Big Bang Theory - Sheldon and Penny “The Big Fish Paradigm”

If you just listened to our most recent TV Talk Podcast, you know that Monday night is straight up banoodles! In an ideal world, there’s a good 5 or 6 shows that I would love to watch but considering I don’t have a time machine and I’m not unemployed (yet), I have to make a lot of dirty decisions.

Thanks to my good friends at THE BIG BANG THEORY, I’ve already seen tonight’s premiere episode entitled “The Bad Fish Paradigm” and I absoloved it. There is a killer scene between Sheldon and Penny in the laundry room that is legen…wait for it…dary! Plus, wait till you see what Sheldon uses to fold his clothes, pure brilliance. Everyone is in rare form tonight and it truly puts the show at the height of ensemble comedy.

I’m dying to see HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s premiere! It’s been a while since we last saw Ted, Robin, Barney, Marshall and Lily and I can’t wait to see what they’ve been up to all summer. From everything I’ve heard, it’s an episode that does not disappoint so do not miss out!

This week will be the first GOSSIP GIRL episode I actually have to watch and that’s killing me! I loved having the 3 week buffer (courtesy of some screener action) and to be honest, I’m counting to hours until it airs but worried that I actually won’t be able to watch (more on that later).

HEROES Season 3 kicks into gear tonight and as much as intrigued as I am to see what happens and where “Villians” will go, I don’t think I’ll be able to watch some Sylar action for a couple weeks. WHATTHEWHAT?! Believe me, it pains me more than you know.

So what’s with all the not being able to watch my favorite shows? Well, I leave for my AIDS Ride on Wednesday which means I have a shit load of stuff to do before Wednesday rolls around and my TV viewing is going to take a major backseat.

Big huge thanks to everyone that donated to my AIDS Ride, you’re all amazing and I couldn’t do it without your support! Stay tuned later in the week for info on how to follow me on the ride!

Leighton and Blake Fued on 30 Rock

Michael Ausiello promised we’d piddle ourselves with this newsbit and he’s right, I’ve wet myself with laughter at the possibilities of 30 ROCK and GOSSIP GIRL mashup. According to the scooper, Leighton Meester and Blake Lively will guest on a November sweeps episode of the Tina Fey laugher.

The dynamic duo will play — prepare to laugh ’till you piddle — former high school classmates of Liz Lemon’s in a flashback sequence that reveals a shocking and deeply ironic truth about Tina Fey’s morally superior alter ego: She was a Mean Girl!

The Gossip-inspired flashback coincides with Liz’s 20-year high school reunion, which means we’re also going to meet the adult versions of Meester and Lively’s characters. (In a kicky twist, Rock execs are talking to Blake’s older sis, Robyn Lively, about playing the latter part.)

If Robyn Lively does play the older version of her sister, the bitch better bust out in a little “Top That” from the trainwreck Teen Witch!

I don’t know about you but nothing makes me happier on this Friday morning than learning of this crossover. Here’s to hoping that they give Leighton braces and Blake the biggest crispy Jersey mall hair possible! I expect brilliance and will accept nothing less!!!

Gossip Girl Season 2 Pics - Chuck and Blair - Brunch Brawl

Hello Upper East Side stalkers, you’ve been waiting months for those over-privileged over-dressed richies to return and it’s finally here! GOSSIP GIRL Season 2 kicks off tonight and I’m thrilled to report that a hiatus has been good to all and you’re in for quite the treat tonight!

Season 2 kicks off in the Hamptons and it’s obviously been a summer of sun, fun and a lot of nudity. GG is back and dirtier than ever! Get ready for some hardcore Mrs. Robinson action (Madchen Amick never looked better, but really when was the last time cleaning up Leo Johnson’s spittle looked hot?), a new and hopefully improved Lil J, some rekindled friendships and romances, not to mention some of the smartest lines this show’s ever delivered.

Of the three eps I’ve seen, the first two take place in the Hamptons and at the end of episode 2 they’re on their way back to NYC. Ep 3 is still the summer so don’t go thinking we’re getting back to uniforms and knee highs anytime soon. Settle in and let the dog days of summer bark and nibble at your Walmart socked feet.

Obviously I can’t give anything away so I will tell you some of my favorite vague moments so far.

  • Lil J tries to back peddle with someone she’s burned pretty harshly.
  • Dan Humphrey has made the most of his summer away from Serena but may have ruined chances for his future.
  • Serena’s new theme song could be “Bitchin’ Camaro.”
  • Chuck Bass has never been more of a “Basstard” or a “Basshole” than he has this summer and Schwartz and Savage must die daily to have the pleasure of a Chuck/Blair verbal war. But don’t think it will all be snarksville for these two. I will say that they made me almost teary at one point!!!
  • Eric’s still gay but no one’s told his hair.
  • Vanessa’s still around and actually given a storyline or two that doesn’t revolve around Dan Humphrey and pining away for him.
  • Rufus has been touring all summer and getting sexier by the minute.
  • But where is Lily van der Woodsen cum Bass? Could it be that absence makes the heart grow fonder or do we not care anymore?
  • Only time will tell…

Here’s something to ponder: The girl you love to hate returns tonight and I’m not talking about Blair Waldorf, I’m talking about our mysterious insider with all the snarky and traumatizing scoop on our favorite teens. I have to say that in Season 1, I never found Gossip Girl to be that vindictive but 3 episodes into Season 2, she’s kind of a bitch and if we’ve learned anything over the last year it’s that Blair Waldorf is the biggest bitch in town, so lets leave it that way shall we?

Oh, and I think I might be over my Penn Badgley obsession. I think we broke up over the summer… he’ll be fine, I promise you.

xoxo you know you love me!

Don’t forget to tune into the Season 2 premiere of Gossip Girl tonight at 8pm on The CW.

    Fall TV 2008: Monday Schedule
Ducky’s Fall TV Schedule - Monday

Just look at Monday’s will you? There is only one word that can describe Monday’s schedule and that is banoodles! How the frak is a TV lover supposed to live with the torture? The TV Gods love and hate Josh Schwartz because they’ve pit both of his shows against each other. Now that ain’t right.

I’ve been contemplating how the hell to make it all work but obviously some shows are going to have to take a backseat. I have to factor in my partner’s needs so the few shows that he likes take precedence. That means live on Monday nights we’ll be watching a good mix of what we both like. That’s what compromise is all about kids.

THE BIG BANG THEORY and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER will be watched live because we laugh our asses off at both sitcoms. I’m so excited to see Sarah Gilbert come onto BBT as a regular and seriously the anticipation of whether or not Sarah Chalke is the Mother makes both of these shows Must See TV.

The other show that I’ll watch in the 8 o’clock hour on Monday’s is GOSSIP GIRL. I know what you’re thinking… what about CHUCK? Well, Chuck is going to have to be a download or online viewing. Of the Schwartz-ies Choice, those Upper East Siders are much more entertaining for this big queer. No offense Bartowski.

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES will also have to become an alternate viewing. I spent part of the summer watching the entire first season and I really enjoy the show so trust me, this was a hard choice as well. And that’s just the first timeslot of the night, oh christ.

At 9:00 I’ve only got HEROES. I cannot wait to see what they do with Season 3 and the whole Villians motif. The previews I’ve seen so far give the show a new direction and a renewed darkness… much needed after a very uneven and dismall Season 2.

Finally, I’m thinking of taking on the new action show MY OWN WORST ENEMY starring Christian Slater. If you’ve seen the latest preview, the show looks like great fun.

Can you believe that’s just Monday… the start of the week is scary enough to turn off even this dedicated tube viewer. Stay tuned for Tuesday.

I’ve got the first three episodes burning a hole in my desk and I love teasing myself into holding out as long as possible to watch the GOSSIP GIRL Season 2 goodness but that doesn’t mean I won’t share the wealth.

While you have to wait until September 1st to see the entire Season 2 premiere, you can catch the first 5 minutes right now! Delish…

Thanks to Kristin Dos Santos and her crew over at E!, we’ve got a couple more preview clips for Season 2 of GOSSIP GIRL. These aren’t the cramazing promos I posted the other day, these are full clips from the premiere.

Watch Chuck and Serena have a sibling smackdown:

More Gossip Girl after the jump… (more…)

GOSSIP GIRL Season 2 Poster - Chuck

GOSSIP GIRL returns September 1st and this preview is the entire reason why I choose Blair, Serena, Chuck, Dan, Lil J, Nate and the rest of the rich bitches over Chuck Bartowski and the Nerd Herd. Gossip Girl is deliciously dirty. It’s going to be the cruelest summer ever and I cannot wait for the debauchery to begin… Here is my favorite previews for the new season; they encompasses everything I love about the show in less than 30 seconds each.

“That Mother Chucker!” is the best line ever… Holy hell, I love the Townie/Camaro line. Madchen Amick rolling around with Nate? Priceless. What about Blair’s face as she sucks on that straw? The girl is a genius! These videos have made me absolutely giddy for September 1st to arrive.

Wondering when Gossip Girl premieres? How about the new 90210? Need some Wincest in your life? Find out when Supernatural, Smallville, Top Model, One Tree Hill and more premiere. The CW has set their fall schedule and it looks like they are finally shaping up as a network that understands their audience.

    Monday, September 1
    8:00-9:00 p.m. “GOSSIP GIRL”
    9:00-10:00 p.m. “ONE TREE HILL”

    Tuesday, September 2
    8:00-10:00 p.m. “90210”* (Two-Hour Premiere)

    Wednesday, September 3
    8:00-10:00 p.m. “AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL”

    Tuesday, September 9
    9:00-10:00 p.m. “PRIVILEGED”

    Thursday, September 18
    8:00-9:00 p.m. “SMALLVILLE”
    9:00-10:00 p.m. “SUPERNATURAL”

    Friday, October 3
    8:00-8:30 p.m. “EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS”
    8:30-9:00 p.m. “THE GAME”
9:00-10:00 p.m. “AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL” (Encore Presentation)

    Wednesday, October 29
    9:00-10:00 p.m. “STYLISTA”

GOSSIP GIRL will return really early this fall and grace us with a couple summery episodes where the kids hit the Hamptons for some dirty debauchery and some serious scandal… I cannot wait! I love the feel of this preview video because it has this teen sex romp film preview feel to it with the music, the character title cards and pacing. It’s pretty much perfection and you know I love it

    xoxo

    Gossip Girl on The CW

As I finished watching last night’s finale of GOSSIP GIRL I felt a little bit let down because nothing huge and cramazingly game changing happened but then I sat there and thought, look how much GG accomplished in their freshman season and I knew better.

I checked myself at the door and embraced the brilliance that is Season 1 of Josh SchwartzGossip Girl regardless of whether or not the finale was crazy spectacular.

There are a couple things that made me love the show last night and only one of them is an emotional beat, and before you even ask - no I didn’t cry.

Obviously my favorite moment of the night was watching Blair take Georgina down in such a deliciously dirty way. I was just as stunned as B to see Dan Humphrey get a little dirty in his desire see Georgie fall. How hilarious was it that she called in G’s parents? I thought that hands down it was one of the best ways to ruin that twunt Georgie.

Here’s my problem with that scene though… It was so saucy that I would have loved to have seen more of the actual plotting. Blair is at her best when she is being the crazy bitch we know she can be so to be cheated on all of her devilish dealings makes me a little sad. I’m just sayin’.

I also loved that Chuck Bass is just that… Chuck Bass. It was a great way to end the episode, with him realizing that he cannot be the tamed lame duck version of Chuck Bass and that banging Patty Hearst’s daughter was much more important to his future than spending the summer with Queen B. Call me crazy but I think she’ll be fine; her jump seat aficionado seems like a nice alternative and I’m sure she’ll make the most of it. Go girl!

I also really loved watching Lily and Rufus together. There is such great chemistry between them and I love that somehow, behind closed doors they came to an agreement about the future of their relationship. I’m dying to know what made her decide to go ahead with her marriage with Bart and what made Rufus so happy about the decision. It was a really nice moment and made me want the two of them to come back together again.

Back on the Rufus kick, how cute was Little J’s call to her Daddy? Go Jenny Humphrey for getting a killer internship for the summer working with Blair’s Mommy Dearest. And seriously, Jenny’s on the whim creations are out of control adorable. Makes me sick. What the girl could do if I gave her some pillows to make for my couch. I can only dream.

Finally, I loved how there really was a nice summer vibe to the closing of Season 1. I know that Gossip Girl will be back for Season 2 in August where we’ll get to see the kids partying in the Hamptons so this was a nice way to end the season - gearing us up for some summer fun.

I’ll miss my Gossip Girl but I’m glad that it was such a refreshingly vicious season of television. Kudos Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage - you rocked my world all year and I cannot wait to see what you have up your dirty little sleeves for next year.

PS - In case you’re wondering… I’m so over my love of Penn Badgley.

We said we’d be back with another TV Talk Podcast in a week but it took almost a week and a half, I think you survived just fine. GMMR was at the Upfront presentations so there’s plenty to talk about including her celebrity sightings, stalkings, and dancing partners. We’ll even talk about Joss Whedon’s DOLLHOUSE and J.J. Abrams FRINGE starring GMMR’s mega crush Josh Jackson. So You Think You Can Dance might get a couple minutes or five along with her time with The Office and Tina Fey!

Back to your regularly scheduled podcast, we head right into GOSSIP GIRL, AMERICAN IDOL, THE OFFICE, GREY’S, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and more. Plus, it’s the return of TWO IDIOTS TALK LOST (*we talk about the finale being this week but listener Michael pointed out that it’s not until May 29th - phew!) where we rehash the first hour of the three hour Season 4 finale, once again proving that even idiots can enjoy Lost. And as a bonus feature, we have a special guest to help us talk about the Season 3 finale of The CW’s SUPERNATURAL.

Sit back and relax because this Podcast almost hits 90 minutes. You read that right, 90 minutes of babbling, giggling, bitching, and TV Talk!

Tonight there is so much television to watch, I think I might explode. Here’s what I’m excited about on the tube tonight.

8pm - GOSSIP GIRL - I cannot wait to see the fallout from Ashergate for Little J and seriously, will alien face Serena return to whack again?

8pm - AMERICAN GLADIATORS - Hells yes, it returns tonight with Evan and Monica as new gladiators. Sweet!

8-9pm: CBS’s BIG BANG THEORY and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER hour! Wait, shit I already have listed 2 things at 8. Well this is rid-god-damn-diculous. Britney’s back and she’s not that innocent (she is after all dating Barney).

8pm: GREEK. Wait a frakkin’ minute here. 4 shows on at the same time? For reals? Tonight Dept. Leo makes a play for Calvin. Ah, Max Greenfield…

Look, then at 9pm all I have is the 2nd hour of Gladiator. Honestly, a network couldn’t spread the love out amongst the hours? Seriously?

Then at 10pm it’s the finale of THE HILLS followed by my new favorite show THE PAPER! Those kids are crazy evil and I loves it.

TV Talk with GMMR and Ducky is back! After 7 weeks, we were finally able to see each other and dish all the dirt on our favorite shows.

Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, House, Gossip Girl, American Idol, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Brothers & Sisters, So You Think You Can Dance, Ugly Betty, Greek and so much more.

We take some last minute listener questions on which finale’s we’re most looking forward to and also which hot summer movies our fave TV stars are popping up in. Not to mention Kath gets to wax The Office finale after one Canadian listener begs for finale information.

Also, be on the lookout for the return of TWO IDIOTS TALK LOST! We watch the show but we’re not experts, sue us.
