FRINGE, wow this is the first time I’ve really even talking about it. I’m excited for it. I know most people are geeking out over Josh Jackson aka Pacey but for me it’s all about J.J. Abrams and his brilliance.
Fringe will premiere on Fox this fall and here’s the trailer and a couple sneak peek clips to tide you over this morning.
So Jon and I just got home from the crazy extravaganza that was the opening of the largest Apple Store in the US which happens to be right here in Boston! This flagship store is a 3 floor glass and stainless steel vision of beauty.
Thanks to my friend Kim we were able to enter the store about an hour before it opened and got a private tour. On the third floor (dedicated to the biggest Genius Bar i’ve ever seen and training area) all 175 employees were gathered as a sea of light blue, navy and orange shirts. The energy was magnetic and insane as they all pumped themselves up for the incredible event that was about to unfold.
After lots of screaming, clapping, chanting and just general whooping and hollering, all 175 of them made their way down the incredible 3 floor spiral glass staircase and then they went outside to run up and down through the insane crowd that had gathered. When I got to the store at 4, the line went almost 4 blocks and the store wasn’t opening for another 2 hours. I can’t imagine how long the line was by the time the place actually opened. I can say that at 7:30, the line was still being let into the store, so it was obviously incredibly long.
We made our way downstairs where the employees had gathered around the entire store and wrapping up all 3 flights of the glass staircase as they prepared for the first customer to enter the store. It was like being at the most energetic and exciting rally you could imagine. I’ve never seen this much hype and fan chaos for a friggin’ retail store.
At 6pm, you’d think that George Clooney had entered the store after curing AIDS and ending global warming. That first guy was a rockstar, a customer but a rockstar in that moment. He made his way through every employee and slapping their hands and giving high fives. Crazy! Then the parade began and for a good 30 minutes there was nothing but clapping and screaming as fans made their way into the store. We were all given their grand opening gifts. In this case it’s a green monster Apple Boylston shirt (kinda looks like the graphic above) and little red sox for your iPod. Cute.
It was mecca and we were all home!

Tonight I probably won’t be watching the season finales of THE OFFICE or SUPERNATURAL live because I’ll be at the Apple Store co-chillin’ but that doesn’t mean I’m going to miss them or wait until this weekend to watch.
Over on the The Office, it’s time to say goodbye to Toby. I’m not complaining…
I promise I will watch both shows tonight and I will give LOST a perusal as well. Couldn’t Steve Jobs pick a better night for their newest flagship launch, damn?
Oh and then there’s LOST! Michelle Forbes (always frakkin’ amazing) guests tonight and it appears that we’ll glimpse the Oceanic 6’s rescue. I’m going to probably be crying my eyes out if anyone wants to watch, head on over to my house tonight.
Quickly I wanted to touch on a couple things about last night’s television as well.
This morning I’m ripshit because I missed the most talked about moment on American Idol. I don’t quite know how I missed it considering I watched almost the entire show… I’m talking of course about the freakshow that was Fantasia’s performance! Girl’s a straight up manic panic mess with that hair, and her outfit? Child, looked like two pigs wrestling in a lycra catsuit. Hideous! Watch Simon’s face toward the end of this so called performance. Genius.
And lastly, a moment of silence after the joy of seeing slammin’ sexy Sam (Season 2) return on Top Chef last night. Can they give that boy his own show or something? I would watch him weekly, if for no other reason than he would give my right arm a work out. Loves that boy (and yes, I went there).
I’m such a geek, I’ve been jazzed about the new huge Apple Store opening downtown for over a year now and today all of my excitement will burst out in multicolored swirls of greatness set to The Ting Tings as the Boylston Street Apple Store’s doors open at 6pm tonight. Yes I will be in line a couple hours early and yes, I’ll be trying not to leave man-goo all over the shiny new store. It’s 3 floors of glass with a crazy huge glass spiral staircase, glass ceiling and grassy roof deck. (Check out Boston.com’s sneak peek photos).
Some people just don’t get it and that’s fine. Yes, sure there are 3 other Apple stores within 15 minutes of this new one but that’s neither here nor there… this is the big mothership!
Plus, I’ll get to hang out with ThePieMaker.com reader Kim as she’ll be in town for the unveiling (she works for Apple, she’s not that crazy to just fly in).
Yes, my girl Whitney just won Season 10 of America’s Next Top Model! This is the first fuller figured/plus sized model to ever make it that far in the game. Hands down, she was the right pick. She’s curvy, she’s drop dead gorgeous and seriously fierce on the runway. Work it girl!

SUPERNATURAL concludes its 3rd season this Thursday night and here are some preview clips and photos from the episode entitled: “No Rest for the Wicked”. I cannot believe that the season has come to an end already but I’m psyched to know that Supernatural will live to see another season in the exact same time slot. 8pm - AMERICAN GLADIATORS - Hells yes, it returns tonight with Evan and Monica as new gladiators. Sweet!
8-9pm: CBS’s BIG BANG THEORY and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER hour! Wait, shit I already have listed 2 things at 8. Well this is rid-god-damn-diculous. Britney’s back and she’s not that innocent (she is after all dating Barney).
8pm: GREEK. Wait a frakkin’ minute here. 4 shows on at the same time? For reals? Tonight Dept. Leo makes a play for Calvin. Ah, Max Greenfield…
Look, then at 9pm all I have is the 2nd hour of Gladiator. Honestly, a network couldn’t spread the love out amongst the hours? Seriously?
Then at 10pm it’s the finale of THE HILLS followed by my new favorite show THE PAPER! Those kids are crazy evil and I loves it.
I’m the biggest dork ever. I just now realized that tonight is the return of the all new (and all amazing) AMERICAN GLADIATORS over on NBC.
I’m psyched to see the Season 1 power houses become Gladiators (Evan is “Rocket” and Monica is “Jet”) - plus there’s a new chick named Phoenix. It’s going to be cramazing!
It’s 2 hours of power baby starting at 8pm (NBC). Don’t forget to check out the newest Gladiator Face-Off and something new for Facebook fans.
I was tasked with writing up a Mother’s Day post for AfterElton.com in honor of the day so everyone should go check it out. Not only do I honor some fave TV Mom’s, a couple from movies but also some from real life and my personal life.
Fall 2008 is a hell of a long way away but that doesn’t mean NBC wants you to forget about their mega-hit HEROES. When last we saw the show, hot ass Sylar was in a dirty alley next to a crack den and a back-alley abortion station when we learned that Chapter 3 would be called “Villians“.

In casting news for HEROES, Jane (Brea Grant) from Friday Night Lights has been added as well as Bruce Boxleitner. Does this mean we’ll be spared the Emily Valentine routine for Landry next season? I hope so.
Hey gang, good morning! I wanted to quick mention that I was kinda disappointed by last night’s finale of the otherwise super brilliant 30 ROCK. What a way to start your morning huh?
It’s highly possible that I was in a mood or something (PMSGayMS much) but I laughed less than a handful of times which is unheard of when I’m watching Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan do their normal shtick!
Jenna’s video tribute to Kenneth was high-larious as was his Olympics inspired mad dash to get his application in on time but otherwise those were the biggest chuckles of the night.
No, I’m wrong… the 3 month jump with Grizzly Frank not realizing he’s been playing a porn game for more than a couple hours and Tracy’s “eureka” moment was pretty funny as well. Oh and Jenna’s backdoor brags! Genius.
Wait, maybe I liked it more than I thought I did. Blurg! Nevermind…
Y’all know I gave up on GREY’S ANATOMY sometime last season but I had to watch last night (because I was being paid to) for a AfterElton.com write up on the hot man on man military action and I’m a sucker because I cried my eyes out through half the episode.
Watch Friday Night Light’s Santiago (Benny Ciaramello) make out with Road Ruler David Giuntoli. It’s so sweet and hot. I want to make out with Santiago…
