I know that I’m a really horrible TV Blogger, I get it and I know it sucks. If I’m not gallivanting here or there, I’m too busy doing X, Y & Z or like this past week… packing and moving. That really puts a huge kink in television viewing which then means I’ve got nothing to blog about.

Trust me, it annoys me more than it annoys y’all. The only thing I can tell you is that Kath (GMMR) and I plan on doing another podcast as soon as possible because we know there’s a ton of stuff to talk about.

What are you all watching? What do you all want to talk about? Should we talk about Jason Stackhouse’s abs (TRUE BLOOD)? Thomas Jane’s monster wang (HUNG)? HARPER’S ISLAND’s newest dead weight? Who’ll become THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR? NURSE JACKIE? WIPEOUT?

Oh no, I’ve got it… THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ’s crazy assedness! While I love the HOUSEWIVES franchise and thoroughly enjoyed New Jersey’s cast, that reunion show was the most boring thing ever!

You know how Dina’s Husband Tommy has never been on the show? Well I got to see him today! Randomly I turned on the tube for a couple minutes and saw Dina and Caroline! It wasn’t Housewives though, it was a 2007 rerun of MY BIG FAT FABULOUS WEDDING! The show chronicled Dina and Tommy’s $1,125,000 750 guest wedding and it was banoodles! I loved seeing little Lexie, roots for days Dina and semi-Kate Gosselin bad hair on Caroline. No sign of Teresa, Jacqueline or whorey mcwhoresalot Danielle.

I hope to be back to regular viewing shortly, in the meantime thanks for being cramazing.

I’m really torn on how to write this review of last nights Studio 60 as I don’t quite know how I’m feeling about the show. I will freely admit that I am very wishy washy at times and that one day I can love something and the next loathe every last second of it. So, how to proceed?

I guess I’ll start by saying that Harriett’s Dinner ended much like it began, without much direction. The show continues to shove the forced relationship of Harriett and Matt down our throats. For a while I was excited to see this relationship in its varying stages but I don’t really understand the rushed urgency Sorkin and Company have placed upon it. I mean, next week is a flashback episode that will show us how Matt and Harriett met. Do we need that? Maybe. Do we need it now? Doubtful.

I’m over the coupling on the show. I know many folks are into the whole relationship aspects of Studio 60 but I’m far more interested in the politics in putting on a left wing show like Studio 60 and the diverse characters that make up the genius and the flaws within.

I don’t care for or believe Jordan and Danny. I think Jordan was probably correct in thinking Danny is high on something and that’s why he’s so smitten. Didn’t we read a while back that Danny would be going to rehab? Did I make that up? Someone let me know.

Our third couple I can handle… Tom and Lucy. I love Nate Corddry and Lucy Davis and am interested to see these younguns work through their issues. This should be the only relationship on the show that is current and that is emotional on a romantic level. The others just don’t hold the emotional weight and the personal connection with the audience.

What I want from Matt and Harriett is the same thing I want from Danny and Jordan. I want witty banter. I want sexual tension. I want intellectualism. I don’t want typical rom-com stuff which is what I’m fearing Studio 60 is moving towards in hopes of being more relatable and user friendly.

I like my Studio 60 snarky and full of political awareness. Is that too much to ask for?

I want to see more of Harriett’s possible movie career.  I like the exploration of a rising breakthrough artist.  I’m interested in the inner workings and how she handles this aspect of her career.  Bring back Josh Stamberg’s Luke.  I heart me some Josh Stamberg!  Remember him as Sarge on Six Feet Under?  Crazy but hot.  And Harriett’s new film role has her playing opposite Dexter baddie, Christian Camargo as Keith Richards.  Way more interesting than lovey dovey stuff.

There, I’ve said my peace.

HIMYMSuperTonight on How I Met Your Mother the Stuper Bowl madness continues with cross over promotions that I don’t quite agree with over on CBS.  When Barney, who has a lot riding on the game, misses the Super Bowl, he begs football legend Emmitt Smith for the score.  Click here for a preview.

Day 6 continues on 24 as 12:00pm – 1:00pm wages on.  I’ve only seen up until about 11:30pm so I don’t quite know what to tell ya other than two hours ago a frakkin’ nuke went off in LA!  That’s crazy.

Heroes Chapter 14Heroes tells Chapter 14: “Distractions” For a slew of spoiler pics from tonights episode, click here and visit my friends over at Got-Heroes.com!  I cannot wait to see Sylar head on over to the Bennett household.  I worry about that dog.  I worry everytime we see that dog that its days are numbered. Also, we got some serious George Takai to deal with tonight.  What are the chances that he’s some mob head or something?  Nothing better than some HEROES!

Studio 60 has Part 2 of “Harriett’s Dinner.”  And regardless of what my friends Brian and Nancy have to say,  I still love me some Harriett.  I can’t wait to see how cutie patootie Tom gets away from that damn girl.  She’s C-to-the-razy.

TOP TV MOMENTS

So it’s really hard to pick a handful of moments that make up the best parts of television 2006 but I’ll do my best. Plus, you know I’m forgetting a thousand of them as who can really remember all the moments that make us love tv over 365 days of a year and a couple dozen shows we watch? In short, these are the ones that stand out for me. Feel free to weigh in on yours.

*no particular order

- Jeffrey Dean Morgan lives and dies on both Grey’s and Supernatural. He’s just a tv gem.
- Ana Lucia and Libby are shot by Michael on LOST. I freaked!
- Ivan and Alison dance to Annie Lenox’s “Why” on So You Think You Can Dance and I cry.
- “My Name Is Cassidy” – Beaver’s swan song on the Season 2 finale of Veronica Mars.
- Opening Scene of LOST Season 3. We met Juliet in her own Wisteria living sitch.
- Alice stalking Dana in the car on The L Word.
- Any moment with Jade on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 6. God she was brilliant.
- Andy and Jim’s acapella Indigo Girls sing-a-long which led to my favorite term of the year: “Tuna, you gotta be kidding me!”
- The opening sequence of the premiere of Studio 60. Judd Hirsch’s speech is superb.
- Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton play the best parents and couple (Friday Night Lights) since Sandy and Kirsten’s OC heyday.

and finally, probably my favorite moment of the 2006 tv season…

The final 10 minutes of Battlestar Galactica Season 2’s finale. It changed the tone and mood of the show and blew my frakkin’ mind!

Here’s to more great moments in 2007!

It’s a happy week! First we take over the House and Senate, now America is given a second chance at intelligent and poignant drama!

Despite all the cancellation rumors, Studio 60 has been given a full 22 episode order and I’m frakkin’ excited! We’ll get to see more Crazy Christians, and we’ll be able to start tracking the baby bump on Amanda Peet.

Hazaa!
