I know that I’m a really horrible TV Blogger, I get it and I know it sucks. If I’m not gallivanting here or there, I’m too busy doing X, Y & Z or like this past week… packing and moving. That really puts a huge kink in television viewing which then means I’ve got nothing to blog about.

Trust me, it annoys me more than it annoys y’all. The only thing I can tell you is that Kath (GMMR) and I plan on doing another podcast as soon as possible because we know there’s a ton of stuff to talk about.

What are you all watching? What do you all want to talk about? Should we talk about Jason Stackhouse’s abs (TRUE BLOOD)? Thomas Jane’s monster wang (HUNG)? HARPER’S ISLAND’s newest dead weight? Who’ll become THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR? NURSE JACKIE? WIPEOUT?

Oh no, I’ve got it… THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ’s crazy assedness! While I love the HOUSEWIVES franchise and thoroughly enjoyed New Jersey’s cast, that reunion show was the most boring thing ever!

You know how Dina’s Husband Tommy has never been on the show? Well I got to see him today! Randomly I turned on the tube for a couple minutes and saw Dina and Caroline! It wasn’t Housewives though, it was a 2007 rerun of MY BIG FAT FABULOUS WEDDING! The show chronicled Dina and Tommy’s $1,125,000 750 guest wedding and it was banoodles! I loved seeing little Lexie, roots for days Dina and semi-Kate Gosselin bad hair on Caroline. No sign of Teresa, Jacqueline or whorey mcwhoresalot Danielle.

I hope to be back to regular viewing shortly, in the meantime thanks for being cramazing.

It’s been two weeks since I last did a post on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 and that’s crazy talk! I was out of town last week and to this day I still have not seen the performances that sent Ashley and Maxim home but oh well, moving on…

This week I hate to burst your bubble but I’m only going to give some quick thoughts on each of the Top 8 couples as I’m moving in the morning. Ducky needs some beauty sleep.

*Don’t forget you can download all of the songs you’ve heard tonight over at our So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Music Guide!

The Guest Judge this week is Toni Basil and I used to be excited to see her but now I feel like she’s turned into a cold uninterested yet unable to criticize bore. I thought hands down this was the weakest set of dances we’ve seen on this show in a while. Most of the couples were forgettable and still the Judges praised almost all of them as if they were blind. It pissed me off. Am I the only one that thought the dances kinda sucked this week? Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

First up were Karla and Jonathan doing a Dave Scott choreographed Hip-Hop routine. I was kind of excited to see little Jonathan try and be gangsta but it fell so damn flat. I thought both kids were off mark and kinda terrible this week. The choreography was also pretty weak but what are ya gonna do?

Asuka and Vitolio danced a Jazz routine by Mandy Moore and I hate to admit it (because you know I love my girl Mandy Moore) but that routine sucked big donkey balls. Asuka & Vitolio were so poorly matched for this style of dance that at times I thought they were in slow motion. They were too quiet and fluid to match the hard edge the song required and I don’t know if it was Mandy’s choreography or their actual technique that was killing me but something stunk to high heaven.

I just wanted to quickly remind everyone that tonight is the GREEK season finale (“At World’s End”) over on ABC Family!

It’s been a wonderful season for GREEK and I can’t say I love this show any more than I do right now. I’ve enjoyed watching Casey and Max’s relationship blossom and fade, I’ve enjoyed watching Rusty finally get some, I’ve enjoyed Cal getting some storyline, Beck’s going gay, Evan and Cap rekindling their friendship and Ash getting some hot man action… oh and don’t forget Dale getting (or at least fighting off) some action.

I’ve watched the finale twice already (yes, I adored it that much) and I’m sad that the season is over. There are so many possibilities for next season that my mind grapes might explode if I think about them too much.

Here’s what I can tell you this about what goes down tonight at Cypress Rhodes… Someone goes gay, someone throws their purity pledge ring away, someone gets some hot cougar action, someone’s in a coffin, someone’s missing the biggest party of the world, someone’s busted for pot, someone’s spending seven minutes in heaven (or 2 minutes in a cramped closet), someone’s coming back to CRU, someone’s leaving CRU and someone loves them a muffin top! Curious? I know you are…

Check out a preview of tonight’s GREEK season finale:

And finally, check a clip from tonight’s finale:

GREEK’s season finale airs tonight at 8pm on ABC Family!

From time to time Kath and I like to shake things up. We’ll disappear for 4 months without podcasting, we’ll move, we’ll record entire Comic-Con panels, we’ll be Two Idiots Talking LOST and during the summer we really like to talk about SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!

Welcome to a special SYTYCD Edition of the TV Talk Podcast where Kath and I give our thoughts on everything Season 5!

This week we start with covering the Top 20 performance episode, list our faves, talk about potential SYTYCD TV Boyfriends and finally discuss whether or not the first two dancers eliminated deserved to go home or not!

If you’re a fan of So You Think You Can Dance, sit back and listen to the pouring rain outside the car as we talk enjoy! Yes we did a podcast in a car and yes, it was a monsoon outside!

SYTYCD Top 18 - Season 5

*Don’t forget you can download all of the songs you’ve heard tonight over at our So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Music Guide!

Last night was the first elimination night of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 and as you can see by my late post, I didn’t watch the show until this morning. I know, blasphemy.

To kick off the show, the Top 20 performed a hip-hop number to “Boom Boom Pow” from The Black Eyed Peas choreographed by Shane Sparks! While I love me some ABDC, I miss having Shane as a Judge on my beloved SYTYCD. At least we get the dude back on the show every once in a while! I’ll take it.

GMMR and I were just talking last night about how they got rid of the parter reveal and looky-loo last night they showed us a rapid fire version of the boys revealing themselves to the girls – wait, that sounds dirtier than it was… or was it?

The first three couples take the stage:
Kayla & Max – Safe
Randi & Evan – Safe
Jeanine & Phillip – Safe

The audience flipped out when they mentioned Phillip’s name. I guess his exposure from last season has made him a huge fan fave. After the reveal that all 3 couples were safe, it was adorable to watch Cat just throw her cards in the air (and wave em like she just don’t care).

Next on stage:
Caitlin & Jason – Safe
Melissa & Ade – Safe
Ashley & Kupono – Safe
Paris & Tony – Bottom 3

While I’m not surprised that Tony and Paris are in the Bottom 3, I’m a little shocked that more girls (and gays) didn’t reach out and dial to save Jailbait Tony.

Last group:
Asuka & Vitolio – Bottom 3
Janette & Brandon – Safe
Karla & Jonathan – Bottom 3

While I’m not surprised Jonathan is a bottom (I kid, I kid) – I’m actually completely surprised that he and Karla were in the Bottom 3. What’s going on out there? I guess the little tweens were in bed by the time 10 o’clock came around and they couldn’t vote for the adorable ones? Seriously, is this a dance competition or a beauty pageant? Oh wait, it is about the dancing… (more…)

TV Talk Podcast with GMMR and Ducky is back… well sorta! We know we’ve been gone for a couple months and we’re sorry to have abandoned you all so here’s a little something to tide you over until we can do a real podcast in the upcoming weeks. Thank you all for being patient with our ridonkulously busy schedules and for always being such kick ass listeners.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 Top 20 Photo

Well, its the episode we’ve been waiting almost a year to see, the Top 20 of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 are set, paired and dancing their asses off for our judgment and hopefully approval! Going into tonight, I was giddy as a schoolgirl with excitement but then I watched WIPEOUT and TOP CHEF MASTERS because I got a little nervous and wanted to ease into the performances. I’m so lame… this I know!

“Welcome to So You Think You Can Dance!” Cat Deeley, I’ve missed you saying that and I love to hear it again! Now if only we can make it through the episode without hearing the audience say “Jidges”…

I love that she came out dancing in some bedazzled spiders web of a dress and claimed that she had “new babies” – she’s sickly sweet and… OH CHRIST she just had the audience scream “Jidges” – curses! Make it stop.

The Judges tonight are obviously Nigel and Mary and thankfully joining them for the first performance episode is The Shankman who’s pulled himself together enough to get on television after his heartbreak of the last week or so. We love you Shankman!

Here’s some previous contestant scoop before the dancing starts: Katee, Joshua, Ivan, Twitch and other SYTYCD alum are in Step It Up 3-D (which is the ONLY way you’ll get my ass into a seat to watch that crap).

*Don’t forget you can download all of the songs you’ve heard tonight over at our So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Music Guide!

Enough with the filler, let’s get to the dancing!

Jeanine and Phillip are first with a hip-hop routine from Napoleon and Tabitha. If you’ve been following me for the last couple seasons, you know I cant stand a slow hip-hop and this was one of them. While there were some good moments and some fun choreography, overall I felt that these two are not completely comfortable together yet. Jeanine was actually really good and I found that she was more “on” than Phillip. Shankman praised them to the hills and I’m kinda shocked. I’m gonna rewatch… I still find these two missing beats and out of sync. Am I wrong?

Asuka and Vitolio are next and their matched with Tyce Diorio for a Broadway silent film-esque number. What Asuka lacked in technique with this genre, she made up for it in confidence. Vitolio can jump like a mother frakker and has great control. There was something lacking for part of the performance and I don’t really know what was off. Mary thought it was safe, Nigel thought it was an issue with the expectations of choreography and personality. I think I agree.

Karla and Jonathan (aka pretty eyes but way too jailbait to comment) have the Cha-Cha with Tony Meredith. If you made it through the first part of the dance and all the strobe lights without having a seizure, pat yourselves on the back. Did you see Jonathan’s split through Karla’s legs? HELLO! This is the first well matched coupling of the night but my issue is that the two didn’t have a lot of eye contact and for a sexy dance, I wanted a little more interplay. Shankman liked it, Mary screamed and commented that she likes her cha-cha rough… Miss Murphy if you’re nasty! Nigel keeps talking about how some of these kids have slipped through the radar but he’s the fucking Exec. Producer and he can change that so he’s got no one to blame but himself.

Randi and Evan are up next and I gotta say I’m not a huge fan (on sight) about this pairing. They’re going with a Jazz routine from Tyce which is well matched for my boy Evan so I’m pretty excited about that at least. Wait, Randi is MARRIED? Shouldn’t she be on ENGAGED AND UNDERAGE? Now that I’ve watched the routine 3x, I have to eat my words. Randi is incredbile and fearless. She had no problem throwing herself around and attacking Evan! Hands down my favorite couple of the night! Who knew? Evan is a cramazing dancer and I cannot wait to see him get a Mia, Mandy or Sonya routine because that boy can work it!

More dancing after the jump… (more…)

In case you don’t have Showtime or in case you missed this past Monday’s premiere, here is your chance to watch the Season 5 premiere of WEEDS for free at Ducky Does TV!

While I may not agree with Nancy Botwin’s parenting skills, there’s no denying this show is often hilarious and some of the acting is out of this world. I’ve watched the first 3 episodes already and while it’s a little redundant, there are some big payoffs coming your way! Courtesy of my friends at Showtime, I present to you the WEEDS Season 5 Premiere!

Watch the Season 5 Premiere of WEEDS!

Don’t forget to catch WEEDS and NURSE JACKIE every Monday night only on Showtime! What’s that? You missed NURSE JACKIE too? Well click here to check that premiere out as well!

Neil Patrick Harris should join the ranks of Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, John Waters and Ellen Degeneres as the only people that should be allowed to host any awards show. Ever.

If you missed the TONY AWARDS last night (or are a straight man), here’s your chance to catch Neil Patrick Harris’ incredible closing number that recaps that nights big winners (and losers).

Hands down the most genius moment of tonight’s TONY AWARDS was Bret Michaels getting knocked out by the huge ass Broadway sign after his lip-scynching performance with Poison.

Oh god it’s good!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 Top 20 Photo

Last night, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE announced their Top 20 finalists for Season 5 and aside from a few surprises, I’m really excited for the crop of kids that will be dancing across my screen all summer. Here they are in all their neuvo 80’s and craptastic dance stylings.

The top 10 girls are Randi Evans, Karla Garcia, Caitlin Kinney, Asuka Kondoh, Janette Manrara, Jeanine Mason, Kayla Radomski, Melissa Sandvig, Paris Torres and Ashley Valerio; and the top guys are Kupono Aweau, Tony Bellissimo, Brandon Bryant, Phillip Chbeeb, Jason Glover, Vitolio Jeune, Max Kapitannikov, Evan Kasprzak, Ade Obayomi and Jonathan Platero.

So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Auditions

This is it kids, the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 Top 20 were revealed last night and I was out doing my best GLEE rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’” on Rock Band 2 while you all watched the show! I’m a bad SYTYCD fan… or am I support FOX in awesome multitaskingness? You decide.

Anywhoozle, there were some shockers and plenty of tears and as we saw Wednesday night, they’re not wasting any time notifying these kids which ones stay and which ones go home. Instead of recapping the entire episode, I’m just giving you some of my thoughts as it played out.

That flip/split lovin’ Janette made it to the Top 20, I can handle that. She seems pretty good and god knows she’s flexible. No complaints in sending her to the live shows.

Who is this adorable Diana chick with the Kelis hair? She didn’t make the Top 20 but she got some great feedback from the Judges and girl is green, use it for next season!

Vitolio? Nitro? What’s his name? The boy’s got Joshua’s ability to jump and because we’ve really not seen the kid before, I’m excited to see where his talent lies.

I love that during the “No” montage, Cat was sitting behind that curtain to give each of these kids a big hug. Again, how does she not get nominated for an Emmy every season? I still call bullshit.

Blond Kayla has hair that Jon hates. That’s about all I remember of this girl. Mia went into some diatribe about how she loves male dancers and how its rare she connects with female dancers… until Kayla. That has me intrigued because that’s some killer high praise from my girl Mia!

Pono (Kuponohiipoi Aweau) hit the stage and I almost forgot about the kid. Maybe we didn’t notice him because he shaved off that amazing hair of his. Dammit, that hair was hot business but apparently it was distracting to Mary. Really Mary? That hair was distracting but that cowboy outfit and heinous dye job from the Dallas auditions was fine for you to be sporting? Doubtful! Praise the gods that this kid made it to the Top 20!

Can anyone guess my most hated moments of the Top 20 reveal? Yes friends, that would be the “yes” montage where they just breeze past some dancers we know but more importantly, ones we don’t frakkin’ know yet. HATE THAT! Paris Torres, Jeanine Mason and Ade, Karla and someone named Jonathan got the breeze by (and surely I got some of their names wrong).

They drag little innocent Brandon Bryant out on stage and the first thing said to the kid was that he annoys the fuck out of Mia and that she thinks he’s got an attitude and a fake smile. Wow! Debbie Allen steps in to fight Mia, Nigel gets up in arms, Lil C backs Mia up then Mary Murphy says she can’t sit there and listen to this crap. After all the slander, the kid makes it to the Top 20. When Mia asks what’s gonna happen when they get in a room together all he says is that “it’s on!” Nice!

After the break, my boy Tony Bellissimo heads out to the lions den AND MAKES IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can’t tell I’m excited, can you? Potential SYTYCD Season 5 Boyfriend #1 – check!

Oh Christ, more of the “yes” breeze throughs. Someone named Maxim, the other Kinney girl, Melissa in the tutu, and sweeeeet… dance-kick his partner in the face Jason Glover made it! That’s Potential SYTYCD Season 5 Boyfriend #2 – check!

4 time auditioner Ashley Valerio made it to the Top 20 and does anyone else see a little Jessica Alba and Rachael Lee Cook in her? Adorable!

Kelly Pickler Randi Evans loves a unitard and Mia commended the girl on her commitment to the ‘tard. It was pretty funny. I’m officially dubbing her Randi’tard.

After the break, my boy Alex Wong took the stage and can we talk about the calves on this kid? He is ridiculously muscly and hot while he performs. The fact that he didn’t make the Top 20 because he’s under contract with a ballet company that won’t release him makes me sick. PLEASE RETURN NEXT YEAR ALEX WONG!

“No” montage to Kelly Clarkson’s “Save You” …

And here’s a total shocker… with only 3 spots left there are 5 dancers sitting backstage. No surprise, they’re going to pit The Broadway Brothers against each other because the next to last spot for the boys goes to Phillip Chbeeb. While I love The Chbeeb… nevermind, I won’t finish that sentence. Congratulations kiddo.

Fuck me. The Broadway Brothers (Evan and Ryan Kaspzrak) are pitted against each other and if I’m forced to choose, I go with the younger one Evan. While I realize Ryan has the choreography background and a general ease with all styles, in the footage we’ve seen over the weeks, Evan has the technique and potential. You’ll be missed Ryan. You will be missed!

For the girls, I loved that Asuka asked why the Asian ballroom was up against the blond contemporary jazz girl (Deanna). I’m with ya sister! Moving into the Top 20 will be Asuka!

Your Guys: Ade, Brandon, Evan , Jason, Jonathan, Kupono, Max, Phillip, Tony, Vitolio
Your Girls: Ashley, Asuka, Caitlin, Janette, Jeanine, Karla, Kayla, Melissa, Paris, Randi

America, here are your SYTYCD Season 5 Top 20!
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 Top 20 Photo

*Don’t forget to download the songs you heard in tonight’s episode by checking out the So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Music Guide!

It’s Thursday morning and I’ve managed to go 11 hours without being spoiled on the first cuts made on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 Vegas Week… that is until someone I never expected in a million years even watched the show, spoiled me on Facebook 2 minutes before I sat down to watch last night’s episode. *shakes fist* CURSES!

172 Season 5 hopefuls are in Vegas competing for a spot in the Top 20 and to help guide us through the Top 20 are the crazy awesome Mia Michaels, Lil C, The Shankman and praise the lord she’s back, Debbie Allen!

The dancers kick off with solos and Alex Wong is first up. He’s crazy manic and tribal and Mia damn near wet herself for the guy. If I’m being honest, so did I… that boy’s body was sick and the control he had over that monster, genius!

Hip-Hopper Tony Bellissimo came with a briefcase, photo of Nigel and plenty of theatrics but I wanted more dancing from the kid. He’s adorable but dance kid, dance!

After the solos, Nigel brings the entire crew on stage and makes the first set of cuts. 45 dancers are gone including Friday Night Lights Travis and some others but there’s not time to cry because NappyTabs are putting the kids through some intense hip-hop choreography!

After the first round of hip-hop, 38 contestants were sent packing. My favorite moment so far is Mia getting nasty and telling everyone she likes watching people go home! Sing it sister. The most shocking moment so far is the reveal of Mary Murphy’s new lips. WTF?!

Day 2 started with 97 nervous dancers being greeted by Jean-Marc Generaux and his flame headed partner (looooves them). Watching people try and do the waltz, people like popper Phillip Chbeeb… it’s hilarious. Probably not so for his partner Arielle but what can ya do?

How much do you love Hiro Nabuya? He actually was really entertaining and surprisingly delicate during the waltz. That says a lot for a popper with a ton of personality and heart (damn kid had me tearing up at his emotional confessional)!

Going into the second half of the day, 16 more dancers were cut and the remaining kids face off with Sonya Tayeh’s choreography! There’s injury after injury, bloody lips, kicked faces and plenty of sweat. Natalie and Brandon Bryant were used as the example for the rest of the contestants and they were cramazing!!! Sadly when Nat got to the actual judging moment she lost a little something and holy shit they fucking CUT her! OMG that was a hot mess and it scared the shit out of the other contestants. She was after all the standard. I need a minute. Damn…

More of Vegas Week Part 1 after the jump… (more…)
