It’s been 7 weeks since our last podcast and 7 weeks since we last saw each other. You totally thought GMMR and Ducky had called it quits didn’t you? How dare you…
An extended gig in the Hamptons originally sidelined the podcast, then a horrible back injury kept this terrible TV twosome apart until now!
For our first big podcast of the Fall, we thought we’d make up for lost time with a huge 2 hour 10 minute carcast full of laughs, tears, a near death experience and even some New England leaf peeping!
Shows covered in this podcast:
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, BIG BANG THEORY, GOSSIP GIRL, HOUSE, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, THE BIGGEST LOSER, THE GOOD WIFE, V, GLEE, MODERN FAMILY, COUGAR TOWN, TOP CHEF, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, FLASH FORWARD, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, BONES, SUPERNATURAL, FRINGE, THE OFFICE, PARKS & RECREATION, 30 ROCK, COMMUNITY, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, UGLY BETTY, DOLLHOUSE, SOUTHLAND, WHITE COLLAR, THE AMAZING RACE, SURVIVOR, DEXTER, MAD MEN and GREEK.
We hope you enjoy our ode to Fall TV so far this season and hope you’ll join in the conversation. Leave your thoughts on what we covered in the comments section of this post! We’d love to hear what you’ve got to say about the new Fall lineup.
Tonight is a very special SUPERNATURAL. No, it’s not a Christmas special or even the end of the world (been there, done that). Tonight it’s time for the Winchesters to star in their own TV show… or five!
In “Changing Channels”, Sam and Dean are paid a visit from an old “friend” that likes to play tricks. That’s right, the nasty troublemaker from “Mystery Spot” starts messing with the Winchesters but this time something meta this way comes.
Here’s a preview clip from “Changing Channels”:
Now tell me you didn’t scream “THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!” about five times after both Dean and Sam said their “mouth” lines?
I promise you’ll laugh more than you’ve ever laughed at a Supernatural episode before. I promise you some incredible one liners. I promise you some genius television spoofs and I promise you things are not as they seem.
Oh and I promise you some mild spoilers after the jump… (more…)
When I was in LA I was lucky enough to see the cold open for this week’s episode of SUPERNATURAL entitled “The End”.
As you’ll see from the pictures and preview below, Dean’s doing a little timewarp from 2009 to 2014 and in the future there’s a little bit of infected human/zombie action. You’ll also notice that this episode marks the return of “Croatoan“. That’s never a good thing. That pesky plague can wipe out a town overnight so look out Winchesters - you remember what happened back in Season 2 don’t you?
Will “The End” mark the beginning of the actual end for Sam and Dean Winchester? Will the re-emergence of Croatoan bring back anything from Season 2? How will Cas handle what appears to be his new role as Gaius Baltar? Those wacky fallen angels…
I cannot wait for this week’s episode and all I have to say is that my beach house in the Hamptons better have some CW! Yes, I’m going away again… deal with it!
SUPERNATURAL “The End” Episode Summary:
Sam (Jared Padalecki) tells Dean (Jensen Ackles) he wants to rejoin Dean in the battle of the Apocalypse, but Dean tells Sam that they are better off apart. Later, Dean awakens five years in the future in an abandoned city and is attacked by humans who have been infected with a demonic virus that turns humans into Zombies. Zachariah (guest star Kurt Fuller) appears to Dean and explains that this is the world that exists as a result of Dean saying no to helping the angels fight Lucifer. Dean meets up with Future Dean, who tells him that the virus is the Devil’s endgame for destroying mankind. Misha Collins also stars. Steve Boyum directed the episode written by Ben Edlund (#504).

SUPERNATURAL “The End” airs Thursday, October 1st at 9pm on The CW
The premiere of SUPERNATURAL Season 5 “Sympathy for the Devil” is finally here! Tonight at 9pm following the premiere of my new guilty pleasure THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, Sam and Dean Winchester raise Lucifer and have a cup of tea with the nasty little bugger!
It pains me to say this but I can’t watch the season premiere until possibly the 14th. That’s blasphemy, I know!
Tonight is the night before my AIDS Ride so I’ll be without TV, Internet or anything until late on the 13th. Fingers crossed that it hits iTunes before then and possibly I can download and watch on my iPhone some night I don’t just pass out.
Pouring salt into the Winchester withdrawal wound, Warner Bros. has released the following clips from the premiere. *shakes fist* Check them out kids!
Gotta love the hardcore SUPERNATURAL fans and their dedication to all things Jensen and Jared… the newest lovefest comes in the form of Jared Padalecki’s fine ass!
You can view a gallery of Jared’s firm derriere, leave testimonials about your Jared butt dreams, dance along to the catchy tune below or you can SMACK THAT ASS - that’s right kids… you too can smack Jared Padalecki’s ass!
On September 10th we will witness Lucifer rise up and square off with Sam and Dean Winchester (allegedly)… I for one cannot wait to have those boys back in my life and I’m sure you feel the same. So to wet your appetite for destruction, here are a few episode promo pics from “Sympathy for the Devil”, SUPERNATURAL’s Season 5 premiere!
Oh and the girl in the photo… guess who she’s an incarnation of? She’s not a pixie little bitch any longer kids… meet your new Meg (played by Rachel Miner - that’s right Macaulay Culkin’s ex-wife)!
Episode Summary: APOCALYPSE NOW — Picking up where the finale left off, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) watch as the Devil (guest star Mark Pellegrino, “Lost”) emerges from Hell. The brothers and Bobby (Jim Beaver) deal with the aftermath of Lucifer rising and the stunning news from Chuck the Prophet (guest star Rob Benedict) that Castiel (Misha Collins) was blown to bits by the archangels. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Eric Kripke.
This has to be my favorite SUPERNATURAL Season 5 promo video. I love a good subliminal message, especially one that has hot boys, bleeding cribs and Lucifer embedded in it.
In preparation for Season 5 of SUPERNATURAL, The CW wants to catch you up on all things Winchester and their hell raisin’. Its just a lil refresher… another handy dandy video of all the important Season 4 moments you need to remember moving forward. I cannot wait!
Yesterday afternoon, I was on the subway heading over to see GMMR and when I got above ground my Twitter was all a flutter with gossip that Paris Hilton was going to be on SUPERNATURAL.
After I peeled myself off the hood of an oncoming pickup truck, I quick shot an email to my Warner Bros. rep wondering if this shit was for real. Well whether we like it or not gang, the dumbest heiress in the world will be spreading her legs and opening that perty little mouth for something other than a sex tape.
“If anyone ever wanted to see a bloodthirsty Paris attack and kill somebody, this is your chance,” said Kripke, who added that he was “quite frankly shocked that Paris agreed to do it.”
“We wrote the role just for her,” Gamble said. “We’re very excited that she said yes. She plays the role of a demonic creature that takes the form of… Paris Hilton. If you know our style, you know we go pretty funny and irreverent with this stuff, so–expect that. The fact that she wanted to do the episode speaks volumes about her sense of humor. She’s flat-out awesome for playing along. You’ll see.”
I’m not gonna lie, I hate the idea of her coming on as a casting stunt but I never once, not for a single demon second questioned that Kripke would knock it out of the park. I mean, we’re talking about a show that had an episode entitled: “Criss Angel is a Douchebag” - they’ve got a wicked sense of humor and I love them for it. Plus, the reaction that Dean will have to something like Paris Hilton is worth every second we have to endure. So in other words… can’t wait!
So here’s to hoping that demon whore gets the what for in Episode 5, Season 5 of SUPERNATURAL!
I know that I’m a really horrible TV Blogger, I get it and I know it sucks. If I’m not gallivanting here or there, I’m too busy doing X, Y & Z or like this past week… packing and moving. That really puts a huge kink in television viewing which then means I’ve got nothing to blog about.
Trust me, it annoys me more than it annoys y’all. The only thing I can tell you is that Kath (GMMR) and I plan on doing another podcast as soon as possible because we know there’s a ton of stuff to talk about.
What are you all watching? What do you all want to talk about? Should we talk about Jason Stackhouse’s abs (TRUE BLOOD)? Thomas Jane’s monster wang (HUNG)? HARPER’S ISLAND’s newest dead weight? Who’ll become THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR? NURSE JACKIE? WIPEOUT?
Oh no, I’ve got it… THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ’s crazy assedness! While I love the HOUSEWIVES franchise and thoroughly enjoyed New Jersey’s cast, that reunion show was the most boring thing ever!
You know how Dina’s Husband Tommy has never been on the show? Well I got to see him today! Randomly I turned on the tube for a couple minutes and saw Dina and Caroline! It wasn’t Housewives though, it was a 2007 rerun of MY BIG FAT FABULOUS WEDDING! The show chronicled Dina and Tommy’s $1,125,000 750 guest wedding and it was banoodles! I loved seeing little Lexie, roots for days Dina and semi-Kate Gosselin bad hair on Caroline. No sign of Teresa, Jacqueline or whorey mcwhoresalot Danielle.
I hope to be back to regular viewing shortly, in the meantime thanks for being cramazing.

SUPERNATURAL just wrapped up their best season yet and I can’t even begin to wrap my head about the twists and emotional turns from last night’s finale but I’ll try…
Last summer all I could think about was how Dean Winchester would climb his way out of hell and when I saw the Comic-Con footage after interviewing the boys (and the Ghostfacers), I never in a million years would have imagined a divine intervention. Listen to the entire Supernatural Comic-Con 2008 Panel
When the screener landed on my doorstep complete with a bible and a seal to be broken just to watch the premiere, I knew we were in for one hell of a season! Sam spent his summer brushing up on his demon powers while scouring the countryside with Ruby and that bitch Lilith began the cycle of breaking the 66 seals in hopes of bringing the pain. Along the way, Kripke and Co. proved that Supernatural would prove to be funny, entertaining and scary as hell!
We saw that the boys were a little different in High School (“After School Special”), we met, blinded and killed Pamela Barnes (RIP girly), Billie Jean proved she’s still a legend in the seasons creepiest episode (“Family Matters”), the boys found out they’re horror/fantasy/slash fiction icons (“The Monster at the End of This Book”), Dean got the Brother he always wanted (“Sex & Violence”) just before we met their real brother from another Mother in “Jump the Shark”. I never could have predicted that my favorite show would get even better 4 seasons in. Kudos gang.
We were introduced to God’s warriors, the Angels. Castiel (Misha Collins, hands down the best addition to the show aside from Bobby), Uriel (one surly bitch), Anna (glad to see the MAD woMEN working outside the 60’s) and Zachariah (the always awesome Brad Fuller) played and pitted the boys against each other as much as their demon counterparts. The various incarnations of Ruby, Lilith and Alaistair were menacing, relentless, sexy, creepy and in the end scary manipulative in bringing upon the apocalypse.
Throughout the season the boys were double crossed by both sides and ultimately each other. Tensions were high and the body count even higher. When it was all said and done though, SUPERNATURAL proved once again that two Winchesters are better than one (well unless you’re trying to raise Lucifer himself - whoopsy).
In the end, I was shocked to learn that Ruby was the mastermind behind Sam’s demon spiral and that she played that boy like a fiddle for a full year. I didn’t think she had it in her but obviously, trusting a demon bitch like Ruby bit all of us in the ass. I’ve never read the Bible and don’t know God from a Witch’s tit so maybe I should have seen it coming but holy frak, I couldn’t believe Lilith was the final seal and that Zachariah was down with bringing about another war! Quite the shocker for Sam, Dean and yours truly.
I love that Kripke and Co. didn’t shy away from betraying everyone, from having the brothers almost kill each other, from bringing the apocalypse and from raising Lucifer!
There’s been talk that Season 5 will be the last and I’m 100% down with that. The show is so kick ass intense and focused right now that I’d hate to see The CW force more than was intended from Kripke and our beloved Winchesters. I know it will hurt to see them go but wouldn’t it be better to end the show on a creative high and at the creators hand than a networks greed?
Think about it, embrace it and let the Winchester’s enter their hopefully final season as fucking legends!
*Also, just one last mention that Supernatural lost one of their family this year when Kim Manners passed away in January. He was an amazing Director and an incredible force on the show and continues to be missed.
I’m in denial about tonight’s season finale of SUPERNATURAL. This season has been so spectacular that I don’t want it to end.
I don’t like that the boys are at odds when the season started with the Winchester’s working so hard to reunite and to be together. I don’t like that the demons have chosen Sam to fight Lilith and the angels have chosen Dean. I don’t like that they’re fighting the apocalypse from separate sides and with different agendas. I don’t like that
And when I say “I don’t like” I mean that I frakkin’ love it!
There are so many possibilities of ways to end this fantastic season of SUPERNATURAL and I’m not even going to speculate on how it will actually go down. I learned my lesson with LOST… my fears came true on that finale so I’m not even gonna project anything onto the SUPERNATURAL season ender.

Don’t miss the amazing SUPERNATURAL showdown tonight on The CW at 9pm! Can. Not. Wait.
You have no idea how bummed I am that I won’t be able to watch SUPERNATURAL “Jump the Shark” on Thursday, April 23rd. Why you ask? Well, I’ll be knee deep in the 2nd night of The Independent Film Festival of Boston so I promise to watch at some point. In the meantime I’ll have to live vicariously through these preview clips.
*Please let this 3rd Winchester brother thing play out in a way that won’t make me want to throw my flatscreen out the window…
Check out some clips from Supernatural “Jump the Shark”:
I’ve been waiting for this very meta-SUPERNATURAL since I heard about it and I must say, it was well worth the wait!
“The Monster at the End of This Book” plunges Dean and Sam into an investigation where they’re legends of a sort… through a series of books based on their previous investigations. How do Sam and Dean solve a mystery that’s already been written and how do you possibly change an outcome that may or may not come from a higher power?
Here’s the opening of the episode and it’s pretty amazing. Check out the looks on Sam and Dean’s faces when the guy says “LARP(ing)” - it’s pretty genius but nothing is as genius as what comes 3:00 minutes in. Watch and die with squee…
Steve and Dirk, Sal and Dane
Dean: “I’m full frontal in here Dude”
Dean: There are Sam Girls and Dean Girls and… what’s a Slash fan?”
Sam: “As in Sam/Dean… together.”
Dean: “Like together together?”
Sam: “Yeahhhh!”
Dean: “They do know we’re brothers right?”
Sam: “Doesn’t seem to matter”
Dean: “Awww, come on. That’s just sick!”
Dean: “Right now I’m dying on the inside.”
Supernatural Tattoos
I love that Richard (Rob Benedict, FELICITY) is Carver Edlund
Chuck Shirley: “Is this some kind of MISERY thing?”
Chuck Shirley: “Did you really have to live through the bugs?
Sam: “Yes”
Chuck Shirley: “And the Ghost Ship?”
Dean: “Yes, that too”
Chuck Shirley: “I am so sorry. To live through horror is one thing but to live through bad writing…”
More of my favorite moments from “The Monster at the End of This Book” after the jump… (more…)
