The JEWS FOR CHEESES shirt alone is worth it!
Favorite show of all time, that’s a tough one. I’m going to go with Buffy though. It had the right mix of drama, suspense, scares and comedy.

I love tv, so this is very difficult. I’ll have to say Wonderfalls. It had the perfect combination of magical realism, quirk, comedy, and drama carried out by an amazing creative team and cast. I identified with Jaye and Tyron Leitso and Lee Pace were easy on the eyes.

Leverage – because it’s fusion of Robin Hood and A Team. There is fun, drama, action. Awesome actors/characters with freaked out history. We have thief like 5 pounds craziness in 20 pound bag, hacker who once is black jew, and next time he play WoW, hitter – this men hit people, and recover items – like very fast. And some other thief – art stealer. And “men with the plan” – Timoty Hutton. This is the best premiere of last season.

My favorite TV show of time is Friends. It had it’s ups and downs, but I relate to it in a special way. I moved away from my family when I was 18 and the friends I made at the time were my family, just like they were for each other on the show. I also sadly used to reference the show in everyday conversation because, even though it was sitcomed up, it was about life.
I started watching the show in the first season and after that it was hard to get me away from my tv on 8pm Thursdays. Thanksgivings are weird to me know because I used to look forward to seeing the show when I didn’t have a dinner to crash. Now I watch my Thanksgiving dvd (I put all of the Thanksgiving episodes onto one dvd).
(P.S. I am loving Royal Pains and would love getting that swag bag. I tried to win it a few other places, but to now avail)

I would say “The Office,” but I’ve realized over time that it’s not a show that I like for re-runs. However, I’ve been getting into “NCIS” lately with re-runs on USA and it’s actually a good show for re-runs. While the show is technically a crime-drama like L&O: SUV and CSI, there’s more humor and the characters are flesh out more than those other shows. The show’s cast is similar to that of “The Office.” They all seem to be nice people who stay out of trouble compared to other shows.

OF ALL TIME? ARGH.
Okay … I am going to go with … um … I only get one?
Firefly. I can watch it again and again. I love the cast. The awesomeness is in the subtleties. Plus, fellow fans are awesome and love it just as much as you do.
(No, Arrested Development. No, Buffy. No, ALIAS.)
I can really only have one?
June 24th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
I grew up watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was something with a kick ass female lead and different from all the other shows on at that time. Even today if I’m having a bad day I just have to pop in a DVD and my troubles melt away.

“The Wire” changed everything about how I watched television—and film. Everything seems really half-assed in comparison.
The storytelling is so expertly plotted that every subtle detail and every little character nuance carries huge weight. And they put it in this world that’s so relevant to contemporary society, so that they can critique really difficult issues that matter to modern America: the failure of the War on Drugs, fall of the industrial working class, gentrification, race and poverty, political corruption, public education, and, lastly, how the media sucks at effectively covering any of this mess. But in its bleakness, the show offers so many courageous characters fighting the good fight.
I could go on forever (and I do, at http://postwire.wordpress.com/), but that pretty much sums it up.
Also, Scot Oxholm was the one who turned me onto the show, by telling me from the backseat of a car that “Dude, it’s hands down the best television show in the history of everything!” And I pretty much agree.

Although I have many, many shows to choose from, including Lost, Pushing Daisies,Chuck and NCIS, I have to say my fvaorite of all time is The West Wing. I loved the relationships that the characters had along with witty yet serious writing.I can’t stop watching reruns on Bravo in the mornings!
June 24th, 2009 at 1:09 pm
Hands down, Buffy is my favorite show of all time. It’s ruined me for a lot of TV, actually: I have trouble enjoying one-note shows that don’t masterfully layer humor and drama, that lack snappy dialogue, that can be seen through multiple lenses, that have characters who feel real and connect with viewers on an emotional level while still providing stories and structures that can offer hours of fun to those of us who are more geekily inclined.
I watch quite a lot of TV, but no single show satisfies my full media appetite the way Buffy did.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
I’m going with Freaks and Geeks for my favorite show of all time. I can’t believe a show that well done cancelled so quickly, but obviously it happens (Pushing Daisies). The show was hilarious, and Bill Haverchuck has to be one of the best characters ever written.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
my favorite tv show is the simpsons. growing up, i felt like maggie to my sister’s lisa & bro bart. and i actually had an aunt named selma. lol.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:12 pm
Favorite TV Show of ALL TIME? That’s tough so many, so I guess I’ll just pick one of my top ones: Futurama–I could watch that over and over again–so glad to see it’s coming back.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Supernatural is my favorite show.
I love it because it’s one of the best shows out there. It hasn’t really been recognized for it but it is.
It has action, drama, and suspense but there’s soo much more than that.
There’s a story underneath all that, a story about family and what’d they’d do for one another. The ways they’d sacrifice themselves for one another and the love that they have.
Two brothers fighting for the greater good. It’s really amazing if you think about it because they’re not superheroes. They’re just two men that have been put on a road that will lead them towards their destiny.
Good and Evil and everything in between. That’s why i love it. Every episode is a surprise and that’s what’s kept me watching for 4 years and i’ll keep on watching it.
If you haven’t see it yet, do. It’s worth it.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Pushing Dasies for the wife. She has been a mess since it was canceled. This just might make her feel better.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
My favorite show of all time is The West Wing. Aaron Sorkin is god. Even though seasons 5&6 were questionable, season 4 makes up for every bad episode. “20 Hours In America” is probably the best two hours of network television. Ever. I dare people not to cry during the President’s speech in Part II – “the streets of heaven are too crowded with angels…” it’s a poetic masterpiece. The acting, the sets, the locations, the drama, the comedy – perfection.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:35 pm
I have to go with Rescue Me. It’s better written comedy than other comedies and a better drama than other dramas. Manages to keep a nice balance of both. Killer acting (can someone please give Denis Leary an acting emmy already?). All in all a solid show from writing to acting and everything in between
June 24th, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Supernatural – I mean, come on! Scary monsters, human tragedy, comic relief, family issues, rocking music, bad ass car, guns, knives, blowing stuff up, demons, angels, hot guys WITH TALENT NO LESS….. how can you NOT watch this show every week. It’s my ONLY “appointment TV”!
June 24th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
My favorite show of all time is lost. Never has a show made me think and care about characters so much. It never ceases to amaze me with the twist and turns. The plot is so intricate and smart it’s like the harry potter of television.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:39 pm
My favorite TV show of all time is LOST. I know this isn’t the most original or quirky TV show to pick, but it really is the best TV show on the air right now. I studied character writing in college and I swear I could teach a pretty kick-ass class just based on the amazing character development that the writers did with each character on the show over the past several years. Each week, we get a glimpse of either their past OR future and really get to know the people on the Island and how they got there. That along is the best reason to watch…but there are many more reasons to watch LOST as well. Can we talk about the 1)Smoke Monster 2)Polar Bears 3)BEN! He is my all-time favorite “bad-guy” because one minute you hate him and the next you start to feel sorry for him and love him…but then he does something so evil that you remember how much you really hated him. GENIUS WRITING! Whew, ok, I could probably write an entire novel about why I love this show, the characters, the love triangles, the Island, etc but I won’t here. Thank Ducky for giving us TV people an outlet for expressing our love for TV and for informing us of what’s to come! Take Care, Erika
June 24th, 2009 at 1:39 pm
It has to be Arrested Development. Although way too short lived, it was the most creative show I have ever seen. The actors are all phenomenal. I watch it over and over from start to finish and catch something new each time. I can’t wait for the movie.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
It’s really hard to pick just ONE. Either MSCL because it still makes me cry every fraking time all these years later or Supernatural because I have seen every episode at least 10 times and I can still watch it over again! So probably Supernatural because the true test of greatness is how many times can I watch?
June 24th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Never has a show grabbed more attention and made me care about the characters from one week to the next. It had my attention for all seven seasons from first frame to last.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
favorite TV show of all time? Chuck, hands down. It’s the only Save Our Show campaign I’ve ever participated in.
It’s got great writing, it’s funny. Everyone in the fam can watch it. And I’m partial to cute geeky guys.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Just one show–crap! I’ll go with Veronica Mars, just because the show combines so many different things into one place. It’s action, drama, comedy and a teen show all in one (relatively neat place.)
Shipping costs are no problem either.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:44 pm
Favorite TV show of all time has to be Gilmore Girls. It was quirky and fun but had a big heart. It always had the best inside pop culture references that make repeat viewings almost required. Best of all – it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:45 pm
Battlestar Galactica: violence, religion, dirty politics, killer machines, and hot guys in standard-issue body armor – It’s all a girl can ask for.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:45 pm
My favorite tv show of all time is Gilmore Girls. I actually didn’t start watching this show right from the beginning, because I had seen the previews and thought it looked stupid. But a couple people kept telling me “you have to watch it!” so I did. I began watching it with my mother, with whom I am very close, and we kept up a tradition of watching every episode every Tuesday together for 7 years. I have great memories from those years!
June 24th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Smallville is my favorite show of all time. Not only is it in and of itself a great show that has built on the Superman mythos, but it has also gave me the universe of Superman. Through Smallville I tapped into that history and knowing the universe makes watching Smallville even more deeply satisfying. It has heart, action and an immensely enjoyable cast.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Favorite show of all time is, of course, The X-Files. (Not that I don’t still mourn my Pushing Daisies and my beloved Olive Snook and not that I don’t still have an internal, “The facts are these…” monologue perpetually going in my brain.) But the X-Files taught me how to be a real geek. It made me aware of conspiracies and frightened of 12/21/12. (Three years says N. Korea? Shit.) It made me appreciate the importance of a well placed hand on the small of my back. It made me understand what a single raised eyebrow could add to a conversation. If not for The X-Files, how would I know what exanguination is? Or liver eating mutants? Or the dangers of Morley cigarettes and their lung invading tabacco beetles? Or what really poor lighting can leave to the imagination? The smoldering intellect of Mulder and Scully hooked me in the first time I saw them, much like a flukeworm attaches itself to its host. It hasn’t let me go since. X
June 24th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
Favorite TV show of all time is M*A*S*H. I fell in love with Alan Alda at age 6, and I would still do him. He may be old but he’s not frail.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
Six Feet Under. Because it was friggin PERFECT.
June 24th, 2009 at 2:15 pm
Although I may be a little late…based on the amount of viewings, I will have to go with Alias. As I thought this through, this was the best gauge I had as far as favorite show! I have watched Alias all the way through (well, through season 4 on last viewing) many many times. Such a great show full of diverse characters!
June 24th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Oh! And I will totally paypal you for shipping on all that awesome swag!
June 24th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
Favorite show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Action, comedy, horror, romance, the show had it all. I’d gladly pay the shipping costs on that awesome prize
June 24th, 2009 at 2:34 pm
It’s too late, isn’t it? Anyway, my favorite is ‘Angel’ even though I often put it tied with ‘Buffy’ just to save space on lists. When ‘Buffy’ failed, in my opinion, in its last two seasons, I never felt ‘Angel’ went off track.
June 24th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
Veronica Mars is my favorite show of all time because it made me realize my high school experience could have been a lot worse and a whole hell of a lot cooler. Also the witty remarks….wit is key to any and all great shows (i.e. Buffy, Pushing Daisies, etc.)
June 24th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Oh yeah, I’m also willing to pay for shipping.
June 24th, 2009 at 3:10 pm
Gotten to 25? cant tell….
ALIAS!!! This was my show in some huge years in my life. I wanted to be Sydney Bristow and Mary Vaughn. Great writing, great action, great everything. JJ Abrams rules!!!
I miss that show.
June 24th, 2009 at 3:11 pm
that would be marry Vaughn LOL!
June 24th, 2009 at 4:40 pm
My fave TV show of all time is The Brady Bunch because all the Brady men were hot! haha Actually I never had a crush on Peter.
It’s my fave because I loved their house and they just seemed like a perfect blended family!
I gots to have that Jews For Cheeses shirt, at least! Please!
June 24th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
“The Courtship of Eddie’s Father” Please don’t let me win. I want this stuff out of the apartment.
June 24th, 2009 at 6:16 pm
The West Wing all the way!
June 24th, 2009 at 7:27 pm
Probably too late not 1st 25 but my fav show is The 70’s show.
June 24th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
I’d be glad to pay for postage. My favorite show of all time was “Bonanza”. Little Joe was sooo cute.
June 25th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
I know I am late but you can never give your favorite show too much love. Mine’s Firefly! By far the best thing that every happened to the small screen or any screen for that matter.
The Captain & crew where just regular folks living their lives as best as they could in trying times. They needed each other, loved each other and were stronger as a whole than individually. They found in each other a home and future.
July 14th, 2009 at 12:20 am
I know this is too late but I just saw this post and I’m trying to find a “Jews for Cheeses” shirt like the one from Pushing Daisies to buy! If anyone knows where to find one like the one Chuck wore in Pushing Daisies, please let me know!!! It is my favorite show of all time! I really really want that shirt!
