Grease’s Sandy and Xanadu’s muse OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN will be reprising her role as a lesbian ex-con in Logo’s new series SORDID LIVES.
Based on a play turned film (now turned series), Sordid Lives is about three generations of a family in a small Texas town preparing for the funeral. According to IMDB, Among the characters are the grandson trying to find his identity in West Hollywood, the son who has spent the past twenty-three years dressed as Tammy Wynette, the sister and her best friend (who live in delightfully kitschy homes), and the two daughters (one strait-laced and one quite a bit looser).
Gay icons like Bonnie Bedelia (Heart Like a Wheel), Rue McClanahan (Golden Girls), Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace’s Beverly Leslie), Beth Grant (Donnie Darko), Candis Cayne (Dirty Sexy Money), Carson Kreesley (Queer Eye) and others will all make appearances or guest star. No wonder it’s on Logo.

After Elton has a hysterical look at the revelations that ex-Grey’s Anatomy but current crazy ass Isaiah Washington will discuss on tonight’s LARRY KING LIVE (tonight 9pm CNN).
Will we learn more about T.R.’s gay agenda? Will we learn the real reasons why Isaiah was fired in the first place? Does he have anger management issues? Does race really play a factor in your firing when you’re not the only person of color on the show or creating the show for that matter?
All this and more when Larry King interviews Isaiah Washington.

What did you do this weekend? Well, thanks for asking. I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon and evening on Saturday night with Margaret Cho, The Gossip, Dresden Dolls, Rufus Wainwright, Debbie Harry, Erasure and the goddess herself Cyndi Lauper. Yeah, Cyndi and I are *like this*!
The True Colors Tour hit Boston and before you can say, that’s friggin’ gay… yes it is my friend. The True Colors Tour was created and cultivated by Cyndi Lauper to be a fun day of music and activism sponsored by the gay themed television channel LOGO and the Human Right Campaign.
I was super excited to be a guest of LOGO (a huge thanks to the the PTB GTB [Gays That Be] from LOGO for hooking a blogger up) and to have the chance to meet Cyndi Lauper in person. No checkerboard orange shaved hair, no plaid skirt, and no cheek pierced Capt. Lou anywhere in sight, but damnit if she isn’t still the most rockin’ alterna-chick out there!
New queer youth icon Beth Ditto and her band The Gossip were up first and they kicked so much ass it wasn’t even funny. I love Beth Ditto, watching her is like witnessing a mashup between Divine in Female Trouble perform Sleater Kinney. She can work a stage and a bedazzled dress 18 sizes too small for her extra large frame like noone’s business.
Local (and personal Ducky) faves The Dresden Dolls were up next and got a standing ovation after their set. Pretty amazing for a sold out show full of people who for the most part are pushing 40 or 50 and there to see aging queen Debbie Harry, 80s popsters Erasure and Cyndi. Granted, its their hometown and they’re on this big ass tour, but still it was pretty amazing to witness! The last couple times I saw them, they playing The Paradise which is no where near the size nor scale of the Bank of America Pavilion. Amanda as always was incredible and a treat for all the gay boys out there, Brian played the whole show in red underwear and that was all folks!
