I’m proud to announce that I’m almost 100% caught up with shows! I believe that our DVR is down to 12% and the remaining shows are shows I’ve already watched and saved.

I had some time to kill last night while waiting for UPS to call and tell me that the frakkin’ package my brother sent me was back at their Customer Center so I could go pick it up. Guitar Hero III for the Wii in case you were wondering (I have a very cool older brother)…

So in the downtime I watched this week’s episode of DIRTY SEXY MONEY. Before I quickly go into my thoughts on it, can someone please send Samaire Armstrong to rehab AND overacting school please? She’s the weakest link on the show and that’s sad because honestly, who didn’t love her on THE O.C.? The airport scene? Forget about it!

It was the quintessential homage to teen movies of my youth, it’s funny, it’s sad, it’s self referential and it’s honestly the perfect O.C. moment. Nada Surf’s rendition of “If You Leave” doesn’t suck either. I need a moment…

Okay, so yeah she’s sucking the acting life out of DSM and I need someone to take care of that. I think she can stay because I like the twin dynamic and I still like her, but she just needs to go the path of Seth Gabel who’s taken Jeremy to a whole new level of greatness and substance.

I heart Dirty Sexy Money and I don’t care who knows it. I find it to be my new Brothers & Sisters fix. I still adore B&S but DSM gives me that same boost mid-week. I’m a junkie for the Berlanti, what can I say?

I’m still 100% intrigued by Nick trying to find out who killed his Father and cannot wait to finally meet the man that was Dutch in the upcoming flashbacks. Who thinks Peter Krause is rocking his character? I love how he handles the Darlings, the humor, the naivity, the sadness and everything that goes into being the man to clean up their lives. He’s a great blend of a new character and the original Nate from Six Feet Under, the do-gooder.

Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh bring so much baggage and saddness to their roles and are 100% likable, they’re my favorites on the show.

Billy Baldwin is the new IT Baldwin if only for having the balls to make a comeback that requires him to go at it with a Tranny everyweek. Does his wife sit home wanting to tell the Tranny that “Someday somebody’s gonna make you wanna turn around and say good-bye-ye, until then baby are they gonna hold you down and make you cry?” Cause really, “Don’t ya know, things can change? Things can go your way if you hoooooold on for one more day, baby hooooooold on for one more day… things are gonna change…”
Sorry, I had to do the Wilson Phillips reference, I had to!

What the hell is Simon Elder holding over everyone and is he really as evil as I think he probably is? I hate how he’s got everyone wrapped around his little hot finger. Sure Nick and Tripp think they’re one step ahead but I highly doubt they really are.

Um, Brian and The Non-Orphan Orphan are so great. I love having him back in the Darling house as it’s finally given some humanity and humility to Brian’s other-wise wicked ways.

Then there’s Karen. She’s a crack-pot huh? Just moments away from Husband #4 and she’s already cheated on her fiancee with his Caddy and her wicked sexy ex-Sebastian (guest star Eddie Cibrian) while still swooning over Nick. Trainwreck much?

I so want to see a Lisa/Karen smackdown but sadly Lisa’s way above that and she’ll just walk away until Nick can find a way to get Karen out of their lives. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to see that catfight though. Someone needs to knock the shit out of Karen…

DIRTY SEXY MONEY returns on November 14th.

DIRTY SEXY MONEY continues to be a fun viewing experience each week and tonight we’re given a very skin-tastic viewing of guest star EDDIE CIBRIAN . He’ll be playing Sebastian, one of Karen’s ex-husbands. Hot damn!

Another night, another batch of shows missed. It’s not a good television week for me. So far this week the only things I’ve watched are HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and BIG BANG THEORY. Both which I might add were hysterical.

I’ve not seen CHUCK or HEROES from Monday night. As of last night I missed PUSHING DAISIES, TOP MODEL, GOSSIP GIRL, and DIRTY SEXY MONEY.

Wow, I’m way behind and doing a disservice to you readers… you’ll deal!

In the meantime, enjoy this…

I’m still fighting off some sort of illness so it messed with my whole night. I barely made it through the almost flawless episode of PUSHING DAISIES before I wanted to just die.

So I missed GOSSIP GIRL and DIRTY SEXY MONEY. I’ll try to catch up with them as soon as possible because they are hands down 2 of my favorite shows.

Tell me if you loved GG and DSM!

Wow, life imitates art once again. DIRTY SEXY MONEY’s resident celebutante portrayer SAMAIRE ARMSTRONG has entered an outpatient rehab.

“Samaire Armstrong decided to enter an outpatient facility to deal with some personal issues in a therapeutic atmosphere and is doing very well,” a statement released by her publicist.

This can only help the DSM ratings, right?

Wednesday night’s are fraktastic these days. There are so many amazing shows on Wednesday that a girl could get herself into a tizzy.

Pushing Daisies is on at 8pm, America’s Next Top Model finally has their makeover episode also at 8pm (The CW).

Dirty Sexy Money, ABC Cast Photo
9pm gets juicy with the just picked up for a full season GOSSIP GIRL. 10pm get’s even dirtier with DIRTY SEXY MONEY on ABC. It’s tranny time, and who’s not loving it? At 10pm on Bravo, TOP CHEF has it’s reunion episode and I can only pray someone stabs Hung.

Then there are the shows I won’t be watching… Private Practice (9pm – ABC) and Bionic Woman (9pm – NBC).

That’s a hell of a lot of television for a weeknight.

Wow, when did Tuesday night become a wasteland for DVR catch ups? I used my time wisely and instead of watching The CW’s Reaper (which honestly I’m just not that into, I’ve tried… I really have) I chose to catch up on last week’s Dirty Sexy Money (the show is coming into its own and not such a caricature of rich bitch ideology), Doctor Who (I’m still 5 away from the finale which I can’t watch the final 3 until I’ve finished the Torchwood Season 1 boxset I have because apparently Torchwood’s final episodes play heavily into the last couple Doctor Who’s – I hope to be done this weekend!), last night’s CHUCK and HEROES.

    CHUCK Versus The Tango
Gossip Girl was given the green light for a full 22 episode season today and I’m assuming that Chuck won’t be far behind giving Josh Schwartz two successful shows this season. I say that Chuck is a success because it’s made it to episode 3 and because it makes me laugh hysterically and just feel damn good about life. I heart Chuck Bartowski and his Nerd Herd pals, his nosy sister and that smokin’ hot Captain Awesome. Here’s a word of advice for Schwartzy… MORE SHIRTLESS UNDERWEAR CLAD CAPTAIN AWESOME! And more man on man tango please!

More on Chuck and Heroes after the jump…

Tonight is when your television wants to explode. It’s too much, Wednesday’s are just simply too much. Let me pose a question to all of you out there. How do you watch 3 shows at once? How do you possibly try to watch your returning faves and the newbies and have a life and a relationship and whatever when there’s so much quality television on these days.

The shows that in a perfect world could be watched are as follows: AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, GOSSIP GIRL, PRIVATE PRACTICE, BIONIC WOMAN, DIRTY SEXY MONEY and TOP CHEF. Next week it only gets worse when ABC adds my favorite PUSHING DAISIES but Top Chef drops after next week’s finale so there’s a free hour.

I’m dropping one or two shows from my schedule, have to… no way around it. This is when reality kicks in and says, “STOP WATCHING TELEVISION.” I’ll iTunes something to watch on the subway to and from work but I haven’t decided which 9pm show that will be. Bionic Woman will drop off iTunes in December (if its even added by NBC) so that could cause issues but I feel that is the one to go. When will the other networks jump on the ON DEMAND bandwagon like CBS has? That makes life easier as well. Come on now!

    Here’s what Ducky’s watching tonight:

America’s Next Top Model Cast Picture: Cycle 9
8pm – America’s Next Top Model has their Top 13 working a anti-smoking ad campaign which will surely be non-modely but I don’t care because I love the show.

    Gossip Girl on The CW
9pm – Gossip Girl’s first non-pilot episode is called “The Wild Brunch” and I can only hope it lives up to the hype.

Dirty Sexy Money, ABC Cast Photo
10pm – Dirty Sexy Money will finally introduce the world to the Darlings! I heart the Darlings!

    Also Premiering Tonight:
    Criminal Minds (CBS)n
    CSI:NY (CBS)
    Deal or no Deal (NBC)
    *New Show: BIONIC WOMAN (NBC)
    *New Show: LIFE (NBC)
    *New Show: PRIVATE PRACTICE (ABC)

9 out of 10 dentists agree… The TV Blogging community is a semi-incestuous circle of friends and frenemies so we all collaborated on a WHAT TO WATCH THIS FALL poll.

Below you’ll see what the concensus of TV Bloggers agree are the best new shows for the Fall 2007 season. The blogs that participated are: BuzzSugar, DaemonsTV, GiveMeMyRemote, GlowyBox, MikeyLikesTV, ScooterMcGavin, SillyPipeDreams, Seat42f, TapeWorthy, theTVaddict, TiFaux and TubeTalk. We rated shows on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being hideous and 5 jaw dropping great. If we had not seen a pilot yet, a simple N/A will be present.

As you can see, PUSHING DAISIES, CHUCK, DIRTY SEXY MONEY, and REAPER are the top choices and no surprises here, CAVEMEN is the show we least want to see.

    LEGEND
1 – Don’t waste your time unless you find ACCORDING TO JIM ‘funny’
2 – Not great but at least doesn’t offend me.
3 – Fun to watch if nothing else is on.
4 – Has potential. Worth a second look.
5 – Set your TiVo to Season’s Pass!
    N/A – Haven’t watched yet.

I would like to say though that I am way off in my rating for Private Practice. I gave it a higher rating out of spite as I was in my Grey’s funk and after seeing the first real episode, I’m pretty worried about Addy and Co. I’m revising my Private Practice to a 3.

Let me know if this helps you guys at all!

    Preview:

Premise: Power, privilege and family money are a volatile cocktail.

Living proof of this are the Darlings of New York City, so absurdly wealthy, they put the “upper” in Upper East Side. This preeminent family are always getting mixed up with the wrong people and finding themselves in the middle of bad situations. It’ll take a miracle to take care of the legal and sometimes illegal needs of the Darling family.
