As a TV Blogger, its hard to find the time to watch all the shows you love (and sometimes hate) and to then find the time to write something entertaining for folks to read. You want the right blend of recap information along with personal comments, some snark, and hopefully plenty of humor. It’s a daunting task at times, espcially if you’re busy one night, or two nights, and then at your day job… its a spiraling down effect that all the sudden leaves you going, “Huh, it’s too late to talk about LOST now…”

So I’m going to quickly cover some of the shows I watched this past week in an effort to gear me up for this coming week. After the jump I’ll talk about The Black Donnellys, Top Model, Lost, The Riches, Supernatural, Degrassi, Ace of Cakes, 24, and Grey’s Anatomy.

How incredibly gruesome was last nights Black Donnellys? I’m really pleasantly surprised at how much humor is intertwined with this incredibly dark and desparate story.

Finding a body in the dumpster out back? Hilarious.

Only half a body fits into a steel drum? Hilarious.

Using a sledgehammer to smash every bone in the lower half of a dead body so that the whole body can fit into a steel drum before dumping it in the river? Priceless… until someone throws up!

Tonight, episode two of NBC’s new show The Black Donnellys airs at 10pm (after the last new Heroes for a month or so) and after the show, NBC is giving us a special treat.

I will be posting a link to a special online episode sometime after the show ends tonight. The online episode will only be available for a short time so watch it while you can. It’s not an episode that those not in the know will miss anything major, but it is an episode that gives us some more insight into this crime riddled family and it helps carry the plot of The Black Donnellys along.

The Black Donnellys is a show I’m super excited about.  I love the idea of the young mobster type Irish-American family that’s forced to stick together while still at odds.  It’s an interesting concept of moving the traditional crime family we’re used to and transposing their issues and tactics to fairly young adults.

The Black Donnellys premieres Monday February 26th at 10pm on NBC.  Since Studio 60’s been sucking both creatively and in the ratings, NBC has given this mid season replacement an early start and the prime slot after Heroes.

If you miss the premiere on Monday, USA Networks is reairing the episode on Tuesday, March 6th.  Better yet, you can catch the first two new episodes on Bravo Sunday March 11th.
