Premise: The much anticipated spin-off of GREY’S ANATOMY finally begins on Wednesday, September 26th. Addison Forbes Montgomery has left Seattle Grace and moved to the sunnier climate of SoCal.

Addison reunites with her friends from medical school, Naomi and Sam Bennett, joining them at their chic, co-op, Oceanside Wellness Center in Santa Monica. Naomi, a fertility and hormone specialist and majority owner of the clinic, and Sam, an internist whose self-help books have made him the “common man’s medical guru,” are newly divorced. They co-exist for the sake of their teenaged daughter, Maya, and their medical practice, but the relationship is hardly amicable.

It’s only taken me a good three weeks but I finally saw the last two hours of Veronica Mars… ever! While I must say that the first hour “Weevils Wooble But They Don’t Go Down” was a little weak, it did set up the final hour “The Bitch is Back.”

There are many mixed emotions now that the show is long gone. Sadness was there for a few minutes but now I feel like it was the right decision to end the show before it really hit rock bottom. Anger came during the last episode and its still sitting there somewhat as I write this.

Veronica Mars was at its finest during the first season when it was focusing on the Kane family and the evil behind the facade of many people. Aaron Echolls was a scary force for Veronica to deal with for many reasons but just as frightening was the Kane Patriarch, Jake Kane. So how disgusted was I when in the last episode ever they bring back the fear and force that drove the first season. It was a huge reveal for Veronica to come face to face with Jake Kane and a major letdown knowing that it has nowhere to go.

I feel that there were many loose ends left untied and one that bothers me the most is anything having to do with The Fitzpatrick’s and Kendall Casablancas. Here is another disappointment because they brought up both of them in the weeks leading up to the finale and it was pointless because it went nowhere. Am I the only person that expected Kendall to make a resurrection?

Enough with the letdowns though, let’s pay tribute to what really worked in the finale. The title was fitting because The Bitch was Back! Veronica on a vengence is amazing! Logan smoldering over Veronica is amazing! Keith and Veronica sticking up for each other is amazing. Seeing Dept. Leo again is amazing.

That doesn’t mean that the whole episode was amazing though because I found the whole Castle/Skulls thing to be a little dated and a little too important in the grand scheme of things. It was great seeing Wallace (and shirtless no less) have an important role in helping out Veronica again.

I’m very sad that Keith had to resort to destroying evidence to save his meddling daughter with the best intentions Veronica. It put them at odds and each knew the other was disappointed in them and that was hard to watch. I did love watching Veronica vote for her dad and walk away into the not so sunset. It was a somber ending that left everything up in the air while still resolving enough to make me feel content.

I don’t know what else to say other than Veronica Mars gave us three years of girl power, wit, smarm, and intelligence. It gave me a couple new friends in bloggers Rae, Scooter, and obviously Kathie from GiveMeMyRemote. Kristen Bell you’ll be missed in a star making role that hopefully will catapult you to superstar status.

While Veronica Mars may have just ended and we’re sad to see Piz go, we have Private Practice to look forward to in the fall. While we wait, I thought I’d reveal a little more of Chris Lowell than we’ve seen on Veronica or in that hot surfboard seen on Grey’s.

If you’re wondering if that is a real photo of our beloved Piz, well yes my friends it is. Last summer Chris and his friend Jon De Olano went all hippie road tripping with filmmaker Brian McElhaney from Atlanta to Montreal and they documented the whole thing.

AS their website TwoShots.TV will tell you, they created a name TWO SHOTS FOR POE, took some guitars and $200, got a minivan and off they went. They both admit to having no real musical talent but the concept is fun and getting to see more Chris Lowell is never a bad thing!

First and foremost, Veronica reaching over and holding Piznarski’s hand was completely squee worthy! Anyone who’s still sweating that whole LoVe thing and not wanting to give Piz a chance needs to take a lesson from Veronica, give the boy a shot y’all. I know, I know, Veronica and Logan are incredible together, but there is also still unreal magnetic chemistry between them apart.

Piz, Paz, Puss, Spazz, and Poz really just make up a damn good guy and Veronica needs a damn good guy in her life.

Which brings me to squee moment #2. The opening credits are rolling and I see Max Greenfield pop up on my screen! I’m semi-retarded because I sat straight up and looked at my partner Jon (who only casually watches and puts up with VM for my sake) with wide eyes and I yelled out: “DEPUTY LEO!” I heart Deputy Leo and doesn’t he throw a wrench into the whole Piz and Veronica thing? Hopefully, I loved Leo and Veronica together. But was it just me or did Deputy Leo lose a little too much weight? Manorexic Greenfield much? Still hot. HAHA!

Jon seriously thinks he’s dating a 14 year old girl occasionally and speaking of 14 year old girls? Wallace’s comment in the beginning to Veronica’s girl talk about Piz was hysterical. “What am I? A 14 year old girl?” Veronica snaps back with this humdinger: “No but you are drinking Fresca and watching Joan Crawford movies…” Oh Veronica, you minx!

Paul Rudd is great and I was sad that he and Ken Marino didn’t have any scenes together. Being a huge fan of Wet Hot American Summer and knowing that they are friends, I wanted to see them have a scene together. Vinnie could have gone to the concert at Hearst, he likes em young.

Which brings me to just now realizing that there were a ton of VM regulars in one show last night. All we were missing was Weevil and Cliff. Logan, Dick, Wallace, Mac, Piz, Vinnie, and Deputy Leo all made appearances not to mention the return of Bronson, Max, and the return of the Season 3 running joke RATNER! It was a virtual smorgasborg of VMers and I loved it! If this is what we have to look forward to with the weekly mysteries, sign me up!

I really like that Max, in part because as GMMR has called him before, he’s the poor man’s Ducky.  I think he and Mac are quite the geek pair as Logan pointed out as well.

What else?  I don’t know… I have to get to work but I had to post a couple thoughts.  Oh and did you see Ausiello saying that his CW spies are now feeling pretty good about giving Veronica Mars a fourth season?  It seems that they loved Rob Thomas’ FBI pitch and are willing to ditch most of the cast in order to make it happen.  I really like the idea of Veronica Starling trying to Silence the Lambs.  Could make for a really interesting show and possibly could reinvent VM as we know it.   Thoughts?

I’m sorry, but I’m completely obsessed with this scene from Grey’s Anatomy the other night. Chris Lowell is such a cutie and damnit if we can’t get this much skin on Veronica Mars, its about time someone else used him for sex. Way to go Shonda!

It’s hysterical to watch these middle aged women watch the almost pre-pubescent Dell come through for his daily surf. Watching his chest heave up and down as he struts his hot stuff is one of the joys I’ve found in this crazy hectic week. Sweet Jesus!

My favorite is when the camera hits Addison for the first time, she’s trying not to look and almost can’t believe that this is going on and that these two women make it an appointment to watch him on a daily basis. Rewatch it and see Addy’s reaction. Genius.
