ABC announced their Fall 2009 TV Lineup this morning and they’ve got a pretty strong slate for this coming season. While I’m still floored people watch Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor, I’m even more amazed that Nathan Fillion’s CASTLE made it another season. I’m super excited to see BETTER OFF TED get some more love and can’t wait for newbies like COUGAR TOWN, EASTWICK and FLASH FORWARD! My question is: Where’s the remake of V? Is that pushed to midseason?
ABC Fall 2009 Lineup: MONDAY
8:00 p.m. DANCING WITH THE STARS (two-hours)
*Midseason: THE BACHELOR 8 p.m.
10:00 p.m. CASTLE
TUESDAY
8:00 p.m. SHARK TANK
9:00 p.m. DANCING WITH THE STARS RESULTS SHOW
*Midseason: SCRUBS 9 p.m.
*Midseason: BETTER OFF TED 9:30 p.m.
10:00 p.m. THE FORGOTTEN
WEDNESDAY
8:00 p.m. HANK
8:30 p.m. THE MIDDLE
9:00 p.m. MODERN FAMILY
9:30 p.m. COUGAR TOWN
10:00 p.m. EASTWICK
Don’t forget that come midseason we’ve got Better Off Ted and Scrubs (yes, Scrubs) returning along with the final season of the always mid-frakkin’ LOST! I’m assuming HAPPY TOWN and V will debut in the winter 2010 but who knows… I cannot wait for the lizard goodness!

TV Talk with GMMR and Ducky is finally back! We discuss the new fall schedule day by day and break down our returning faves and possible new must-sees.
From Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, Chuck to Heroes and My Own Worst Enemy on Monday. Tuesday’s are Biggest Loser, House, 90210, Privileged to Fringe and The Mentalist. Wednesday’s are all about Pushing Daisies, Bones, Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money and Lipstick Jungle. Over on Thursday’s we’ve got Ugly Betty, Survivor, Kath & Kim, Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, 30 Rock, Supernatural, Life on Mars and Eleventh Hour. Friday night is all about The Ghost Whisperer (I kid) and The Ex-List and Life. Sunday’s we’re freaking out that The Amazing Race is back, Desperate Housewives, Cold Case, Dexter and Brothers & Sisters.
It’s a busy season folks, sit back and relax because we talk forever.
Sunday nights are pretty chillax once we get past the first few weeks of September. MAD MEN will be winding down (sadly) as will the latest installment of BIG BROTHER which leaves my Sunday nights surprisingly peaceful.
DEXTER begins Season 3 on September 28th which means there will be more bloody greatness from my man Dex Morgan. Jimmy Smits coming in this year as Dexter’s first true friend will make for an incredibly interesting new side to our favorite vigilante. Here’s to hoping Deb gets an actual romantic and non-psychotic relationship this year and does anyone else kinda want Rita out of the picture sooner than later?
THE AMAZING RACE finally returns for its 13th season and I’m dying for this show to come back. It seems like forever since we saw Kynt and Vixen bite it and the hippies TK and Rachel win the whole kaboodle. Plus, I need some Phil back in my life. The shows been gone so long that I almost don’t remember what a Detour is… I kid.
BROTHERS & SISTERS is a show that I’m so wishy-washy with. When I’m in the zone and watching it regularly I absoadore it but if it’s gone too long – I could care less. I used to look forward to it as a good cry, a way to let go the stress of a long week but eventually it stopped making me cry regularly and started annoying me constantly. Some of these Walkers are despicable human beings and it makes it hard to identify or love them. I’ll probably watch though, that’s how fickle I am.
We’re still two months away from the actual EMMY Awards, but with all of the short-list action being revealed, I had to do a quick Emmy post about where all of our favorite shows stand in the race for Gold. Thanks to Tom O’Neil at GoldDerby for keeping all of us on top of this crazy Emmy process.
Kristin Chenoweth (hey girl, love me some Pushing Daisies) and my main man Neil Patrick Harris will reveal the nominees on July 17th.
Here’s how the categories are shaping up for the pre-Emmy short-list. From these nominees below, the final groups will be determined – but know this… someone or something below will win!

Maureen Ryan has scoop on how the Strike will impact DIRTY SEXY MONEY. This article also talks about the impact on all 1st season shows in general. Scary.
LOST might not return until February… 2009! This is the saddest thing to happen related to the strike that I’ve read so far. Ausiello has it as the 3rd clip down.
It’s a Wednesday and I hate to say it, my days of feeling down in the dumps and dog tired are continuing. I’m fighting a cold at the least and hit the bed around 9pm last night. Here’s some intersting news bits to get you guys through the day.

It’s Sunday and while you should be getting your beauty rest for a just lovely day of working tomorrow, who’s got time with all of the premiere’s tonight? From sibling rivalry to a desperate Nathan Fillion to major blood splattering – it’s a bloody good Sunday night of television.
Show’s Ducky Will Be Watching Tonight:
Well, really there are none as I’ll be on my way back from NYC. If I was home I’d watch the following shows.
9pm – Desperate Housewives – okay so I won’t watch this probably but damnit Nathan Fillion is on it this year and seriously, hearts…
10pm – Brothers & Sisters starts season 2 with a hideous video of Nora catching Justin up on what’s gone down with the family. While it’s a lame expositional method, I can look past it because seriously I love the Walkers and I’m ready for the drama.
10pm – Dexter is back for some slicing and dicing. Doakes will be creeping Dexter out, Deb will hopefully find a less serial killery mate, and Dexter will hopefully saw some people into itty bitty parts. Love him!
Other Shows Premiering Tonight:
Brotherhood (Showtime)
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC)
American Dad (FOX)
The sometimes-genius David LaChapelle has been a busy boy. He’s made a Season 4 DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES video that is out of this world visually. It’s so good in fact that it makes me want to start watching again. The addition of the gays is also a big help.
If you’ll recall, this is not the first time that David LaChapelle has lent his talents to a TV Show Teaser. He made this unbelievable and orgasmic worthy video for LOST.
Thanks to AfterElton for posting the Housewives video and reminding me how much I loved the LOST promo.
