will say that unlike Alyson, I think Kherington and Twitch will be amazing together. Too much cuteness in those two!

I’m also really excited that Mandy Moore will be choreographing for the first show. She is by far the most underutilized choreographer on the show. I can’t remember who Matt is, but I think Mandy’s choreography will suit Kourtni (what’s up with all the weird name spellings?)

And is it bad that I hope that Debbie Allen protege gets the boot early in the season so she can come back as a judge?

  5. Pooh says:

Chelsie and Mark . . .wow . . . Mark will make her look really good!!!!

  6. James says:

I’m personally bugged that Wade won’t be choreographing this season. I understand that he’s busy working on a new Cirque de Soleil show here in Las Vegas (as if we don’t have enough of those already…I know we have more than five different shows!) I always liked his stuff, well, except for that strange mother and baby fox thing that Sabra & Lacey did at the finale last season. It was just creepy!

Did anyone notice that Mia Michaels used the “hot mess” line about once every five minutes? Holy hell girl! I was ready to reach through my TV and choke her until she becomes a hot tranny mess! :)

  8. Dianne says:

YAY!!!! So glad this show is back. As for the pairings, the only people I recognize are Twitch and William. That being said, I think Twitch has the personality and skills to pull off Broadway – depending on who choreographs it. As for the Contemporary piece – Mr. Ed and The Scarecrow could be dancing it … as long as Mia’s in charge, I’m on board. It will be great to see how this shakes out. I hope Shane does some guest choreographing, but with his ABDC duties, we may not see much of him. Oh well, on with the show

  9. Dianne says:

Yikes! I didn’t realize that Wade wasn’t on board this season (must have been in a cave somewhere). SUCKIT! That bites. No Wade or Shane. Seriously, if Dan tries to choreo any routines, I may have to take out a contract on his life.

  10. Tara says:

DISASTER!! Ducky, I need your help. I just moved from NY to Florida a few days ago, and after going back & forth over DirecTv or Comcast, I finally settled on Comcast. It was only installed today, and my trial run on my DVR was taping tonight’s SYTYCD because I couldn’t be at home. Well, my DVR taped SEVEN minutes of the show. Yes, 7. I got the butt end of Katee & Joshua’s hip hop and then basically commercial. I walked in the door just in time to see Courtney & Gev, and then during the recap, my DVR put up a message that covered half the screen letting me know it wasn’t working. Thanks, like I didn’t notice.

If you find links to the other performances, even if they’re not good performances, can you post them or e-mail them to me? I live for this show and some of my fav dances (Lacey & Kameron’s “Dancing,” Donielle & Benji’s “Too Much Booty”) have been in the very first episode.

I almost wanted to cry. Thank you for any help Ducky!

  11. James says:

OK, well now I feel stupid because apparently Wade is going to choreograph tomorrow’s group routine. My “source” was wrong – go figure!

Nice post! GA is also my biggest earning. However, it
