SURVIVOR: CHINA debuts Thursday, September 20th at 8pm on CBS.

SURVIVOR: CHINA will feature a cast of 16 Americans who will begin the series amid the bustle of downtown Shanghai before moving to HuangPu Mountain’s Mi Tuo Temple for a Buddhist ceremony where they will be instructed to leave all of their worldly possessions behind. The castaways will then be marooned with the clothes on their back at two separate islands on Zhelin Lake (translation: the Land of 1,000 Lakes) located in the Jiangxi Province. They will split into two tribes, Fei Long (translation: Flying Dragon) and Zhan Hu (translation: Fighting Tiger), and will each be given a copy of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War for tribe motivation and assistance throughout the game.

SURVIVOR: CHINA will once again afford each tribe the opportunity to obtain a Hidden Immunity Idol which may save someone from elimination at a future Tribal Council. This time, two Hidden Immunity Idols will be in plain sight (one at each camp), although the castaways will not realize this at the start of the game.

**Each week, the winning tribe of the Reward Challenge will be allowed to kidnap someone from the losing tribe. The person who is kidnapped will receive a note from host Jeff Probst before departing for the enemy camp and will be instructed to give it to one member of the enemy tribe (the kidnapped victim will decide who receives it) in private. The clue will inform this person of the Hidden Immunity Idol located somewhere at their camp. This person must then decide if they wish to share the information with their tribe or keep it to themselves. The kidnapped victim will return to their original tribe at the following Immunity Challenge.

American Idol sent another one packing last night and it wasn’t Sanjaya Malakar or Skanknato!

Okay, so I have to say that I kinda feel guilty for Gina Glocksen going home. Not completely mind you, because I did vote for her for the last three weeks. It just so happens that I also voted for Sanjaya The Magnificant every time as well.

Gina didn’t deserve to go. Period. With a talentless slutty ho like Scarnato standing next to you, you always expect her to go down… get it, she’s slutty… going “down”…

Fine…

What annoys me about Idol and these kids and this damn Tour is that people like Gina can’t be honest and when Seacrest asks her how she feels, she can’t look at the camera and say: “I think it’s crap that I’m going home when talentless twits like Scarnato and Mangina Malakar are still here!”

Alas, this is not what Idol is about. Idol needs to toughen up. Idol needs to work like Top Chef or Survivor where people are not afraid to backstab each other and tell the god’s honest truth!

It would be much more enjoyable, don’t you think?

Oh and did I call it or what with my last post? Tony Bennett is so on death’s door. Was anyone surprised when Seacrest said Tony B. came down with the flu and couldn’t perform? He’s probably laid up in a hyperbolic chamber being fed placenta through an IV to regain his strength and youthfulness. Buble was not a call away, I can tell you that. There was never any intention of Tony singing last night. Mark My Words!

What?  I swear I must be sicker than I thought because I had no clue that Survivor was coming back tonight.  I’m always so torn as to watch or not to watch Survivor each season.  Last season’s racist island escapades made me not tune in and then I missed out on the dumb hotness that was JP Calderon.  We all know he came out of the closet recently so I wish I would have seen him starved and half naked for a couple months.  That’s all I’m sayin.

Now comes word that a contestant quit the day before filming?  Where the hell have I been?

Anyway, Probst and a bunch of newbies begin the game tonight and I think I might be all over it.  Let you know later.

So if you’ve been watching Janice Dickinson’s Modeling Agency (and you so should be) you’ve seen the mad previews they’ve been showing in which INSTINCT magazine wants Survivor’s JP Calderon as their cover model.

There’s a catch… Instinct only features out gay males on their cover.  JP was accepted into Janice’s agency and seriously the bods slamming and the boys hot.  It’s never come up as to whether or not he’s gay.  To my knowledge it didn’t come up on Survivor either but damn, it’s come up now.

It’s a huge job for JP but first Janice has to propose the cover and somehow ask him if he’s gay.  It’s actually a really awkward moment for all involved.  You’d think Janice would just scream it out but she is really nervous and kind in the way she does it.  So she dances around the Instinct deal for a few, then drops the stipulations and tells him that there’s also a cover story involved and a big layout on the inside so its more than just the cover…

But he has to be openly gay.  He looks at the magazine nervously.  He starts wringing his hands together and eventually starts stuttering and tearing up as he tries to talk with Janice.  It’s heartbreaking to watch and then they CUT!  The episodes over!

I can’t imagine a straight boy modeling would be offended by this so he HAS to be closeted or wrestling with the idea and has never come out or talked about it publicly.  Why else would you get so out of it?  I mean, its really hard to watch, he turns into a 12 year old boy right in front of our eyes and you just wanna hug him.

Anyway, CAN’T WAIT until next week!

TVGuide reports that the SURVIVOR FIJI tribes will originally be one huge massive group until Day 3 when 1 member will be chosen to split the teams into 2.  Before the split, they will be given enough materials to make a sweet ass camp that unfortch only 1 of the tribes will remain at.  The other tribe heads to a different island where they only have a pot, a machete, and a water supply.  Ouch. There are also 2 Immunity Idols this time. One at each Camp and Exile Island will have clues to find them.

I’ve also heard that one of the Fiji tribes women is the sister of Project Runway 2 star Nick Verreos.  Her name is Rita and was once a professional ballerina and former Miss Venezuela.  That family’s full of QUEENS!
