Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass Partner on Dancing With The Stars
Posted by: Ducky in Ducky Does TV, Gay, Lacey SchwimmerI hate this show but damn, they’re making it harder for me to ignore Dancing With The Stars. Not only has openly gay singer celebrity person Lance Bass been cast, his partner is none other than So You Think You Can Dance Season 3 Alum Lacey Schwimmer!
As much as I love my girl Lacey, I can’t watch… I won’t. I’m glad she got a professional gig on TV but I cannot watch this subpar dancing show. ’nuff said.

I love me some Lacey, but this is a major downgrade for her.

It is a downgrade for her but I don’t think I’ll be able to stop myself from watching!!! I’m pathetic!

I love Lacey and am so happy for her. I don’t think it is a downgrade for her actually. I think the exposure will do wonders for her clothing line and other ventures. Although, IMO, DWTS is not on par with SYTYCD technically, its viewership is larger. So, it should be a win-win for Lacey. I’m psyched at any rate.

I have to agree with Journay2 that this is going to be banoodles of exposure for Miss Lacey Mae and it will allow more people to get to know the dirty bird herself. Love that girl.

I don’t think it’s a “downgrade” at all. In fact, I’d consider it a huge step up. The SYTYCD contestants earned a measly $40,000 from that entire tour. The DWTS dancers gets paid $50,000 for the show + they get paid extra for the tour. Lacey will get paid over twice as much on DWTS. The audience is also three times bigger.
Congratulations, Lacey! I’ve heard that Snow and Anya tried to get on the show but they were rejected. Lacey has that “star” quality.

Go Lacey! You don’t have to watch, just VOTE for Lacey! I need 2 seasons of SYTYCD per year and this will help send the message!
DWTS is a show about relationships with some dance thrown in. If you look at it like that (just trying something brand new on national television) then you can see that it is a great show. A very cheesy family show. But Tom Bergeron is the best host of a live show I’ve ever seen. He is this generation’s Dick Van Dyke.

I don’t normally watch DWTS, but I’ll definitely tune in for Lacey. I’m a little worried with her partnership though, Lance was always the weakest dancer in *N Sync. Then again, I bet Lacey could partner a rag doll and make it look good

I think that DWTS is a good place for dancers to take part in. DWTS is not the best show in terms of showcasing talent but people will watch it regardless. SYTYCD is a terrible way to continue a career in dance because the opportunities that surrounds that show rarely reaches outside of that stage. DWTS would bring more exposure to dancers because they are able to get that large exposure that they need. DWTS opens up more doors because the number of viewers is nearly 3 times of SYTYCD and dancers would make more money as well. I have never heard of any other dancer that leaves SYTYCD and finds a successful career. Lacey may really find that DWTS would offer more opportunities to broaden her career in dance and to also gain that level of exposure that dancers seem to lack of. There has been many dancers on DWTS dancers that have found so much more success from the show include dancers like Julianne Hough, Mark Ballas, Derek Hough. All 3 are signed with major record labels because of their success on the show and they still make a whole lot of money for their work. SYTYCD rarely pays their dancers even though their level of talent is tremendous.
