After Elton has a hysterical look at the revelations that ex-Grey’s Anatomy but current crazy ass Isaiah Washington will discuss on tonight’s LARRY KING LIVE (tonight 9pm CNN).

Will we learn more about T.R.’s gay agenda? Will we learn the real reasons why Isaiah was fired in the first place? Does he have anger management issues? Does race really play a factor in your firing when you’re not the only person of color on the show or creating the show for that matter?

All this and more when Larry King interviews Isaiah Washington.

Cant Stop The Serenity
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSS WHEDON!

Saturday, June 23rd is Buffy/Angel/Firefly creator Joss Whedon’s birthday. Just as he did last year, he’s using the birth of Christ his birthday for good not evil.

It’s the second annual SERENITY screening benefiting Equality Now. In honor of his birthday, theatres around the country are screening the film about Capt. Mal and Co. with proceeds going to Equality Now (Whedon’s charity of choice) – for more information on attending a “Serenity/Equality Now Happy Birthday Jesus Joss” event head on over to CAN’T STOP THE SERENITY.

From the Browncoats themselves:

You need to be there because you’ll have an excellent opportunity to walk away with great Verse merchandise, like the Serenity: Special Edition DVD* from Universal Home Entertainment, an autographed copy of Finding Serenity from BenBella Books, an autographed CD from the Bedlam Bards, and so much more. (Check with your local organizer for the rundown of giveaways in your area.)

You need to be there because the proceeds go to a great cause. Equality Now is doing amazing work around the globe, bringing the vision of gender equality closer to reality every day through campaigns against issues such as rape, female genital mutilation, spousal abuse.

You need to be there because this will be the event Browncoats worldwide will be talking about this event for a long time to come, and regret doesn’t sit well with your complexion.

Last year I won a Firefly bracelet and it’s pretty rad. See, you actually do win stuff. And Joss is behind this and it’s for a great cause so please go see Serenity!

In Week 2 of So You Think You Can Dance Season 3 we saw these humdinger of a shirt design.  The simple and classic SYTYCD T-Shirt.

True Colors Tour

What did you do this weekend? Well, thanks for asking. I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon and evening on Saturday night with Margaret Cho, The Gossip, Dresden Dolls, Rufus Wainwright, Debbie Harry, Erasure and the goddess herself Cyndi Lauper. Yeah, Cyndi and I are *like this*!

The True Colors Tour hit Boston and before you can say, that’s friggin’ gay… yes it is my friend. The True Colors Tour was created and cultivated by Cyndi Lauper to be a fun day of music and activism sponsored by the gay themed television channel LOGO and the Human Right Campaign.

I was super excited to be a guest of LOGO (a huge thanks to the the PTB GTB [Gays That Be] from LOGO for hooking a blogger up) and to have the chance to meet Cyndi Lauper in person. No checkerboard orange shaved hair, no plaid skirt, and no cheek pierced Capt. Lou anywhere in sight, but damnit if she isn’t still the most rockin’ alterna-chick out there!

New queer youth icon Beth Ditto and her band The Gossip were up first and they kicked so much ass it wasn’t even funny. I love Beth Ditto, watching her is like witnessing a mashup between Divine in Female Trouble perform Sleater Kinney. She can work a stage and a bedazzled dress 18 sizes too small for her extra large frame like noone’s business.

Dresden DollsLocal (and personal Ducky) faves The Dresden Dolls were up next and got a standing ovation after their set. Pretty amazing for a sold out show full of people who for the most part are pushing 40 or 50 and there to see aging queen Debbie Harry, 80s popsters Erasure and Cyndi. Granted, its their hometown and they’re on this big ass tour, but still it was pretty amazing to witness! The last couple times I saw them, they playing The Paradise which is no where near the size nor scale of the Bank of America Pavilion. Amanda as always was incredible and a treat for all the gay boys out there, Brian played the whole show in red underwear and that was all folks!
