Tonight there is so much television to watch, I think I might explode. Here’s what I’m excited about on the tube tonight.
8pm - GOSSIP GIRL - I cannot wait to see the fallout from Ashergate for Little J and seriously, will alien face Serena return to whack again?
8pm - AMERICAN GLADIATORS - Hells yes, it returns tonight with Evan and Monica as new gladiators. Sweet!
8-9pm: CBS’s BIG BANG THEORY and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER hour! Wait, shit I already have listed 2 things at 8. Well this is rid-god-damn-diculous. Britney’s back and she’s not that innocent (she is after all dating Barney).
8pm: GREEK. Wait a frakkin’ minute here. 4 shows on at the same time? For reals? Tonight Dept. Leo makes a play for Calvin. Ah, Max Greenfield…
Look, then at 9pm all I have is the 2nd hour of Gladiator. Honestly, a network couldn’t spread the love out amongst the hours? Seriously?
Then at 10pm it’s the finale of THE HILLS followed by my new favorite show THE PAPER! Those kids are crazy evil and I loves it.
TV Talk with GMMR and Ducky is back! After 7 weeks, we were finally able to see each other and dish all the dirt on our favorite shows.
Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, House, Gossip Girl, American Idol, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Brothers & Sisters, So You Think You Can Dance, Ugly Betty, Greek and so much more.
We take some last minute listener questions on which finale’s we’re most looking forward to and also which hot summer movies our fave TV stars are popping up in. Not to mention Kath gets to wax The Office finale after one Canadian listener begs for finale information.
Also, be on the lookout for the return of TWO IDIOTS TALK LOST! We watch the show but we’re not experts, sue us.

I apologize that I’ve been so busy, not blogging much and def not promoting the bleep out of the return of GOSSIP GIRL. That will change (at least for the moment) because it’s CONTEST TIME!!!
Here’s your chance to get creative Gossip Girl fans. At stake is not only your reputation but your fashion sense and social standing in the blogosphere.
Enter to win an official Gossip Girl t-shirt by watching the brilliantly racy video below and in the comments section filling in the bleep. What would you like Serena to say to Dan in that moment. Be smart, be witty, be sassy and best of all be the bitch you know you can be!
Gossip Girl returns to the CW on Monday, April 21st… OMFG!
I’ve watched The Biggest Loser (finale tonight, GO ALI) and Battlestar Galactica (Katee Sackoff was phenom this past week and I wept like a little bitch) and that’s about it.
I forgot to even record 30 Rock or The Office from last Thursday not to mention I totes forgot to record the last two weeks of How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory (though, have they even been on?). I’m still a couple weeks behind on Torchwood (maybe only 1 week), Idol is youtube when I have a minute or two at work and who knew last night was the return of Bones?
In other words, TV is so not happening until May. That also means I’m going to miss the return of Gossip Girl next Monday and Supernatural next Thursday (though I can watch it today, if I had time… might find the time).
As I’ve been hoping all season long, it appears that finally one of the guys on GOSSIP GIRL will be getting a little more F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! Figures all the gay gossip would happen after I leave Paley.
I’m hearing from an extremely reliable source that a male character on Gossip Girl will be revealed to be of the gay persuasion when the show returns on April 21. Who? Can’t say. Won’t say. It’s too good a surprise. I will, however, offer five tantalizing clues.
• The revelation significantly impacts the lives of at least three people.
• The aftershocks will be felt on both sides of the East River.
• Some viewers will be surprised by the twist, others not so much.
• In the Gossip Girl novels, Dan was known to be a bit of a switch hitter — which isn’t so much a clue as it is a fact. A misleading fact? Perhaps. Perhaps not.
As my friend Amy will confirm, I’ve been waiting for Dan Humphrey to start swinging my gay way ever since the 2nd episode when I found out he’s bi in the books. It would be a disservice to the character and to my nighttime fantasies to not have this happen. Schwartzy, give a guy a break already and make a smokin’ hot character a homo already.
Sadly, general consensus is that little suicidal Eric Van der Woodsen is the closeted casanova. I can live with that but once again it does nothing for my hopes and dreams…

Hello Upper East Siders, I just received the following message from Gossip Girl herself. It appears that we’ll be able to relive the adventures of S and B, Nate, Chuck and those Humphrey’s all over again, from the beginning! They’re moving to Monday’s at 8/9c so mark it in your iCal. Apparently you’re not going to want to miss out either because The CW will be airing never before seen footage as well as cast interviews to make the gossip that much juicier!
Here’s the 411:
The CW Network invites die-hard fans and new viewers to catch the hit freshman drama GOSSIP GIRL from the very beginning with a special, 90-minute GOSSIP GIRL REVEALED, on Monday, January 28 (8:00-9:30 p.m. ET), hosted by the stars of GOSSIP GIRL and featuring the series premiere as well as exclusive, never-before-seen bonus material.
In addition to airing the pilot episode in its entirety, The CW will offer an enhanced GOSSIP GIRL experience to passionate devotees and the uninitiated wanting to see how the phenomenon began. During the broadcast, viewers will go behind the scenes for in-depth conversations with TV’s hottest cast, including Blake Lively (“Serena van der Woodsen”), Leighton Meester (“Blair Waldorf”), Penn Badgley (“Dan Humphrey”), Chace Crawford (“Nate Archibald”), Taylor Momsen (“Jenny Humphrey”), Ed Westwick (“Chuck Bass”), Kelly Rutherford (“Lily van der Woodsen”), Matthew Settle (“Rufus Humphrey”) and Jessica Szohr (“Vanessa”). Additional bonus material includes never-before-seen footage from the series, profiles of the players and the wannabes in the GOSSIP GIRL world, featurettes on the GOSSIP GIRL fashion and music, and much more.
In the following weeks, The CW will air all of the GOSSIP GIRL episodes in consecutive order every Monday!
GOSSIP GIRL aired it’s last episode tonight and sadly I don’t have a ton of time to recap the pickle these kids got themselves into so I thought I’d share with you the actual typed notes I was taking when I watched this episode a couple weeks ago. It’s a look inside the brain of a 12 year old obsessed tv blogger.
How’s teen pregrancy for gossip fodder? Primo! Seems S is like a defective typewriter and being the biggest IT girl in town means everyone knows.
Dan Humphrey proves he’s the dumbest and most chivalrous man in NYC.
Jenny Humphrey stands up to B’s hazing antics and storms off just in time for Serena to swoop in and reveal who’s really missing their period. Are B and Bass expecting child? God I love scandal.
B continues to overcompensate with Nate and the doting girlfriend act is getting old, just ask that stalking Bass.
Back at casa Humphrey, a romantic dinner between S and D is a little awkward since D confessed his love earlier. Too bad Dan’s being a little to self absorbed to realize that S’s issue is with the denial diva B. S confesses B’s deepest and darkest, little do they know that Lil J’s just around the corner soaking every juicy word in. Whoops.
Becks, the art dealer from the pilot reappears and asks Rufus out on a date. Back in the saddle again!
S shows up at Chuck’s place asking for his help in confronting B only to discover that she’s been left in the dark about her romp in the sack with Nate. Time for a catfight? Sadly, Mrs. Waldorf overhears and thinks her daughter’s “condition” has reappeared. Close but no cigar. Wrong upchucking condition.
Things go from bad to worse when a pre-school standoff with Bass leads to B’s dirty laundry being aired out all over Gossip Girl. Think she would have learned by now.
Nate asks Jenny if GG is true and figuring she doesn’t need B anymore, she tells Nate all the gory details which leads to the most homo moment of GG to date, a Nate and Chuck tussle for all to see. Could Chuck be more the jilted lover? Get a room.
Nate comes home to find B begging for forgiveness but instead she ends up alone with the knowledge that Lil J sold her out. When she tries to take Jenny down in front of her cronies, a new Queen has already taken the reigns and she’s learned from the best because it’s a nasty battle of words and once again B’s left with the sting of her own venom. Like the new Queen tells Lil J, B trained them all well. Too bad all this new popularity is once again getting to Jenny’s head, she’s no longer the grunt or the gopher, sadly she has no problem letting newbie Lil E know that. How far you’ve fallen Jenny Humphrey in your rise to the top.
Lonely and pathetic, B tries to butter up to Chuck, taking him for the fool he’s not quite ready to be. Luckily, he’s gone all Logan Echolls on us calls B “Rode hard, put away wet.” Betcha that stings.
B runs home and convinces her Mother that she needs a semester in Paris but S confronts B helicopter side and cons her into not running. It’s full circle as S reminds B of what it was like when she ran away and how she reinvented herself amidst all the gossip.
B might be tougher than we thought Upper East Siders, scandal’s got a new name and a new face. I wouldn’t want to be in the wake of Hurricane Waldorf.
How does it end?
“One good scandal deserves another, wonder who’s going down next? Everybody is B has anything to say about it. You know you love me. xoxox Gossip Girl”
There were some incredible moments in this episode. I loved Jenny standing up to Blair but then I hated Jenny for not doing what she promised Dan back in the pilot, not changing who she is. She had a big chance to change the social order of those over-privileged bitches but instead tucked her tail and carried on the rotten tradition.
I really liked the idea of coming full circle with Serena growing up some and having the chance to convince Blair not to make the same mistakes she made but I wish it didn’t come across so hokey.
That fight? Brilliantly lame. I now feel like I could take Nate, rip all his clothes off and slam him against the trunk of a car… wait, sorry!
Could Dan be more of a wet blanket? He’s such a sucker and I want him to move on. I want him to not be so in love of Serena. And Serena… I want her to just take a moment to breathe and not be trying to fix everything because I know she’s not like 2 months clean of being the next Britney.
Why oh why can we not have Rufus and Lily together? That’s driving me insane as I heart those two wacky lovebirds.
Blair’s return to school and the revenge she’ll enact is going to be devilishly sweet. I look forward to that most my friends!
So what did you think? Love it? Hate it? Sad this is it until God knows when?
*UPDATED: This information below was based on The CW’s first initial press release which was later revised after I posted this. The Supernatural dates are wrong. The show returns January 31st and ends February 21st.
Now that we’re in 2008 and the WGA Strike is not coming to an end anytime soon, it’s time for the networks to shake things up once again. This time it’s The CW and they’re tinkering with some of my faves… not pleased.
Starting February 28th, SUPERNATURAL will not even be in repeats as The CW takes it off the schedule and replaces it with the crap that is Reaper.
Starting Monday, January 28th GOSSIP GIRL will move to Monday’s in order to dodge the freight train that is AMERICAN IDOL.
Happy New Year and welcome to TV in 2008 — something the likes you’ve never seen before. The WGA Strike has completely changed the landscape of television for the upcoming winter/spring season and we’re here to dish about it.
Dan and Kath are back for TV Podcast #18 and while shows are still new we’re covering the latest from Friday Night Lights, Gossip Girl, The Amazing Race, and Project Runway.
We also give you the latest counts for original episodes remaining for our favorite shows as well as returning faves like LOST, PSYCH, TORCHWOOD and KYLE XY. What about newbies like TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES and NEW AMSTERDAM? What about AMERICAN GLADIATORS? Yup, we chat about those too.
*Just a warning there are major spoilers for the finale of GOSSIP GIRL which has yet to air.

Okay so maybe I just made a Lamar type the leap of faith, but tonight is some seriously gay television. The only way it could be gayer would be if Pushing Daisies was on tonight (sadly, it’s not).
GOSSIP GIRL is on The CW and it’s a really dirty scandal rocked episode entitled “School Lies.” At 10 over on Bravo we finally get a new episode of PROJECT RUNWAY and Designer Zac Posen is a guest judge (that’s pretty gay) immediately followed by the Casting Special for MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL.
The “Make Me A Supermodel” casting special follows the series’ open calls in five cities – Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and New York, where models from around the country auditioned for the chance to be on the show. The top 35 applicants were then brought to New York to meet with the series’ hosts and representatives from New York Model Management. The models then completed a series of challenges – testing their runway walk, posing in a bathing suit and posing for photos with a partner. Ultimately, Beckford, Taylor and New York Model Management eliminated 11 contestants, narrowing the field from 35 to the top 24 finalists. During the special, a second round of cuts was made and the models were pared down to the final 12 selected for a spot on the show. Meanwhile, three men and three women were placed online on www.BravoTV.com, where viewers were able to choose the final two models that will compete in the series. The casting special includes the models’ audition videos and Bravo’s cameras follow the final 14 to their hometowns when they receive the good news that they were selected for the show.
As previously announced, during the run of the series, Bravo viewers will vote each week to determine who stays to walk the “Supermodel” catwalk again and who goes home. Over a 12-week period, 14 hopefuls will live together in a New York City loft and explore friendships, romance and naked ambition while undergoing a series of creative challenges designed to test their professional modeling potential. This series will explore what it takes to turn the exceptionally good-looking into the king or queen of the catwalk.
