Remember all those shows we totally forgot to talk about during that last few podcasts? Well, it’s about time we got to them don’t you think? Don’t worry though, we’ve added in a few more recent episodes to talk about as well.
First up is the Season 3 finale of MAD MEN. We’re a couple months late but we just couldn’t ignore it any longer. Next is the recent Season 4 finale of DEXTER. Then we’re on to WHITE COLLAR, BETTER OFF TED, SCRUBS and UGLY BETTY.
You begged, you pleaded and you sent hate mail so we decided to spend some time with the hot boys of SUPERNATURAL. That’s right, the cramazing fall finale is discussed in great length and we may or may not have shed a tear or two for the fallen.
Talk about shedding tears, Ducky talks about DOCTOR WHO’s send off for the brilliant David Tennant. (he’s still a little misty over it all)
Then we’re on to cable shows like JERSEY SHORE, REHAB, ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY and MAN VS FOOD before talking about a possible GLEE burnout.
The TV Talk Podcast with GMMR and Ducky finally tackles more of your listener and reader questions!
First up we tackle the mid-season shows we’re looking forward to (including returning faves): Dollhouse, Cupid, Castle, Leverage, Truth in Advertising, Lost, 24, Battlestar Galactica, Damages, Nip/Tuck.
Don’t forget that some of our favorite summer shows finish off their runs as well… we’re talking The Closer, Burn Notice and My Boys to name a few.
Want to know the fate of Scrubs and The CW’s Reaper and if/when they’ll return? We’ve got the scoop.
What about the DirecTV/NBC split of the amazing Friday Night Lights – are we watching and if so what do we think? First of all, don’t question our loyalty to the Dillon Panthers; Second, just listen.
How did our favorite shows hold up during November sweeps? We’ll cover everything from Heroes to Chuck, Supernatural to The Office so get ready for our picks of the best and worst of fall sweeps, stunts and special guests.
This week Pushing Daisies was canceled – Kath and I give our thoughts. RIP!
So what else could we possibly talk about? Is scaredy-cat Kath watching HBO’s True Blood? What’s the deal with the Arrested Development movie? Why is Tricia Helfer the go-to-gal for guest starring roles and oh sweet lord, why does Britney’s have another reality show?
Last but not least we have another game for you all to play along with at home! This episode we’re breaking hearts and creating our most interesting ’ship!
Oh and you’ll never believe this but in a TV Talk first, we talk about One Tree Hill… WTF?
Fox wants some of NBC’s comedy chops for their own. The Office’s David Denman (Roy) will star in the drama pilot, SAINT OF CIRCUMSTANCE from Scrubs star Zach Braff.
From the Hollywood Reporter:
Braff is in negotiations to direct and executive produce and Denman is set to star in the pilot, which was written by Braff’s brother, Adam.
The project, from ABC Studios, centers on Wayne (Denman), a man going through a midlife crisis who quits his dead-end office job to be a paramedic on the night shift.
Adam Braff also is executive producing “Saint” with ABC Studios-based producer Emile Levisetti.
There is no start date for the pilot, which is expected to film after the end of the writers strike, accommodating Braff’s acting duties on “Scrubs.”
Braff has helmed half a dozen episodes of “Scrubs,” whose seventh and final season has been interrupted by the strike.
On the feature side, Adam and Zack Braff recently adapted the popular children’s book “Andrew Henry’s Meadow” for 20th Century Fox.
Denman, who played a warehouse dock worker and former fiancee of Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) on “Office,” recently guest starred on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.” On the big screen, he next will appear in the Sundance entry “Smart People” as well as “Fanboys” and “Shutter.”
We’re about to enter Week 5 of the WGA Strike so GMMR and I give you the rundown on how many original episodes are left for most shows. We then discuss this season’s plot points thus far as well as whether or not each show is living up to our expectations.
Sit back and relax, it’s our TV Podcast #17 and here are the shows we’ll cover in depth.
Chuck, Prison Break, Heroes, House, Bones, Pushing Daisies, Gossip Girl, Dirty Sexy Money, Private Practice, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Supernatural, Friday Night Lights, The Amazing Race, Brothers & Sisters, Project Runway and more.
