On today’s Oprah, T.R. Knight composed a video serenade to his BFF and Grey’s Anatomy co-star Katherine Heigl. It’s awkward but adorable and big props to T.R. for using the Oprah forum to encourage Gay Marriage!

Grey’s Anatomy’s T.R. Knight didn’t quite come out on National Coming Out Day (October 11th) but he came out regardless and I heart him for that. As part of GLAAD’s media campaign, T.R. Knight has recorded a PSA that shows he has fully embraced his status as a gay icon and is speaking publicly about the rights and the respect owed to those in the coming out process.

Finally, ABC has released a couple of GREY’S ANATOMY Season 4 Promos and I hate to admit it, it’s got me psyched, seriously.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 4 Sneak Peek – Our Ex-Interns Meet The Newbies:

Another Sneak Peek at Grey’s Anatomy Season 4:

How crazy is it to see George as an Intern, working under Meredith? It’s humiliating to watch… I love it! Christina is trying to become the new Nazi and it’s hysterical. Alex’s hair is bothersome. Izzie’s deflation at realizing those interns don’t already know to follow her was just superb. Heigl, I loves ya!

With Private Practice shaping up to be a huge flop (sadly, the pilot sucks) and Isaiah out of the way, I guess I can look forward to Grey’s Anatomy again.

GREY’S ANATOMY has a big mountain to climb as it enters its 4th season on ABC. As you know, I’ve had my ups and downs with the show but I’m willing to give it another shot.

Here are the newest cast photos of TR Knight, Eric Dane, Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers and newbie Chyler Leigh as Meredith’s sister Lexie Grey. For some reasons the photos of Sara Ramirez and Patrick Dempsey are not new ones. If those are released I will post them asap!

Seriously, how cute does TR look? Love the picture of Sandra Oh as well. Looking good! Being free of Burke looks like it’s doing her some good!

    Season 4 Premise:
Entering their first year as residents after passing their intern exams, Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens and Alex Karev now have interns of their own to mentor. Among the new crop of interns are George (forced to repeat his internship after failing his exams) and Lexie Grey, Meredith’s half-sister.

Overseeing the residents is the newly-appointed Chief Resident, Callie Torres. With the no-nonsense Miranda Bailey earning the interns’ respect over the past year, the new residents are finding it difficult to report to someone else, particularly George’s wife.

Bailey, who is displeased with Dr. Webber after he chose Callie for Chief Resident over her, must find her bearings within the hospital pecking order. While she finds her footing, Webber resumes his position as Chief of Surgery, doing his best to maintain a work/life balance for the sake of his recently-reunited marriage.
Two weeks after being left by her fiancé on her wedding day, Cristina returns to the hospital from her honeymoon accompanied by Meredith, who badly needed an escape of her own after her relationship with Derek Shepherd hit an emotional impasse. Cristina relies on what she always has – her ability as a surgeon – to cope with the break-up.

Mark Sloan wishes to renew his friendship with his old friend, Derek, who could sorely use a friend after Addison’s move, Burke’s resignation and his rocky relationship with Meredith.

The doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital deal with life-or-death consequences on a daily basis – it’s in one another that they find comfort, friendship and, at times, more than friendship. Together they’re discovering that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white. Real life only comes in shades of grey.

Grey’s Anatomy premieres Thursday, September 27th at 9pm.

Don’t forget to watch Addison’s spin-off Private Practice on Wednesday’s.

I almost forgot the Emmy nominations were this morning. Silly me. There are some fun additions to this years Emmy list and sadly there are still a few head scratching oldies thrown in for good measure.

Grey’s Anatomy will be entering its 4th season this fall and love or hate it, the show must go on. TVSquad has compiled a list of SPOILERS for the upcoming season (and some from the end of Season 3) and it’s a fun read.

Head on over to TV Squad for Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers

While this is not really a spoiler, its good to see that Kristin over at E! is reporting that Shonda Rhimes is in a pickle about what to do with the hideously bad pairing of George and Izzie. Amen Shonda, I hope you have nightmares over it because its hands down one of the worst things you’ve allowed happen on the show. FIX IT! Period.

After Elton has a hysterical look at the revelations that ex-Grey’s Anatomy but current crazy ass Isaiah Washington will discuss on tonight’s LARRY KING LIVE (tonight 9pm CNN).

Will we learn more about T.R.’s gay agenda? Will we learn the real reasons why Isaiah was fired in the first place? Does he have anger management issues? Does race really play a factor in your firing when you’re not the only person of color on the show or creating the show for that matter?

All this and more when Larry King interviews Isaiah Washington.

TV Guide is reporting that ex-Grey’s Anatomy star (but still currently unemployed) Isaiah Washington claims that Patrick Dempsey agrees that T.R. Knight should have been fired instead of Washington.

Wha-Wha-Wha-What you ask? Apparently T.R. has become such a bitch on set that he not only demanded Washington be fired but he demanded that his character be beefed up to leading man status…

Washington even says that no less than “McDreamy” would concur. Positing that Knight had been “very tactical” in seeking to get Washington — if not Patrick Dempsey, as well — off the ABC drama, Washington tells gay-rights activist/BET host Keith Boykin, “I know Patrick Dempsey has supported me by stating that if there is anyone that needs to be fired, it is T.R. Knight, because he has created such a negative environment on the set.” (TVGuide.com has in a request for comment from Dempsey’s publicist.)

At the crux of Knight’s alleged campaign is a feeling that “he has not been treated and given the same ‘leading man’ kinds of story lines” as his peers playing Burke and Derek, that “[George] was being treated very caricature-ish and dopey,” says Washington. Empowered by his costar’s semi-private (and then very public) use of the F-word, Knight leveraged his bosses into beefing up his role. Says Washington, “That’s why you see his character changing so significantly,” becoming this “uber he-man that’s sleeping with everyone.”

Washington says that Shonda Rhimes and the Grey’s brass “are not happy” about Knight’s alleged tactics, and “think that something has gone awfully awry with [T.R.'s] stability.” “I can freely say this now, because I am no longer a Disney employee and I am no longer gagged,” Washington says. “Everyone [from] the producers all the way up to [the studio] is very disappointed in the behavior of T.R. Knight.”

    Isaiah Washington

So what do you all think? Is our little T.R. a T.Y.R.A.N.T.? God, it would explain the crap storylines George found himself in for most of Season 2 wouldn’t it? I knew Shonda couldn’t have written such drivel. Or did she?

Ladies and Gentleman, Dr. Preston Burke has left the building. According to E!, the brewhaha over “the F word” paid off for T.R. Knight in more ways than one.

    Isaiah Washington

ABC Television Studio confirmed to E! News Thursday that Isaiah Washington will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy this fall. Publicist Howard Bragman said that Washington got a call earlier in the day informing him that he was “not invited back to the show next season,” prompting this Network-inspired statement from the 43-year-old actor:“I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore.”

Just the other day, out and proud actor T.R. Knight (Dr. George O’Malley) was awarded a salary increase for Season 4 and then handed this on a silver platter. I can only imagine no matter how horrible the situation was that there is some sadness along with the good news that there are consequences to your actions of homophobia.

I hate to admit it, but I finally reached the point in Grey’s where I didn’t look at Dr. Burke as the semi-hate monger Washington. I actually started to like his character for the first time in 3 years toward the end of the whole wedding debacle. You know I’ve wanted Burke gone since Day 1 so please don’t be like, oh look at Dan jumping on the Let Burke Go bandwagon, honey I build the cart and fed the horses of that bandwagon…

I honestly didn’t expect this, wow! The E! article says it best though:

Actually, considering how angry ABC seemed right after Washington uttered an antigay slur backstage at the Golden Globe Awards in January—while denying he had ever called costar T.R. Knight such a thing last October during an argument with Patrick Dempsey—it was surprising that Washington lasted as long as he did.
So, it almost makes the studio’s decision not to re-up his contract a surprise, considering he hadn’t been tossed thus far.

My thoughts exactly… Season 4 will be different huh?

     Sandra Oh, Grey’s Anatomy

What is my problem tonight. First I cry during Part 1 of Supernatural (from last week watched early tonight), then The Office slays me, now I just finished the last two hours of Grey’s Anatomy for the season and I’m a puddle.

    Seriously, I need some meds.

I’ve bitched and moaned for the last four months that Grey’s Anatomy had run itself into the ground. It had not only jumped sharks, but ferry boats, and the afterlife. I was so mad and disgusted with the direction of Grey’s that I lost hope in what was once one of my favorite shows on television.

Last week’s episode and tonight’s episode watched back to back restored my faith in Shonda Rhimes, the cast, the crew, and the world that is Seattle Grace. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very upset about the Ferry debacle, and the whole George/Izzie crap but damnit… for two hours, the last two hours of this frustrating season I found peace and hope once again and remembered why I loved the show in the first place.

It’s honest, sometimes horribly disfiguringly honest and it’s emotional and real and it makes me cry and want to feel and want to experience the fictional lives of these interns on a recurring basis.

If I can somehow forgive a good 9 episodes, I think I can find my way back to a show that really has the potential to be one of the most heartfelt dramas around.

I remember how excited I was at this time last year when that really funny upfronts video came out with the men of Grey’s in the shower. I remember how I cried sitting at my desk at work when the promo video for The Fray’s “How to Save a Life” hit the internet and how insanely crazed I was for the third season to start.

I remember crying my eyes out as Izzie lay on the floor of the bathroom in her prom dress and Meredith came and they clutched hands and just squeezed the pain away.

These are the memories I want of Grey’s and Shonda and Co. managed to bring me there again for these last two hours. I appreciate that and I hope that it’s a sign of good things to come.

    Now, onto the finale thoughts…

While I was at it I decided to show some further support for my Georgie… T.R. Knight.  If you love George O’Malley, find actor T.R. Knight’s coming out admirable why not show the world?  If you think his going on ELLEN was couragous and you want to further show your support for TR, why not sport a TEAM TR shirt?

In a “Network Publicist” released statement, Isaiah “The F Word” Washington is apologizing for the original and the more recent incidents that have caused chaos amongst Grey’s fans and obviously among the Grey’s cast.

“I apologize to T.R., my colleagues, the fans of the show and especially the lesbian and gay community for using a word that is unacceptable in any context or circumstance,” Washington said.

“By repeating the word Monday night, I marred what should have been a perfect night for everyone who works on Grey’s Anatomy. I can neither defend nor explain my behavior. I can also no longer deny to myself that there are issues I obviously need to examine within my own soul, and I’ve asked for help.

“I know the power of words, especially those that demean. I realize that by using one filled with disrespect I have hurt more than T.R. and my colleagues. With one word, I’ve hurt everyone who has struggled for the respect so many of us take for granted. I welcome the chance to meet with leaders of the gay and lesbian community to apologize in person and to talk about what I can do to heal the wounds I’ve opened.”

“T.R.’s courage throughout this entire episode speaks to his tremendous character. I hold his talent, and T.R. as a person, in high esteem. I know a mere apology will not end this, and I intend to let my future actions prove my sincerity.”

Here’s to hoping that the homophobe’s “future actions” are along the lines of demanding Shonda write him off the show!  I won’t accept any more creepy Patrick Dempsey ebony and ivory sing a longs or some fake ass hugs, knee pats, and awkward forced camaraderie with T.R..

Apparently today (Friday) they are having a cast sit-down to discuss their feelings.  Rumor has it that this meeting will be without Network Execs so here’s to hoping T.R. and KHeigl bring bats, razors, and some tazors just for fun.

    Isaiah Washington

Isaiah Washington is a douche bag.

Well, I’ve been sitting here stewing and ranting and raving at my desk at work so I figured why not do it in the blog too.

This is seriously the best of the worst stories of the year.  I love it.  I’m eating up the media atomic blast that happened yesterday.  Seriously what bubble was I in yesterday that I missed all of this?  Well, I wasn’t home from 7:30am until Midnight last night so that would account for most of my missing it but WOW this thing is OOC.

There is no way that ABC and Shonda Rhimes can allow Isaiah Washington to remain on Grey’s Anatomy.  NO WAY.  Now that T.R. has gone onto Ellen and confirmed Isaiah used the term “FAGGOT” in reference to him how can it be swept under the rug any longer?  It can’t.  Period.

I’m sure advocacy groups are scrambling and they should be.  In any other working environment such sexual harassment and bigotry would not (and cannot) be allowed.  If someone at my work called me a FAGGOT you can guarantee I would not rest until he/she was fired and their house was firebombed.  End of discussion.

As I sit here thinking and watching these clips over and over I just can’t help but think HOW HORRIBLY TENSE it must be on set right now.  It’s probably worse today than it was when the incident occurred back in October 2006.  For Katherine Heigl to flip out the way she did and on national television condemn Isaiah is HUGE!  I love that she knows she’s in trouble but that she doesn’t care because what happened is wrong.

Obviously the lawyers, the network and the creators of the show sat down with the cast at some point last year and said… WE WILL NOT ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AGAIN.  I mean, for the public to move on, they needed to stop talking about what happened.  And they did for a couple months but then unprovoked Homophobe Washington spoke up and created an even more hateful environment for them all.

Bad enough that KHeigl went off!  Bad enough that T.R. Knight felt compelled to speak up publically, confirm he was referred to as a “Faggot” and to call Isaiah Washington a LIAR!

Am I the only one worked up?  This is incredibly out of control.  I heart the drama.  Seriously.
