Another month, another sickness induced hiatus and not one but two surgeries later, GMMR and Ducky are back with a new TV Talk Podcast!
Your favorite carcasters are back to talk about all of the TV we’ve soaked in from our hospital and sick beds.
We kick off the podcast with the Season 6 finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Then we move on to the fall finales of GLEE and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
We sink our teeth into some TRUE BLOOD casting news then tackle the return of faves CHUCK and LOST.
MODERN FAMILY and THE OFFICE were Christmas fantastic, as were 30 ROCK and the increasingly brilliant PARKS & RECREATION.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and THE BIG BANG THEORY are always worth a good conversation as is the debate over THE GOOD WIFE.
What else is on tap? How about MERCY, IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, THE SING-OFF, SAY YES TO THE DRESS, HAPPILY EVER FASTER and LAUNCH MY LINE.
Did the right people win TOP CHEF and PROJECT RUNWAY? Who’s real pretty to look at and what’s our new TV Talk Podcast tagline?
Thanks for being so patient with our crazy illnesses and busy schedules. We wish we could podcast more regularly than we do and we think it’s amazing so many folks care about what we have to say regarding all things TV! You guys are the best.
For those of you not going to COMIC-CON this year, consider yourselves lucky because if you knew the anxiety and rage the scheduling has caused me and my fellow TV Bloggers, you’d be fine just staying home. There are so many TV panels this year and so many things I want to do that either overlap each other or run too close to ever hope of getting in, so trying to decide what to see is like Sophie’s Choice up in this place.
Here are the panels I’m interested in attending and as you’ll see, it’s nearly impossible to attend half of the things I’m excited about.
*Item’s in BOLD are panels I’m currently planning on seeing but I promise you, it will change before leaving next week.

Do you see how agonizing it is to try and plan your days? Saturday is seriously OOC and I’m sure many decision will change in the spur of the moment. What you don’t see on here are the parties we’re RSVP’d for and the Press Rooms we’re hoping to do as well. Add press rooms for most shows on Saturday and you’d have to have 3 Buffy Bots to help you cover it all.
Regardless, I’ll be there with many blogger friends and we’ll be podcasting every day and recording as many panels as possible to post here on Ducky Does TV so stay tuned!
We threatened to never do another TV Talk Podcast if you didn’t flock to iTunes and leave us comments… well I’m happy to report that you love us as much as we love you! Thanks to your generosity, we are back and this week’s podcast is a lot of fun!
We revise our thoughts on Swingtown now that we’re both completely caught up (and loving it), we talk about my chat with Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) and her stint on Burn Notice plus some scoop on her new Fox pilot Inseparable.
Next we tackle one of the most talked about Fall pilots, J.J. Abrams FRINGE! Kath and I will review the plot, the mystery and the hotness that is Josh Jackson but don’t worry we don’t spoil anything for you! We’re good like that!
Then it’s time for some listener emails because you guys are cramazing!
Who wants to talk Comic-Con? No? Tough because we run down the shows that will be in San Diego and vent our frustrations over the scheduling. If you’re going to be in town for Comic-Con and you’re a reader or listener, let us know… we’d love to see you!
Before wrapping up this week we have a little fun with our TV version of F, Marry, Kill! That’s right, we each pick one we’d boink, one we’d marry and one we’d go Dexter Morgan on. join in the fun and leave us some comments about who you’d F, Marry and Kill based on our choices. We’ll read some of them on the air in our next podcast.
FX’s sickly funny IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA has it’s third season premiere tonight at 10pm. I was lucky enough to get the first 4 episodes ahead of time and I’m not in the least surprised that the gang has not lost its bite.
Dumpster babies, death, incest, it’s all there and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I heart this show and applaude its beyond un-PC approach to comedy. Last year when they pipe bombed that restaurant, I thought they couldn’t get any lower, but they always do! Remember cripple fights in the mall? How about $100 Baby and Sweet Dee’s roid rage? Genius!
If you’ve never seen IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, please go out and buy the DVD box set of the first two seasons, it’s wicked cheap and well worth it. You’ll laugh until you cry and often throw up.
Sunny premieres tonight on FX at 10pm with 2 back-to-back episodes.
FX has a goldmine with It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, a comic goldmine at least! This show is one of the nastiest, raunchiest, un-PC shows ever created. It takes the ideas Larry David throws out in Curb Your Enthusiasm and exploits worse than you can imagine. No topic is taboo for this show. Race, Religion, Sexuality, Gender, Disability, AIDS, you name it they’ll ruin it – in a good side splitting funny way!
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia premieres September 13th but you can catch a Special Pre-Season Episode right now on their MySpace page.
The addition of Danny DeVito last season was a risky one but I think it paid off big time. He’s even more disgusting than Dennis, Charlie, Sweet Dee and Mac. If you’re not watching the show, you really need to start. You’ve been warned though, this is not for the PC person or those easily offended. If you can’t handle a cripple fight in the Mall food court or the accidental molatov cocktail-ing of an Arab man’s restaurant then tune in to The Ghost Whisperer!
Here are some very funny and almost perfect teaser ads for Season 3:
