I’m going to sound like such a girl here, but Fi. She’s completely kickass, and I wish I had her wardrobe. Seriously.
And I don’t know what your favorite movies were, but I’d have to say Scent of a Woman and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken.

I think Michael’s mom is hilarious. She’s a nice caricature of the divoirced/widowed Miami retiree.
Gabrielle Anwar was Al Pacino’s dancing partner in Scent of a Woman. Not sure what the other movie is though; Heavy Metal 3 maybe?

My favorite character is Sam Axe played by Bruce Campbell. Sam is who he is and enjoys a drink every now and then. On top of all that, he is trustworthy. Someone I would like to have in my life to “assist” me in my endeavers.
I believe the two movies you refer to with Gabrielle Anwar are 1) Scent Of A woman and (drum roll)……………………2) If Looks Could Kill. Actually I’ve seen both and she did that to me in both!
June 3rd, 2009 at 1:06 pm
Fiona is my favorite. I love bad-ass female characters.
For the 2 movies I’ll say Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken and The Three Musketeers.
June 3rd, 2009 at 1:22 pm
I’m going to have to go with Michael Westen played by Jeffrey Donovan. Why? He’s witty, stylish and an all around good guy. He’s there for his friends and family even when he has other things that are keeping him busy. Not to mention, he’s incredibly easy on the eyes!
As far as Gabrielle’s two movies, I’m going to say The Three Musketeers and Scent of a Woman.
June 3rd, 2009 at 1:32 pm
I would have to go with Sam. First of all, he is played by BRUCE CAMPBELL. His character is funny, supportive, and a gigalo. What is there not to love.
As for Gabrielle Anwar movies, I would have to say Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken (great movie) and If Looks Can Kill (cheesy, but entertaining).

Michael Westen is my favorite character because he’s smart, tough, wily and creative yet he has a soft spot (remember how he teaches the little boy to fight off bullies in the Pilot or, after nearly losing his life to a bomb, helps a suicidal man with a sick son who was ripped off by medical bunko artists in Do No Harm?). He’s also unbelievably loyal (who else would risk his own to help his buddy escape criminals (remember Season 1’s Loose Ends?) and doesn’t hold too much of a grudge (remember Season 2’s Bad Breaks when he saves the life of his old nemesis, Agent Bly?). His soft spot for helping David fight against Goliath is not to be ignored, either. And, he looks great in a suit! There’s no one out there I’d rather have in my corner than Michael Westen!
As for the two Gabrielle Anwar movies that left “your gay ass in love with the girl,” I’m going to say “North Beach” and “Body Snatchers.”
June 3rd, 2009 at 1:42 pm
I’d have to say my favorite character is Michael Westen. I love the big, calm smile in the life-or-death situations and his complete frustration and exasperation in the relatively benign happenings with his mother–on top of that the snarky voice-overs. Pure viewing pleasure. (Although Seymour really makes me laugh!)
For Gabrielle’s movies, I’m going with “If Looks Could Kill” and “Wild Hearts Can’t be Broken”.
June 3rd, 2009 at 1:47 pm
I have to go with Fi, you have to love a girl who knows how to handle her weaponry!
It’s such a wonderful cast though, so it’s a really touch call.
June 3rd, 2009 at 2:15 pm
I don’t watch the show but really want to watch the first two seasons this summer!
I know my personal favorite of Gabrielle’s movies are Three Musketeers and Scent of a Woman (how I miss Chris O’Donnell!) But I loved her in The Tudors the first season also!
June 3rd, 2009 at 2:31 pm
My favorite character is Sam. A washed up drunk, oh how I admire that man. I’m guessing that you fell in love with Gabrielle Anwar in the same two movies I loved her in: Scent of a Woman and For Love or Money.
June 3rd, 2009 at 2:31 pm
My favorite character would be from Season 2–Victor. A character that we perceived (and were meant to perceive) from the beginning as a threat, crazy, amoral, and unstable, and then through fantastic writing and acting (by both Jeffrey Donovan and Michael Shanks) we turned on a dime to understand the character, root for him (especially when he became the Client) and ultimately mourn for him
Writing and acting like that is what makes “Burn Notice” so great.
And I’ll go with “Scent of a Woman” and “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken”

Sam Axe because he is played by Bruce Campbell and well…. Bruce is a god.
June 3rd, 2009 at 7:36 pm
Michael Westen. He is the glue in that little band of deviants and I love the group so much. (((glomp)))
June 3rd, 2009 at 7:50 pm
I love Sam Axe played by Bruce Campbell for his great humor and helpfulness to others! I would say scent of a woman and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken.

I love all of the characters, but I think Sam is my favorite. I love his sense of humor and his loyalty. He even gave up drinking for a job once - now that’s dedication!

I am dying for the first episode tonight but I’m kinda torn because I want to watch ‘So you think you can dance’, ‘The Listener’ & ‘The NBA Finals’…I’m gonna be click happy tonight. Thank goodness for the DVR and repeats!
June 4th, 2009 at 9:58 pm
Sam!! He is too funny! And he is a really great friend too, like being tortured and refusing to give Michael up (from S1).
June 5th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Although I love Michael, it’s Fi I love more! I like that she is a total bad ass and really doesn’t take any BS from anyone.
June 5th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Fiona and her kind-of Irish accent is my favourite. I love that she is such a kick ass female and doesn’t take any crap from anybody. I love Michael and his sunglasses though. I made my husband buy a pair.
June 7th, 2009 at 2:03 am
Fiona is my favorite. I have loved Gabrielle Anwar since Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken.
June 7th, 2009 at 10:56 am
My favorite character has to be Michael. They are all great, but the man is attractive! As for the 2 movies that made you love Gabrielle Anwar, I’m going to go with the one’s I love: Three Musketeers and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken…Her and the cute little King in Three Musketeers??!! As you would say - j’adorable!
June 8th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Michael.
His calm-in-the-face-of-[fill in pretty much any word] is about as good as it gets. Seems so much like that “guy at the bus stop”… but his perception, charisma, kindness - and his fighting and weapons skills - make him sort of an everyman’s Robin Hood/James Bond. Great character writing.
As for the two movies… there were a few to choose from, but I’d have to say “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken” and “Scent of a Woman”
June 11th, 2009 at 12:20 am
My favorite person the the show is Sam (Bruce Campbell) because he is the most versatile character. From Evil Dead to Burn Notice Mr.Campbell has kept me entertained for many years.
June 11th, 2009 at 8:41 pm
I would have to say Sam Axe because he plays his role so well! He is both cool and calm!
I pick scent of a woman and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken.
June 12th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
I truly love all the characters. They each have their own place in the show. If I have to pick one it would be Fiona. I love everything about her.
Gabrielle’s movies…this is a tough one I’m going to say Wild Hearts Can’t be Broken and (going out on a limb) Body Snatchers. I know how much you love horror movies!
June 24th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
I love Michael so much it hurts sometimes…just kidding. But I do love him. He is so funny while kicking ass at the same time. And when he puts on an accent…swoon.
And for Gabrielle’s two movies I’m going to say Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken and If Looks Could Kill (both somewhat entertaining).
June 25th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
My fave is Fiona. She is so nonchalant about blowing stuff up or knocking people off with her many guns. I love it. And she plays it so cool, like it’s no big deal to shoot someone. Ha!!
Her first two movies.. I think were: Scent of a Woman and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken (the one with the diving horse, right?).
June 30th, 2009 at 12:53 am
So… I actually liked Carla and her stalking of Michael. It’s a shame TPTB killed her off; they could have brought her back after another season or two. For the same reasons, I enjoyed Detective Paxson, too (but then again, I loved Journeyman before NBC unceremoniously canceled it). I hope they get Moon Bloodgood back on next season. Would it be wishful thinking for me to want her to ask Michael for his help on something later on?
June 30th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
My favorite character is Michael. He’s a protector. He’s also intelligent, funny, sarcastic, level-headed, and dependable. He’ll find a way out of tight situations without breaking a sweat. And, he can fight and take hits while looking good in a suit.
