Anyhow, this is supposed to be about another guest talent they’ve lined up for their August 11th episode. According to word I just got from TNT, funny gal Jennifer Coolidge stops by Priority Homicide for a Provenza-centric episode!
In the episode entitled “Dial M for Provenza,” Coolidge plays Angie Serabian, a none-too-bright woman married to the rich owner of a car dealership who winds up ensnared in an undercover sting operation. “Dial M for Provenza” not only provides a great showcase for Coolidge but also for veteran actor G.W. Bailey as Lt. Provenza, whose unfortunate luck once again edges him towards the cusp of forced retirement.
Coolidge is a comic genius and it pains me some of the hideous roles she takes on but we’ll always have her brilliance when she takes on a Christopher Guest role. Fingers crossed that she kicks ass here. I’m dying to see how she and Provenza interact… I’m laughing already!
