We survived another snow storm and another podcast! This week, the TV Talk Podcast gives you our thoughts on the winners and losers at this years GOLDEN GLOBES AWARDS.

DAMAGES Season 3 is hot on our heels and we briefly discuss the first two hours. Patty, Ellen and Tom are back for a killer season of manipluation and a sharp game of cat and mouse.

The most satisfying news from the winter TCA press tour revolves around the timeline for the next two seasons of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

PROJECT RUNWAY returns to New York City and the reunion feels so good! Heidi, Michael, Nina and Tim Gunn try to make it work with a new back of 16 designers. We’re already in love!

AMERICAN IDOL kicked off another season and Ducky may or may not be back on the bandwagon.

It wouldn’t be a TV podcast unless we talked about the Leno/Conan Late Night Debacle. What a shit-show…

Oh and did I mention we talk about AVATAR? Why not!

We end this week’s podcast with some fun and games! Get ready for a few rounds of “Would You Rather”: TV Edition.

The 67th Golden Globes Awards air tonight on NBC! I’m not a person that puts a lot of stock in awards shows but I do love me an awards show gathering. It’s chips and dip time y’all! Oh and the fact that Ricky Gervais is hosting makes this must watch television.

As I sit here this morning looking at the list of Golden Globes nominees, I’m realizing I don’t have much of an opinion when it comes to the film categories. Apparently I spend too much time watching films that grace the festival circuit and not the multiplex.

Does that mean I don’t have an opinion? Hardly, I always have an opinion!

Here’s how I’d like to see the Golden Globes shakedown when they air tonight (my picks are in bold). I’m not saying this is what I think will win, but in my heart what I wish would take home the golden sparkly thing. Let’s start with TV!

Best Television Series: Drama
“Mad Men”
“True Blood”
“Dexter”
“Big Love”
“House”
I really wanted to say TRUE BLOOD but some of that Maryann shit got cuckoo bananas and derailed the show at times. MAD MEN is always fucking crazy good but this season took some time to completely hook me. DEXTER on the other hand had possibly its best season to date. So gooooooooood!

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series: Drama
Jon Hamm, “Mad Men”
Hugh Laurie, “House”
Michael C. Hall, “Dexter”
Simon Baker, “The Mentalist”
Bill Paxton, “Big Love”
No contest in my opinion… Michael C. Hall should win. He played the charming, dutiful husband and father with LEAVE IT TO BEAVER grace but he also played a manic, hell bent, jealous and at times loose canon Dex this season. Scary good.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series: Drama
Anna Paquin, “True Blood”
Kyra Sedgwick, “The Closer”
Julianna Margulies, “The Good Wife”
Glenn Close, “Damages”
January Jones, “Mad Men”
While I thought January Jones did a killer job this season, she’s no Glenn Close. But I didn’t pick Glenn Close because I’m ready for a newbie this year. I’m going with Julianna Margulies because her controlled yet crazy empowering portrayal of Alicia Florrick is mesmerizing to watch.

Best Television Series: Comedy
“30 Rock”
“The Office”
“Glee”
“Modern Family”
“Entourage”
Surely most of you thought I’d pick GLEE for this category. While I think it has a better chance at winning (I mean its hands down the most original series of the year), I’m still going with MODERN FAMILY! Family continues to be a smart, witty, laugh out loud dark family comedy that hits your heart from week to week. Best Series in any category… Period!

The rest of my Golden Globes TV and Film predictions are after the jump… (more…)

Another month, another sickness induced hiatus and not one but two surgeries later, GMMR and Ducky are back with a new TV Talk Podcast!

Your favorite carcasters are back to talk about all of the TV we’ve soaked in from our hospital and sick beds.

We kick off the podcast with the Season 6 finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Then we move on to the fall finales of GLEE and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.

We sink our teeth into some TRUE BLOOD casting news then tackle the return of faves CHUCK and LOST.

MODERN FAMILY and THE OFFICE were Christmas fantastic, as were 30 ROCK and the increasingly brilliant PARKS & RECREATION.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and THE BIG BANG THEORY are always worth a good conversation as is the debate over THE GOOD WIFE.

What else is on tap? How about MERCY, IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, THE SING-OFF, SAY YES TO THE DRESS, HAPPILY EVER FASTER and LAUNCH MY LINE.

Did the right people win TOP CHEF and PROJECT RUNWAY? Who’s real pretty to look at and what’s our new TV Talk Podcast tagline?

Thanks for being so patient with our crazy illnesses and busy schedules. We wish we could podcast more regularly than we do and we think it’s amazing so many folks care about what we have to say regarding all things TV! You guys are the best.

Sit back, listen and leave us lots of comments about our newest chat-fest! Click here to listen to the latest TV Talk Podcast!

It’s been 7 weeks since our last podcast and 7 weeks since we last saw each other. You totally thought GMMR and Ducky had called it quits didn’t you? How dare you…

An extended gig in the Hamptons originally sidelined the podcast, then a horrible back injury kept this terrible TV twosome apart until now!

For our first big podcast of the Fall, we thought we’d make up for lost time with a huge 2 hour 10 minute carcast full of laughs, tears, a near death experience and even some New England leaf peeping!

    Shows covered in this podcast:

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, BIG BANG THEORY, GOSSIP GIRL, HOUSE, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, THE BIGGEST LOSER, THE GOOD WIFE, V, GLEE, MODERN FAMILY, COUGAR TOWN, TOP CHEF, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, FLASH FORWARD, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, BONES, SUPERNATURAL, FRINGE, THE OFFICE, PARKS & RECREATION, 30 ROCK, COMMUNITY, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, UGLY BETTY, DOLLHOUSE, SOUTHLAND, WHITE COLLAR, THE AMAZING RACE, SURVIVOR, DEXTER, MAD MEN and GREEK.

We hope you enjoy our ode to Fall TV so far this season and hope you’ll join in the conversation. Leave your thoughts on what we covered in the comments section of this post! We’d love to hear what you’ve got to say about the new Fall lineup.

Being the horror/sci-fi loving homo that I am, I always look forward to the Spike TV SCREAM AWARDS. You’re mixing blood, gore, splatter porn and sci-fi geekiness with a red carpet and awards show… it’s soooo up my alley!

At 10pm tonight, Muse, Tricia Helfer, Stephen Moyer, Alan Ball, Johnny Depp, Liv Tyler, Megan Fox, Katee Sackhoff, Taylor Lautner, Quentin Tarantino, Tobey Maguire ,the cast of The Big Bang Theory, J.J. Abrams, Harrison Ford, Keith Richards, Morgan Freeman, William Shatner and more will grace the stage and present the best in horror, sci-fi, fantasy and comics.

If you don’t feel like staying up late to see the goths in the audience or to see the horror that is Isabel Lucas’ eyebrows and just want to know who won, check out the list of winners after the jump… (more…)

HBO released this TRUE BLOOD / DEPECHE MODE music video and it’s orgasmic hot. I cannot wait for the season finale of True Blood this coming Sunday, September 13th.

This season has been phenomenal and I’m gonna be on pins, needles and mainlining that shit Lafayette’s been selling for Eric until it returns.

Check out this crazy sexy True Blood video featuring Depeche Mode’s “Corrupt”:

Seriously, the first time Eric comes into focus with the blood trickling down his mouth… I need a towel.

I barely ever write about TRUE BLOOD because we talk about it so much on the podcast but with the finale just around the corner, I figured… why not?

Hoyt, Jessica and Mama Fortenberry:
Obviously there had to be a kink in the Jessica/Hoyt relationship and Jess sinking her fangs into a possessed, lippy, loud mouthed Mama Fortenberry was the straw that broke Hoyt’s back.

Hoyt leaves with his Mama but later he probably wished Jess did the deed. Miss Fortenberry reveals that Hoyt’s Daddy was a raging alcoholic, a possible queer and killed himself. Poor Hoyt, all this time he thought he was killed protecting the family from a burglar. Christ on a cracker…

The Queen, Bill and More:
Rachel Evan Wood makes her debut as the Queen, a trucker mouthed Southerner with a penchant for pure blood and a knowledge base that will help ole Billy boy with their whole “Maryann” issue.

Seems that while Maryann isn’t indestructible, because she firmly believes she is immortal, she’s been growing stronger and with every fuck, kill and possession she brings herself closer to the divine. Bottom line, she’s not human any longer and there’s no stopping her… sorta.

After holding Bill hostage with a Chorus Line of lovelies and a game of Yahtzee, she gives up that the Maenad ironically seek Death. The only way to stop them is to rise Dionysus – or trick them into thinking Dionysus has risen (as Gods never truly present themselves) so that Maryann will give herself over to him and in that moment, its the only time you could kill her. The issue – Maryann can’t offer herself over until she finds a suitable supernatural vessel from which “he” can rise. Vamps won’t due as the don’t have beating hearts but shape-shifters and werewolves are fine… as is I suspect Sookie!

How hilarious was it when Eric arrives and the Queen tells Bill that he and Eric should just fuck to get it over with. HILARIOUS and YES PLEASE!

Another carcast, another rainstorm and another podcast over an hour! This week Kath and Dan kick off the podcast talking about TOP CHEF LAS VEGAS. From foodies to fangbangers, its off to Bon Temps and a little TRUE BLOOD.

BIG BROTHER 11 kicked another psychotic houseguest out while we dodged planes landing on the highway.

We talked the NURSE JACKIE finale and MAD MEN’s latest episode before catching up on old shows. From GOSSIP GIRL to DOLLHOUSE to SUPERNATURAL we talk the good, bad and tragic about the shows we’re catching up on this summer.

It’s our last podcast before our Fall TV Previews so do not miss out on all the summer fun.

Kath and Dan are back with a regular TV Talk Podcast about all things summer TV and vampire! That’s right, we’re vamp crazy so there’s plenty of talk about TRUE BLOOD, BEING HUMAN, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and more.

Also on tap, BIG BROTHER 11, NURSE JACKIE, ENTOURAGE, WAREHOUSE 13, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA, GREEK, PSYCH, SKINS plus an update on PROJECT SUPERNATURAL.

If that’s not enough, we talk about the best pilot on The CW you WON’T see this fall and we want answers as to why.

Last night’s TRUE BLOOD was so fang-frakkin’-tastic that I didn’t want it to end. If you listened to last week’s BLOOD heavy podcast, you know I’ve got a sick addiction to this show. This week, we finally got some answers, we got a new maker, there was some action and honestly who doesn’t love a little Hoyt and Jessica action?

A warning to the Producers… if something happens to my boy Hoyt, I’m gonna go Eric in the basement with some chains on y’alls asses!

At the beginning of the episode, Sookie’s dumb ass is still stuck in the basement with Hugo. That situation went from trust to the revelation that Hugo is the traitor in the vamp camp and that he’s been working with The Fellowship all along.

What I love about Sookie is her very gut reaction to everything. She’s not afraid to just blurt something out when she discovers it and I appreciate that in her. Did everyone notice that the “Send ‘em to Hell” game in the cage that Sookie discovered had the image of Kiefer as the vamp from LOST BOYS? Genius!

How about Steve discovering Sookie is Jason’s sister? Hugo and his big ass mouth! I was wondering how this would play out and assumed Jason would walk in on her all shackled in the basement but this was much more fun! I think I need a Gabe in my life. Some dumb balding muscle to make things happen for me. Is there a hotline to LODI somewhere?

Jason’s storyline was all over the place (much like this fucking recap I’m doing here)… He went from bedding Sarah to being completely turned off by her displaced love in the matter of minutes. Pure Jason Stackhouse! I loved the look on Jason’s face when she said they needed to come clean to Steve. Trying to make a clean escape, he’s captured by the now knowing Steve and Gabe. Gabe tries to kill Jason but he kicks some ass and heads back to headquarters…

Back in Dallas, Bill’s held captive by his maker Lorena and we finally got a ton of movement in their previous and future relationship! The Bill/Lorena flashback to 1935 Hollywood was finally really interesting. We learned that after some time, the boy gained some sort of conscience which she didn’t appreciate much and to be released from her powers, he threatened to dust himself.

If you’re not a fan of our SYTYCD podcasts, then you’re in luck! This week we’re back with a regular TV Talk Podcast with GMMR and Ducky. We decided to dedicate a lot of time to our other favorite summer obsession, TRUE BLOOD. We talk all things vamptastic and if you’re a fan of the show we’ve got questions we need answers to so pay attention and leave comments.

Next up is BIG BROTHER 11. After that, we talk a little bit about the amazing return of TORCHWOOD: CHILDREN OF EARTH and its shocking 5 night mini-series.

Last, we talk about all things COMIC-CON 2009. What panels we missed (CHUCK, BIG BANG THEORY, GLEE, LOST, DOLLHOUSE, SUPERNATURAL and more), which shows had the most impressive online presence and all the news/gossip that came out of the con.

I know that I’m a really horrible TV Blogger, I get it and I know it sucks. If I’m not gallivanting here or there, I’m too busy doing X, Y & Z or like this past week… packing and moving. That really puts a huge kink in television viewing which then means I’ve got nothing to blog about.

Trust me, it annoys me more than it annoys y’all. The only thing I can tell you is that Kath (GMMR) and I plan on doing another podcast as soon as possible because we know there’s a ton of stuff to talk about.

What are you all watching? What do you all want to talk about? Should we talk about Jason Stackhouse’s abs (TRUE BLOOD)? Thomas Jane’s monster wang (HUNG)? HARPER’S ISLAND’s newest dead weight? Who’ll become THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR? NURSE JACKIE? WIPEOUT?

Oh no, I’ve got it… THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ’s crazy assedness! While I love the HOUSEWIVES franchise and thoroughly enjoyed New Jersey’s cast, that reunion show was the most boring thing ever!

You know how Dina’s Husband Tommy has never been on the show? Well I got to see him today! Randomly I turned on the tube for a couple minutes and saw Dina and Caroline! It wasn’t Housewives though, it was a 2007 rerun of MY BIG FAT FABULOUS WEDDING! The show chronicled Dina and Tommy’s $1,125,000 750 guest wedding and it was banoodles! I loved seeing little Lexie, roots for days Dina and semi-Kate Gosselin bad hair on Caroline. No sign of Teresa, Jacqueline or whorey mcwhoresalot Danielle.

I hope to be back to regular viewing shortly, in the meantime thanks for being cramazing.
