90210 is in full effect kids, music and all. God I hope it’s more Gossip Girl than it is cheese city. Fingers crossed.

We said we’d be back with another TV Talk Podcast in a week but it took almost a week and a half, I think you survived just fine. GMMR was at the Upfront presentations so there’s plenty to talk about including her celebrity sightings, stalkings, and dancing partners. We’ll even talk about Joss Whedon’s DOLLHOUSE and J.J. Abrams FRINGE starring GMMR’s mega crush Josh Jackson. So You Think You Can Dance might get a couple minutes or five along with her time with The Office and Tina Fey!

Back to your regularly scheduled podcast, we head right into GOSSIP GIRL, AMERICAN IDOL, THE OFFICE, GREY’S, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and more. Plus, it’s the return of TWO IDIOTS TALK LOST (*we talk about the finale being this week but listener Michael pointed out that it’s not until May 29th - phew!) where we rehash the first hour of the three hour Season 4 finale, once again proving that even idiots can enjoy Lost. And as a bonus feature, we have a special guest to help us talk about the Season 3 finale of The CW’s SUPERNATURAL.

Sit back and relax because this Podcast almost hits 90 minutes. You read that right, 90 minutes of babbling, giggling, bitching, and TV Talk!

CBS didn’t waste time getting The CW’s first 90210 cast photo online! Here’s the new gang from West Beverly High (sans new Guidance Counselor, Ms. Kelly Taylor aka Jennie Garth).

The CW’s 90210 Cast Photo (Upfronts)
    Photo: Frank Ockenfels/ The CW

    They are from left:
Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Walter, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Lori Loughlin, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup and Michael Steger

PS - How hot is Lori Loughlin for being like 100? Love that lady. Oh and Jessica Walters better not disappoint. I expect her drunk and belligerent because that’s how I like her. Shenae Grimes aka Degrassi’s Darcy… girl you know I love you and this makes my heart swell with gay pride that one of my Degrassi kids is making it big time (I hope).

TV Talk with GMMR and Ducky is back! After 7 weeks, we were finally able to see each other and dish all the dirt on our favorite shows.

Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, House, Gossip Girl, American Idol, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Brothers & Sisters, So You Think You Can Dance, Ugly Betty, Greek and so much more.

We take some last minute listener questions on which finale’s we’re most looking forward to and also which hot summer movies our fave TV stars are popping up in. Not to mention Kath gets to wax The Office finale after one Canadian listener begs for finale information.

Also, be on the lookout for the return of TWO IDIOTS TALK LOST! We watch the show but we’re not experts, sue us.

SUPERNATURAL Scoop: Season 3 Ends With Ghosts, Organs and Hell

Hey Supernatural fans, yet another good thing came out of my trip to LA for Paley this week. I got some great Supernatural scoop to share with you guys!

Just as I was leaving Los Angeles, it was announced that Jared Padalecki will be starring in the upcoming Friday the 13th remake (booo but yeah, damn I’m torn) but before he can face off with (Mrs.?) Voorhees, he and Jensen may have to face hell first.

As we all know, Supernatural has been picked up for Season 4 and the back 4 episodes of Season 3 will begin on April 24th.

  • The first episode back went into production last Thursday, Episode 3.13 “Ghostfacers.” It will feature a reality show that the boys get wrapped up into when the case they’re investigating also happens to be the focus of a new reality show hosted by Season 1’s “Hell House” boys Harry & Ed (played by Travis Wester and A.J. Buckley). Apparently there’s a whole crew that now works with these two idiots and it makes for quite the show.
  • Episode 3.15 will dip into John Winchester’s past as something from Supernatural: Origins comics comes to life on the small screen. A certain “organ stealing” baddie will make an appearance and I’m frakkin’ excited about it… Get me a Doc stat!
  • And finally, Episode 3.16 will serve as the Season 3 finale and according to Kripke: “Dean’s deal comes due, time’s up, and we’ll pay off whether or not he goes to hell.”
  • I’m so excited for the show to return in a couple weeks and it sounds like there are some great things in store. Don’t forget to tune in on April 24th and don’t forget to check back later this week for some Supernatural Giveaways (click here to enter and win)!

Daniel Radcliffe to return in Harry Potter 6

Holy Horcrux Dumbledore! Finally, Warner Bros. is doing something that they needed to do for quite a few films… Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be split into 2 films! Sure it’s a little late *cough* Book 4 *cough* but I’ll take it. This is the best possible news for the Potter franchise.

    According to The Hollywood Reporter:

Titled “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” the movies are set to be released in November 2010 and May 2011.

David Yates — who is directing the adaptation of the sixth novel, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and is slated to helm the seventh film — will direct both movies, which will be shot back-to-back. Steve Kloves, who has written all but one of the “Potter” movies, also is returning to write the two-parter.

90210 Spin Off Is Sheer Hell
Back in TV news, the announcement was recently made that a Class of Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off is in the works. Seriously, this is the end times y’all. I don’t care how you spin this, it’s hideous news.

People are all excited that Veronica Mars‘ helmer Rob Thomas is in talks to write the Pilot but I’m not getting behind this one no matter who they cast. If Kristen Bell herself was headlining, I don’t think I could watch. Well, it would pain me but damnit I would try not to watch!

The only way I see this thing taking off is if Emily Valentine is the star and the show is about a psycho girl that kills rich kids after befriending them… a black comedy/satirical take on the youths obsession with folks like Paris Hilton and their secret desire to watch bad things happen to them. Bad CW, bad…

Ducky and GMMR Attend Paley 2008

Finally, in a couple hours I’m on a flight to Los Angeles to attend the Paley fest with GMMR for the week. It should be a blast, I just can’t wait to get there and be done with the tension/anticipation of getting out there. It’s been such a crazy week so it will be nice to have all of that behind me.

I’m hoping to watch LOST on the flight and fingers crossed there are no scenes from the Pilot episode recreated! Plus, I took advantage of my friend Amy’s BDay iTunes Gift Card and bought Season 1 of UGLY BETTY to watch while I’m away. I can’t wait! So excited to finally get into this show. I’ll keep you updated on Project Ugly Betty as Kath has Project Buffy!

We’ll be doing regular (almost nightly) podcasts from Paley so there will be plenty of reasons to check back while I’m gone. It’s a working vacation of sorts, as I’ll be online most days doing my day job as well. Pictures of me all over Kyle Chandler, Lee Pace and Zac Levi - don’t you worry I’ll post them!

Follow me on Twitter while I’m away for fun updates as well.

Until I’m a little more slightly Left of center….

    SUPERNATURAL Renewed - Season 4

Today The CW announced that SUPERNATURAL will return for a 4th season next fall! The Winchesters will live to kick some demon ass another day. Jared honey, we’re all smiles too!

Also renewed was another Ducky fave GOSSIP GIRL! Smallville, Everybody Hates Chris, One Tree Hill and Top Model were also renewed for the 2008-2009 season.

    WGA Strike Signs

We all knew this was coming so no one should be surprised that other networks are following CBS’ lead in dropping the number of pilot scripts they’re looking at for the upcoming fall television season. FOX and THE CW make some cuts to both their comedy and drama lineups.

    Per The Hollywood Reporter:

Fox and the CW on Tuesday followed CBS’ lead and cut their development slates. Fox let go of about two dozen scripts, while the CW dropped about a dozen.

ABC is said to be close to implementing a similar slate reduction, while NBC has been mum about its plans.

The Fox scripts are said to be about evenly split between comedy and drama. Most of them hail from Fox’s main supplier, 20th Century Fox TV, including a drama from writer Josh Berman and a comedy from writer Rob Hanning. Also affected are projects from Warner Bros. TV — including a comedy from the Wayans brothers — as well as ABC Studios, Sony Pictures TV and CBS Paramount Network TV.

“In the current environment, we’ve been forced to take a hard look at our needs for the upcoming season, and as a result we’re going to target a more focused range of projects,” Fox said.

The CW, which also cut comedy and drama scripts, issued a similar statement.

“Due to the ongoing work stoppage, the CW will be taking a more targeted approach to what is certain to be a truncated pilot season,” the network said. “As a result, we are releasing some scripts that had been in development in order to dedicate our creative energy and resources to those projects we choose to pursue.”

    Gossip Girl on The CW

Hello Upper East Siders, I just received the following message from Gossip Girl herself. It appears that we’ll be able to relive the adventures of S and B, Nate, Chuck and those Humphrey’s all over again, from the beginning! They’re moving to Monday’s at 8/9c so mark it in your iCal. Apparently you’re not going to want to miss out either because The CW will be airing never before seen footage as well as cast interviews to make the gossip that much juicier!

    Here’s the 411:

The CW Network invites die-hard fans and new viewers to catch the hit freshman drama GOSSIP GIRL from the very beginning with a special, 90-minute GOSSIP GIRL REVEALED, on Monday, January 28 (8:00-9:30 p.m. ET), hosted by the stars of GOSSIP GIRL and featuring the series premiere as well as exclusive, never-before-seen bonus material.

In addition to airing the pilot episode in its entirety, The CW will offer an enhanced GOSSIP GIRL experience to passionate devotees and the uninitiated wanting to see how the phenomenon began. During the broadcast, viewers will go behind the scenes for in-depth conversations with TV’s hottest cast, including Blake Lively (“Serena van der Woodsen”), Leighton Meester (“Blair Waldorf”), Penn Badgley (“Dan Humphrey”), Chace Crawford (“Nate Archibald”), Taylor Momsen (“Jenny Humphrey”), Ed Westwick (“Chuck Bass”), Kelly Rutherford (“Lily van der Woodsen”), Matthew Settle (“Rufus Humphrey”) and Jessica Szohr (“Vanessa”). Additional bonus material includes never-before-seen footage from the series, profiles of the players and the wannabes in the GOSSIP GIRL world, featurettes on the GOSSIP GIRL fashion and music, and much more.

In the following weeks, The CW will air all of the GOSSIP GIRL episodes in consecutive order every Monday!

    Sounds like fun!

Supernatural 3.09 “Malleus Maleficarum” - Jared Padaleck (1)

*Updated Jan. 22, 2007: Below is the most up to date schedule for the final 4 episodes of SUPERNATURAL. Note the episode swap for 3.11 and 3.12 (and the toss in of a repeat for good fun).

I’m really glad that so many people have been willing to send emails to the CW urging them to support our favorite show, SUPERNATURAL! The comments I’ve received have all been positive and even more of you have personally emailed me so I thank you for being demon hunting activists.

I’m happy to bring you the final 4 Supernatural episode airdates and titles! The show returns much sooner than we expected, sadly it’s going up against my favorite castaways of LOST.

Episode 3.09 - “Malleus Maleficarum1/31 (See episode pictures here)
Episode 3.10 - “Dream A Little Dream Of Me” 2/7
*Episode 3.11 - “Mystery Spot” 2/14 (originally “Jus In Bello” was to air on the 14th)
*Repeat: “Nightshifter” 2/21 8/7c (originally aired in Season 2)
*Episode 3.12 - “Jus In Bello” 2/21 9/8c (originally filmed as 3.11 but will air as possible finale)

Once again, The CW has not canceled SUPERNATURAL it has removed it from the schedule once their last original episode has aired on February 21st. It’s still upsetting that they won’t allow the show to continue to grow new viewers by airing more repeats.

Gossip Girl - A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate (4)

GOSSIP GIRL aired it’s last episode tonight and sadly I don’t have a ton of time to recap the pickle these kids got themselves into so I thought I’d share with you the actual typed notes I was taking when I watched this episode a couple weeks ago. It’s a look inside the brain of a 12 year old obsessed tv blogger.

  • How’s teen pregrancy for gossip fodder? Primo! Seems S is like a defective typewriter and being the biggest IT girl in town means everyone knows.
  • Dan Humphrey proves he’s the dumbest and most chivalrous man in NYC.
  • Jenny Humphrey stands up to B’s hazing antics and storms off just in time for Serena to swoop in and reveal who’s really missing their period. Are B and Bass expecting child? God I love scandal.
  • B continues to overcompensate with Nate and the doting girlfriend act is getting old, just ask that stalking Bass.
  • Back at casa Humphrey, a romantic dinner between S and D is a little awkward since D confessed his love earlier. Too bad Dan’s being a little to self absorbed to realize that S’s issue is with the denial diva B. S confesses B’s deepest and darkest, little do they know that Lil J’s just around the corner soaking every juicy word in. Whoops.
  • Becks, the art dealer from the pilot reappears and asks Rufus out on a date. Back in the saddle again!
  • S shows up at Chuck’s place asking for his help in confronting B only to discover that she’s been left in the dark about her romp in the sack with Nate. Time for a catfight? Sadly, Mrs. Waldorf overhears and thinks her daughter’s “condition” has reappeared. Close but no cigar. Wrong upchucking condition.
  • Things go from bad to worse when a pre-school standoff with Bass leads to B’s dirty laundry being aired out all over Gossip Girl. Think she would have learned by now.
  • Nate asks Jenny if GG is true and figuring she doesn’t need B anymore, she tells Nate all the gory details which leads to the most homo moment of GG to date, a Nate and Chuck tussle for all to see. Could Chuck be more the jilted lover? Get a room.
  • Nate comes home to find B begging for forgiveness but instead she ends up alone with the knowledge that Lil J sold her out. When she tries to take Jenny down in front of her cronies, a new Queen has already taken the reigns and she’s learned from the best because it’s a nasty battle of words and once again B’s left with the sting of her own venom. Like the new Queen tells Lil J, B trained them all well. Too bad all this new popularity is once again getting to Jenny’s head, she’s no longer the grunt or the gopher, sadly she has no problem letting newbie Lil E know that. How far you’ve fallen Jenny Humphrey in your rise to the top.
  • Lonely and pathetic, B tries to butter up to Chuck, taking him for the fool he’s not quite ready to be. Luckily, he’s gone all Logan Echolls on us calls B “Rode hard, put away wet.” Betcha that stings.
  • B runs home and convinces her Mother that she needs a semester in Paris but S confronts B helicopter side and cons her into not running. It’s full circle as S reminds B of what it was like when she ran away and how she reinvented herself amidst all the gossip.

B might be tougher than we thought Upper East Siders, scandal’s got a new name and a new face. I wouldn’t want to be in the wake of Hurricane Waldorf.

    How does it end?

“One good scandal deserves another, wonder who’s going down next? Everybody is B has anything to say about it. You know you love me. xoxox Gossip Girl”

There were some incredible moments in this episode. I loved Jenny standing up to Blair but then I hated Jenny for not doing what she promised Dan back in the pilot, not changing who she is. She had a big chance to change the social order of those over-privileged bitches but instead tucked her tail and carried on the rotten tradition.

I really liked the idea of coming full circle with Serena growing up some and having the chance to convince Blair not to make the same mistakes she made but I wish it didn’t come across so hokey.

That fight? Brilliantly lame. I now feel like I could take Nate, rip all his clothes off and slam him against the trunk of a car… wait, sorry!

Could Dan be more of a wet blanket? He’s such a sucker and I want him to move on. I want him to not be so in love of Serena. And Serena… I want her to just take a moment to breathe and not be trying to fix everything because I know she’s not like 2 months clean of being the next Britney.

Why oh why can we not have Rufus and Lily together? That’s driving me insane as I heart those two wacky lovebirds.

Blair’s return to school and the revenge she’ll enact is going to be devilishly sweet. I look forward to that most my friends!

So what did you think? Love it? Hate it? Sad this is it until God knows when?

Hey Upper East Siders, Ducky here urging you to watch tonight’s probable season finale of GOSSIP GIRL entitled “A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate.”

SUPPORT SUPERNATURAL: Let The CW Know You’re Mad As Hell

Good morning SUPERNATURAL fans! I wanted to take a moment to see how you all feel about The CW’s treatment of our favorite duo, the Winchesters, and see if you’re up for taking action. As you know, they have removed Supernatural from the mid-season schedule. There are a couple new episodes to still air but at this time there is no air date for them.

So this leaves me with some worries and honestly, this is a tricky situation because if there was no WGA Strike and the show was pushing forward as usual, I 100% believe that The CW would NOT be removing the show from their lineup. But when you think about it, Supernatural remains one of the least promoted shows on the network and it survives on our loyalty and word of mouth alone so maybe it’s time they start showing Supernatural the same respect they give Smallville and Top Model.

I don’t know that we need to send peanuts or pencils but I would like to urge readers to send an email to The CW letting them know how disappointed you are with their decision to remove Supernatural from their mid-season schedule. Don’t let Supernatural become the next Veronica Mars!

You can send emails to: feedback@cwtv.com

Just let them know you love The Winchesters and you want the show back on the air. Remember that repeats are a great chance to gain new viewers!

*UPDATE: I just spoke to my Supernatural Superdiva and she wanted to make sure everyone knew that the show is NOT canceled, it is just going on hiatus due to the strike. No one thought it was canceled by my wording did they? Hope not. I’m just really frustrated with the treatment of the show. Plus, I was able to get the airdates of the last 4 episodes. Stay tuned…

One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush - Season 5 Premiere

ONE TREE HILL returns tonight, I can promise you I won’t be watching but that doesn’t mean I won’t pimp it for my folks at The CW. I’m intrigued to see if OTH can pull off the 4 year jump which will at least have them playing closer to their real age. It’s a desperate move by the showrunners and if this show can make it work, I think we’ll see this trend continue with other “coming of age” teen dramas.

To kick off the season premiere tonight, you can win a walk on role and visit the set in Wilmington, NC. If you don’t like One Tree Hill you can at least tour the studio and the outdoor locales that Dawson’s Creek utilized. Details below…

The CW, Macy’s and the Warner Bros. Television Group are offering eight passionate ONE TREE HILL fans the opportunity of a lifetime – a chance to win a walk-on role and spend a star-filled weekend with the cast in Wilmington, North Carolina, where the series is filmed. ONE TREE HILL season five premieres on Tuesday, January
