This just in, TheHollywoodReporter is reporting that Buffy alum, Austin Powers’ son “SCOTTTT”, and Robot Chicken mastermind SETH GREEN will be doing a 2 episode stint on GREY’S ANATOMY.
Seth Green has been tapped for a two-episode arc on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.” Green, who said that “Grey’s” is one of his favorite shows, will play a patient on the hit medical drama. “If you are going to get sick, Seattle Grace is the place to do it,” he said. “Maybe they’ll call me McSicky?”
The Nov. 15 episode ought to be a treat for Buffy/Angel fans, and not just because it’s vampcentric, either. Mercedes McNab — the scene-stealer who played dumb blonde Harmony on both shows — has just been signed to guest as a toothsome chick who recalls for the Winchester boys the night she picked up more than a hangover while out clubbing.
Rejoice Harmony fans, rejoice! I can only hope that someone has a hissy slap fight with her, preferably in slo-mo. God, that Xander/Harmony fight still makes me as giddy as a school girl.
For a while now, internet sites have been a twitter with news that Buffy/Angel alum Charisma Carpenter would be joining The Apprentice’s Celebrity Edition. Luckily that is not the case. Instead, TV Guide is reporting that Cordelia Chase will be tempting those bad boys of BIG SHOTS!
She has booked a one-shot gig on Fox’s Back to You, and, more importantly, a recurring run on the new ABC drama Big Shots. Details on Carpenter’s Big Shots role are being kept hush-hush, though it is said she has a connection to Christopher Titus’ character. Carpenter first appears in the Nov. 1 episode.
My friend from the North, TheTVAddict is reporting that Degrassi’s resident bad-boy/psycho killer/drag racer/fertility god Sean Cameron aka actor Daniel Clark is heading to Broadway’s SPRING AWAKENING in 2008.
There are no confirmations so at the moment this is speculation though I’ll email TheTVAddict to find his source as he see’s these Degrassi kids all the time. Plus, Degrassi did do that whole Spring Awakening Teen Summit thing last year.
This is old news I know but still people are talking about it so I had to write about it. That and its a Friday so I was thinking of Degrassi.
I kind of hope this is not true. As much as I love me some Degrassi and some Spring Awakening, I don’t necessarily love me some Daniel Clark’s acting.
**Update: I got word from a source at Degrassi that this is not true at all. Sorry kids!
This just in, Michael Ausiellohas the first news that Cynthia Watros will be returning to LOST this coming season in a multiple episode arc.
Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse confirms to me exclusively that the actress will be playing Hurley’s dearly departed sweetheart again this season for multiple episodes, presumably in more flashbacks.
“She’ll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story,” says Cuse. “We could not be more pleased. Cynthia is a smart and engaging actor, and [executive producer] Damon [Lindelof] and I have some very cool parts of her story left to tell.”
It’s by pure chance that Emmy winner Watros was even available for the return engagement: Her fall pilot, The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud, wasn’t picked up, which left a spot open on her dance card.
I’m the guy that almost wet myself when they killed Libby back in Season 2 so this is one of the best casting confirmations I’ve read all summer. Lost mentioned at Comic-Con that they intend to continue Libby’s storyline in the near future but I never get too excited without confirmation. THIS IS SO GREAT!
According to JustJared via USAToday, The OC’s RACHEL BILSON will be guest starring on NBC’s high-sterical CHUCK.
She’s coming on as a possible romantic interest for the lovable Chuck Bartowski and will hit our small screens come late October for a multi-episode arc. How did we not think of this sooner? Josh Schwartz is behind both shows and Bilson was his bitchy muse. I love this!
The waifish dirty bathwater zillionaire Mary-Kate Olsen will make her debut on WEEDS very soon. To tide us all over, SHOWTIME has released a video clip and I have to say, why not!
According to E! and ThePieMaker.com, JAYMA MAYS will guest star in the 4th episode of ABC’s spectacular PUSHING DAISIES.
You’ll probably remember Jayma best as Charlie, the girl Hiro couldn’t save on last seasons’ HEROES. You may also recognize her as Henry’s girlfriend Charlie on Ugly Betty.
Let’s call this when Charlie met Chuck. Jayma Mays will play “Elsita, a woman who leads a life of windmillery (she lives and works in a windmill)” – sounds perfectly odd, and perfectly Pushing Daisies.
Busy Philipps has been cast on How I Met Your Mother as the hottie who may or may not end up in the sack with Ted… and his hit-and-run fling, Trudy (Danica McKellar, the Wonder Years cutie, thankfully all grown up).
As you may recall me telling you in a recent Ask Ausiello, in the Oct. 15 episode, Trudy is ready to go another round with Ted, but a new rival has already staked her claim on him — Trudy’s old college frienemy, to be played by Philipps. So things could get heated in one of two ways: There could be name-calling and hair-pulling or clothes-ripping and sheets-tangling. (Either way, Ted’s one lucky mother.)
Though Philipps is likely to fit right in with the How crowd, don’t expect her to stick around beyond this pre-sweeps installment. Ted’s pal Lily gives the sexpot the big thumbs-down after realizing that she’s the shopper who ruined her shopping trip by walking off with a pair of coveted boots.
I really love me some Busy. She reminds me of my old friend Kelley C. from back in the ‘cuse. Ever since Freaks and Geeks I’ve had a weakness for Busy Philipps. She’s bitchy and unconventionally hot and seems to like the gays. We’d be freinds, I’m sure of it.
I think putting her on a episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER will be hysterical and this October episode cannot come soon enough.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Season 3 begins Monday, September 24th.
“Wait For It” – When Robin shows up with an Argentinean Adonis by her side, Ted decides he is ready to hit the town with Barney and his performance is legen…wait for it…dary! Enrique Iglesias guest stars as Gael, Robin’s new, sexy Argentinean lover.
Robin’s beaded hair is killing me! Go Robin Sparkles!!!
He goes from Spanking Monkey’s to Spanking Losties! JEREMY DAVIES has been cast on Season 4 of LOST.
Hollywood Reporter is saying that the scrawny actor will play on of the people out on that mysterious freighter Naomi mentioned before dying last season.
If you don’t know who Jeremy Davies is, please go watch SPANKING THE MONKEY and then go to the theatre and watch him waste away to a skeleton in RESCUE DAWN.
If Lost continues adding cast members, there’s no hope of Rose and Bernard getting screen time this year. Say it ain’t so…
Dancing With The “Stars” has officially unveiled its lineup for the upcoming season. I refuse to watch DWTS because let’s face it, it’s no So You Think You Can Dance.
It makes me sick that DWTS is a bigger hit than SYTYCD. The talent is really poor in comparison, how are people interested in watching Wayne Newton’s melting face and fat body lumber around a stage when they could be watching shirtless Neil Haskell working his metrosexual magic? Come on folks.
Regardless, I know a lot of you do watch, so I thought I would officially list the Season 5 “stars” competiting.
Scary Spice, Some Cheetah Girl named Sabrina Bryan, Helio Castroneves (race car driver?), Mark Cuban (ugh, Landmark cinemas), Jennie Garth (noooooooooooooo), Josie Maran (Model), Cameron Mathison (shocker, a soap star), Floyd Mayweather Jr. (boxer), Wayne Newton, Marie Osmond (will she be selling those dolls as well?), Albert Reed (Model), Jane Seymour (seducing Barney on How I Met Your Mother did wonders)
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, sorry wake me when it’s over.
Now it’s official: An NBC spokesperson has confirmed for me exclusively (and, by proxy, you guys) that Rosie O’Donnell will not be playing the crankypants soccer coach…
We’re all breathing sighs of relief right? I think that the integrity and the anonymity of the show would have been ruined by having such a familiar face on the show. One of the highlights for me is seeing actors of relative unknown status playing the residents of Dillon. It lends itself nicely to the docudrama style they’ve created. Obviously, I take that statement back when it comes to power couple Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton.
While over at Ausiello, leave your thoughts on who you think would fill that role left vacant by Rosie.
