Y’all know I gave up on GREY’S ANATOMY sometime last season but I had to watch last night (because I was being paid to) for a AfterElton.com write up on the hot man on man military action and I’m a sucker because I cried my eyes out through half the episode.
Watch Friday Night Light’s Santiago (Benny Ciaramello) make out with Road Ruler David Giuntoli. It’s so sweet and hot. I want to make out with Santiago…

It’s Tuesday morning and I just realized that I missed two shows I normally watch. One being a long time fave and the other an okay while the strike is on acceptable newbie. The funny thing is, I so don’t care.
I just now realized that Sunday night there was a new Brothers & Sisters, to make it worse funnier, I apparently missed the episode before that one as well (and possibly the one before that)… who knew?! I kinda don’t care. I lost so much respect for so many of the characters on the show during this season that I really could care less if it comes back. Plus, when I think about all the stuff Jon Robin Baitz said about his ouster from the show, I can’t help but think how much better it would have been had he remained a creative force in the Walker storyline.
This is like how I lost all of my love for Grey’s… maybe it’s a good thing that I can sometimes give up on a show so easily. I used to die for Grey’s Anatomyweek to week. I bought the DVD’s, I read the writer’s blog, I would watch youtube fanvids, I’d cry my eyes out and then one day I fucking hated the show and I was done. I’ve not seen a second of the show since and I have to say, I don’t miss it at all.
The newbie I’ve missed for a couple weeks now and don’t plan on getting back into is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I was all about the show leading up to its premiere and even the 2nd episode but then I got worried about the continunity and the acting and it was over for me. I’m not giving up on it completely though. I will say that if the show survives to see a second season I will watch the episodes somehow over the summer if I hear amazing things about them and that they warrant my attention. If not though, I’m not wasting my time.
Sadly, I did something similar with CHUCK. I love (yeah… I think I still love) the show and the actors and the action and the comedy and everything anti-hero that Chuck brings to the table but somehow when it went away for the holidays and then burned off it’s 2 remaining episodes last month… I didn’t watch them and it doesn’t bother me at all. Is that bad?
Here are a bunch of pictures from this past weekend’s Fashion Week event, The Heart Truth featuring a ton of TV’s favorite leading ladies. The West Wing’s Allison Janney, The Practice’s Camryn Manheim, Curb’s Cheryl Hines, The Office’s Jenna Fischer, Project Runway’s Heidi Klum, Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz, E!’s Lisa Rinna, Grey’s Sara Ramirez, Las Vegas’ Molly Sims, 24’s Mary Lynn Rajskub, and others joined First Douche Laura Bush to raise awareness for women and heart disease with The Red Dress Collection 2008.
Happy New Year and welcome to TV in 2008 — something the likes you’ve never seen before. The WGA Strike has completely changed the landscape of television for the upcoming winter/spring season and we’re here to dish about it.
Dan and Kath are back for TV Podcast #18 and while shows are still new we’re covering the latest from Friday Night Lights, Gossip Girl, The Amazing Race, and Project Runway.

What about newbies like TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES and NEW AMSTERDAM? What about AMERICAN GLADIATORS? Yup, we chat about those too.
*Just a warning there are major spoilers for the finale of GOSSIP GIRL which has yet to air.

The Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations are out and listed below. I have to say that while I’m excited for Mad Men, Michael C. Hall, Glenn Close, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, and The Office Cast nod — I’m pissed that Friday Night Lights is once again being shut out. Connie Britton is acting her ass off out there in Texas and noone seems to be taking notice. This is hands down my biggest problem at the moment, give the girl some respect. The show also should have been nominated for Ensemble. That’s bullshit.
Also, seriously no How I Met Your Mother for Ensemble Comedy? Come on… Lost? Matthew Fox? Someone’s huffing some strong stuff over there in LaLaLand.

I’m super psyched for a good chunk of nominations. Pushing Daisies, Lee Pace, and Anna Friel have to be my biggest joy this morning! You know I love me some PD and this really gives me hope that the show can be bigger and better post-strike. Kick ass for summer shows like Damages and Mad Men! They kept television in a higher class all summer long so they are much deserved of this honor. Kudos to John Hamm and Rose Byrne for being the summer newbies! Also huge props to 30 Rock, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin because there is pretty much not a funnier duo on television at the moment.
Sadly Friday Night Lights is shut out, as is Battlestar. It’s hard to believe that The Office got shat upon as well. I thought for sure there was a nomination in there for Jenna Fischer. She killed it at the end of last season and the beginning of this short season. Lost’s Matthew Fox and Elizabeth Mitchell were robbed. What about Barney? Oh god, Neil Patrick Harris didn’t get a nom, kinda sucks.
The 65th Annual Golden Globes will be awarded on January 13th (NBC).
We’re about to enter Week 5 of the WGA Strike so GMMR and I give you the rundown on how many original episodes are left for most shows. We then discuss this season’s plot points thus far as well as whether or not each show is living up to our expectations.

The WGA Strike is about to take away television but before that happens, there’s plenty for GMMR and I to talk about!
Dan and Kath are back for TV Podcast #16, and it’s all about the shows! It’s not about the strike, it’s just us talking about what we’ve loved and hated about television over the past couple weeks. I’m going to warn you now, it’s an hour long podcast. We haven’t talked in a while so sit back, relax, and listen to us in 2 sittings if that makes it easier. Thanks for sticking with us!
We tackle each day’s best and worst starting with Monday and working our way all the way to the lazy nights of Sunday. Chuck, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Prison Break, Heroes, House, Bones, Reaper, Pushing Daisies, Gossip Girl, Dirty Sexy Money, Private Practice, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Supernatural, Moonlight, Friday Night Lights, Torchwood, The Amazing Race, Brothers & Sisters, Dexter, and more. Phew, who’s tired already?
