On Demand will begin broadcasting the premiere of four NBC shows on September 10th. CHUCK, BIONIC WOMAN, LIFE, and JOURNEYMAN will all be available on Comcast, Time Warner, Cox and Charter.

NBC’s 30-minute Fall TV Preview Special will also be made available as well as special promos for HEROES and deleted scenes from THE OFFICE and 30 ROCK.

I love the technology era we’re in!

Check out my first thoughts on Chuck and Bionic Woman.

We end our COMIC-CON adventure with the PUSHING DAISIES panel discussion with Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Kristin Chenoweth, Bryan Fuller, Barry Sonnenfeld, and Bruce Cohen. Here is a great article from Boston.com and Associated Press about the British Invasion on the American Fall TV Schedule. All of my favorite new shows are listed including CHUCK, PUSHING DAISIES, MOONLIGHT, BIONIC WOMAN, and NEW AMSTERDAM. It’s a fun quick read and pretty interesting when you think about it.

A bevy of British actors, most sporting American accents, are being yanked across the pond and into US prime time this fall.

“Everybody’s going!” exclaims Sophia Myles as she waited, bags packed, for her work visa to arrive. The British beauty’s movie credits include Isolde in the historical romance “Tristan & Isolde” and the upcoming sci-fi action film “Outlander.” But now she’s reporter Beth Turner in “Moonlight,” the vampire-themed crime series, premiering on CBS Sept. 28.

Kevin McKidd wasn’t “going to do it” when first offered the role of time-traveling American journalist Dan Vassar in “Journeyman,” debuting on NBC Sept. 24. But Liam Neeson, with whom he worked on the movie “Kingdom of Heaven,” took him aside and suggested he “rethink.” He did, and now the Scottish actor, familiar to HBO viewers as Lucius Vorenus in the historical drama “Rome,” has moved his family to Los Angeles. “Luckily, I have a brave wife who knows the game. It’s a gamble, but then this life always is,” he says.

God I frakkin’ love Katee Sackhoff!

What do the three panels listed above in the subject header have in common? They’re the three panels I got shut out of last Saturday while at Comic-Con. Some of you already know the story but many of you probably do not, so here goes.

Pushing Daisies was having their early bird special screening at 9:15am and you know I love me some Pushing Daisies so I couldn’t miss that. I knew going into it that I would probably have to sacrifice Bionic Woman but it was something I could live with. Daisies was over by 10:30 so that gave me 2 hours to get in line and get into Ballroom 20 for Heroes. Ballroom 20 being our home for the next 7 hours.

We left Pushing Daisies in a haze (the joys of Bryan Fuller and Lee Pace can do that to a guy) and stumbled over to Ballroom 20 to get in line. I kid you not when I tell you that B20 was already packed to capacity and the line to get in wrapped a good 4000+.

Shocked, Rae, Kath, Thomas and I filed into line and sulked. The line was so long and we just knew that everyone in the hall already was either there for Heroes or Joss Whedon so the likelihood of a mass exodus was slim. After about 20 minutes, the line didn’t move and we had to make a drastic decision. Stay in line at numbers 4000, 4001, 4002, and 4003 where we may or may not get in sometime before the place closes or head downstairs to see the Pushing Daisies folks in line and chat with our Warner Bros. folks and then see the other panels of interest that we would have missed by setting up shop in B20 all day.

Comic-ConI leave in a mere 5 hours for sunny San Diego where I’ll probably see no sun or feel no summer loving as I’ll be spending all of my time inside the San Diego Convention Center with 200,000 of my closest geek friends.

COMIC-CON 2007 begins tomorrow and I’m there all weekend with GMMR and some other TV Bloggers for the biggest group of television panels a fan could dream of.

Want LOST scoop? Heroes Spoilers? Supernatural Hotties? Battlestar’s Final Season Spoiler? The dish on new shows like Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Bionic Woman, Reaper, Moonlight, Journeyman, and many more? Want a podcast chock full of these goodies? Well, keep checking back all weekend as I’ll try and post some updates each night.

Want to follow me all day, Thursday through Sunday while I try and get Lee Pace naked? Follow me on TWITTER! There’s also a Twitter panel on the right hand sidebar. Check back for updates throughout the day, all day, all weekend!

While I’m gone, please head on over to my new site… DUCKY DOES TV! I’m in the midst of moving all posts there so that will be Ducky’s new home very very very soon! Let me know what you think. I love the new layout and I’m still working on all the content so bear with me.

May the force be with you or something dorky like that!

**Oh and anyone wondering what TV shows won out for the trip. I’m finishing Season 1 of Kyle XY and I downloaded the first 7 episodes of Psych.

From Michael Ausiello’s BIONIC WOMAN TCA Panel live blog:

11:33 am: Regarding Isaiah Washington’s hiring, Smilovic says they “found the best actor for the role,” adding, “We believe in second chances.”

11:45 am: A reporter asks Smilovic whether Washington’s’s hiring shows any disrespect to the gay community. “Absolutely not,” he counters. “We embrace the gay community and we’re in no way making any judgments or statements about what was said or done [on Grey's].”

11:46 am: Another reporter suggests one way to make Washington atone for his sins would be to make him kiss another dude on the show. Smilovic balks at the idea, claiming it would break down the fourth wall. Translation: Ask him again when the overnight ratings come in for the premiere.

God I hope that Michael was the one who asked that question. This is something I was hoping would be addressed and I’m glad someone had the balls to ask if this was a slap in the face to the gay viewers. I’m still very torn on how I feel about this.

Thanks to Alexis for the tip.

According to TVGuide, NBC’s BIONIC WOMAN has finally recast the deaf (still?) sister of Jaime Sommers.

Robin Sparkles dirty little sister from Canada on How I Met Your Mother is the new sibling on the NBC sure to be mega-hit. LUCY HALE will take over the role from Arrested Developments Ann, Egg, Mae Whitman.

This casting news doesn’t make me shiver like yesterday’s casting of Isaiah Washington.

**UPDATE – According to Ausiello’s TCA Blog, the sister will no longer be deaf and she’s suddenly a big computer nerd as well.

Isaiah WashingtonWow, this actually made me throw up in my mouth a bit when I read it. Isaiah Washington is joining BIONIC WOMAN on NBC this fall for at least 5 episodes.

    According to USAToday:

On Bionic, he’ll play an outsider with a mysterious agenda who is introduced early in the series and may either help the superpowered Jamie (Michelle Ryan, in the role first played by Lindsay Wagner) or take her down.

Washington has signed on for at least five episodes of the new drama, considered NBC’s strongest shot this fall, in a crop developed by former entertainment president Kevin Reilly, who has since moved to the same post at Fox.

    Bionic Woman NBC

This actually makes me sad and sick. I had such huge high hopes for BIONIC WOMAN. The pilot is great and I love the reimagining of the show ala Battlestar. My gut tells me to boycott the show now. Am I over reacting? I need a few moments to breathe.

How do I address this at Comic-Con without ruining any chance of receiving any NBC or Bionic Woman information in the future? Ideas?

We’re back… Podcast #11: Big Brother 8, Burn Notice, Psych, So You Think You Can Dance, Transformers, Rescue Me, Kathy Griffin, Porn, Prison, Ugly Betty, Comic-Con and more.

    Duckyxdale GiveMeMyRemote Podcast

TV Podcast 11: Ducky and GMMR take a dip in the technical difficulties pool and come out swinging.

BIG BROTHER 8 has arrived and we’re obsessed. We talk spoilers, live feeds, and our favorites. What do we think about BURN NOTICE? PSYCH’s back on USA. KATHY GRIFFIN does gay porn and RESCUE ME forgets to rescue one of their own.

Do we need two karaoke shows? We dissect SPELLING BEE and DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE continues to dominate the summer and we talk about our new favorites.

A little TRANSFORMERS talk? Sure, just a bit. COMIC-CON? Yes, we’re now Comic-Con geeks and we preview our trip at the end of July. PUSHING DAISIES, MOONLIGHT, BIONIC WOMAN and other Fall Shows.

Comic-ConAs you’ve maybe heard me mention in one or two posts, I’m taking my first trip to San Diego’s COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL in two weeks.

Comic-Con has moved beyond the manga lovin’, furry wearing, swoard bearing, trekkies you’re thinking about right now. It’s more than a comic book convention. It’s a sci-fi convention as well. That doesn’t make it sound any less geek central does it? It’s turning into a Sci-Fi/Horror/Fantasy Film and TV Convention as well. Sound better? I thought so.

As you know, I’m one of the people that runs The Independent Film Festival of Boston (shout out Nancy, Brian, and Christine who regularly read the blog and are my cohorts) and obviously you know I’m a big TV geek. The chance to see panel discussions, meet creators of film and tv shows I love, see sneak previews of films and tv shows I love is just too big. I must go!

GMMR and I are shacking up in San Diego for the week and we’ll be meeting up with Rae, The TV Addict, Seat42f and many other tv bloggers (as well as 250,000 of our closest and scariest friends) to cover all things fall tv! We’re also hoping to do a huge TV Bloggers Podcast or two!

What shows are gonna be there? The list is big and here are the ones I plan on attending in some capacity.

TORCHWOOD (BBC America’s spin-off of Doctor Who)
    LOST
    REAPER
    MOONLIGHT
    24
    CHUCK
    PUSHING DAISIES
    BIONIC WOMAN
TVGuide’s Hot List and Super Women
    HEROES
    KYLE XY
    BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
    SUPERNATURAL
    SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES
    SARAH SILVERMAN PROJECT
    BUFFY’s 10th Anniversary
    TIN MAN
    The 4400
    JERICHO

Granted some of these panels overlap so there will be a few that get missed but TV wise, this is my dream list. There are also a number of film events that I want to attend.

Paramount Studios Presentation, Lionsgate Presentation, FANBOYS (with Kristin Bell), Warner Bros Films, 20th Century Fox, Shoot Em Up, Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN!!!!!, Rogue/Focus films, The Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton and many more.

    Kinda crazy, huh?

Are any of you guys going? What do you want me to find out or meet or see while I’m there? Let me know.

Here we go gang, the shows are gearing up to begin filming and the networks are beginning to tinker with their new fall pilots. So far this week we’ve learned of three recasts and while some of it is old news, I thought I’d bring you the latest.

    PRIVATE PRACTICE:
Remember how excited everyone was to see the new Grey’s Anatomy spin-off? Remember how excited everyone was to see an Alias alum finding yet another show? Remember watching the quasi-pilot and finding zero chemistry between said Alias alum and the shows uber star Kate Walsh? Yeah, no need to worry any more because ABC has recast the role of Naomi Bennett. While I love me some Evil Francie, Merrin Dungey just didn’t seem to work in that Grey’s episode. She was angry and stilted and a little too cute to be backup for Addison. For all the scoop and to see who’s replacing Francie, head on over to GiveMeMyRemote.com

    MOONLIGHT:
This is great news for all the fans of Veronica Mars and the shirtless Jason Dohring! The old geezer role of Josef, who was originally played by a man in his 60s I believe. To go for the girls and gays, they obviously went for JDoh. Dohring will play Josef, an ancient vampire who is confidante to Mick (the main character). Unlike Mick, the eternally young, wealthy and mischievous Josef relishes his immortality. So basically its Logan Echolls with fangs!

    BIONIC WOMAN:
NBC’s super strong fall pilot BIONIC WOMAN is in the midst of a mini-retooling. Jamie Sommers has a deaf sister Becca played by Arrested Development’s Anne, who? Anne, who? Oh her… Anyhoo, they’ve decided to go in a different direction with the sister and current actress Mae Whitman is out. No word on who’s next or if the sister will even be deaf any longer. Stay tuned.
