It’s hard to believe but tonight, V airs it’s last episode until 2010. That’s right, after only 4 episodes, the show is disappearing until March… Odd.
“It’s Only the Beginning” takes us a little further into the world of the V’s, their medical advances, their possible agenda(s) and the resistance willing to risk everything to expose them.
I was lucky enough to get a screener of tonight’s fall finale and I couldn’t have been more excited to pop that DVD into my laptop.
I asked myself “Am I so addicted that I needed a quick fix”? Not so much… When I thought about it, I hoped V had finally fixed all the problems that have been bothering me.
As you know, leading up to the Fall season I was a big supporter of the show. I loved the original 80s miniseries and had high hopes for this reboot. It has a killer cast, a great concept and enough sci-fi buzz surrounding it that it seemed like a slam dunk. The show premiered to huge ratings but the first few episodes have far from wowed me. That’s why I rushed to see the big “cliff hanger” episode before everyone else got their grubby hands on it.
In my humble opinion, this episode is Only the Beginning… of the end for Ducky and V. (more…)
Finally, NBC has released a date for the premiere of CHUCK Season 3!
That’s right kids, CHUCK returns with a two night 3 hour extravaganza. On Sunday, January 10th Bartowski and the Buy More kids will begin their Season 3 journey with a two hour premiere then settle into its regular slot the next night (Monday, January 11th).
Check out some special words from star Zachary Levi and a sneak peek at Season 3!
In a press release from this afternoon (some character descriptions may be mildly spoilerish):
NBC’s action-comedy series “Chuck” returns to the NBC lineup on Sunday, January 10 with all-new missions and two action-packed, back-to-back original episodes in its season premiere (9-11 p.m. ET) before the series — starring Zachary Levi in the title role — moves to its regular day and time (Mondays 8-9 p.m. ET) beginning January 11.
In addition, “Chuck” returns with guest stars galore in its third season. These include: Angie Harmon (NBC’s “Law & Order”), who will play Sydney, an enemy operative; Brandon Routh (“Superman Returns”), who is set to play CIA Agent Daniel Shaw; Robert Patrick (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day”) will play Colonel Keller, a soldier and spy from Casey’s past; Kristin Kreuk (“Smallville”), who will portray Hannah — a potential love interest for Chuck; Armand Assante (“Judge Dredd”) as dictator Premier Goya, who is the target of an assassin; Steve Austin (“WWE Smackdown!”) will portray Hugo Panzer, who becomes entangled in Chuck’s first solo mission; and Vinnie Jones (“Snatch”) will play Carl Stromberg, an arms dealer.
Cramazing guest stars, right?! Vinnie Jones? Love that dude.
It’s been 7 weeks since our last podcast and 7 weeks since we last saw each other. You totally thought GMMR and Ducky had called it quits didn’t you? How dare you…
An extended gig in the Hamptons originally sidelined the podcast, then a horrible back injury kept this terrible TV twosome apart until now!
For our first big podcast of the Fall, we thought we’d make up for lost time with a huge 2 hour 10 minute carcast full of laughs, tears, a near death experience and even some New England leaf peeping!
Shows covered in this podcast:
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, BIG BANG THEORY, GOSSIP GIRL, HOUSE, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, THE BIGGEST LOSER, THE GOOD WIFE, V, GLEE, MODERN FAMILY, COUGAR TOWN, TOP CHEF, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, FLASH FORWARD, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, BONES, SUPERNATURAL, FRINGE, THE OFFICE, PARKS & RECREATION, 30 ROCK, COMMUNITY, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, UGLY BETTY, DOLLHOUSE, SOUTHLAND, WHITE COLLAR, THE AMAZING RACE, SURVIVOR, DEXTER, MAD MEN and GREEK.

Tonight is a very special SUPERNATURAL. No, it’s not a Christmas special or even the end of the world (been there, done that). Tonight it’s time for the Winchesters to star in their own TV show… or five!
In “Changing Channels”, Sam and Dean are paid a visit from an old “friend” that likes to play tricks. That’s right, the nasty troublemaker from “Mystery Spot” starts messing with the Winchesters but this time something meta this way comes.
Here’s a preview clip from “Changing Channels”:
Now tell me you didn’t scream “THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!” about five times after both Dean and Sam said their “mouth” lines?
I promise you’ll laugh more than you’ve ever laughed at a Supernatural episode before. I promise you some incredible one liners. I promise you some genius television spoofs and I promise you things are not as they seem.
Oh and I promise you some mild spoilers after the jump… (more…)
Just a quick reminder that another semester at CRU wraps tonight as the GREEK kids end the first half of Season 3 with “Friend or Foe”!
It’s been a great season so far and while there have been a lot of changes, some things remain the same. That’s the great thing and the semi-annoying thing about GREEK. It’s been fun watching Dale lose his innocence and become somewhat of a perv this season but more times than not, it seemed extreme even for someone that had forsaken the notorious G-O-D. Rusty and Dale started off as the new ODD COUPLE but over the last 3 years have really grown into best friends that rely on each other whether they want to accept it or not. That’s why its been so frustrating to watch them devolve into frenemies.
Same goes for Cappy and Evan. They’ve spent the last 3 years trying to forget they were ever BFF’s and the minute they accept each other and find friendship again, the same person that split them apart comes back to do the job again… or is she the one to truly bring them back together again?
Don’t even get me started on Calvin and Grant…
Regardless of my little gripes, this truly has been a fun season of GREEK and I’m sad that it won’t be weekly viewing for a while.
Tonight, expect the unexpected (but no Chenbot)… There’s finally a shout out to someone’s previous Disney musical past. There’s a crazy fun dance number that I couldn’t believe Spencer Grammar could pull off. There’s tension, sex, people being expelled and an 80s song by the Talking Heads rocks Frat Row!
Check out a special sneak peek at GREEK’s Mid-Season Finale (which happens to have one my favorite part of the night):
GREEK wraps their Fall semester tonight on ABC Family. Do not miss out!
